Returned from Another World, Earth Turned Out to Be Quite the Fantasy Too. Also, Losing Heroines, Stop Looking This Way. - V4 Chapter 40
Chapter 40: “Feels Like Another Big Name Incoming?”
“Man, Natsuki-kyun, you’ve got it rough. Getting stalked by an ugly girl who calls you ‘onii-chan’? What kind of torture is that?”
“Ahahaha… Still better than being a hero in another world.”
“Okay, but I’m seriously dying to know what kind of life you had over there~”
Leviathan was completely fascinated by Natsuki’s past.
And not-so-subtly called Anzu ugly in the process.
“Alright, that’s enough. Afternoon classes are about to start. Get back to your classroom.”
“Okaaay~”
“No, Leviathan, you stay right here. Also, where exactly were you planning to go? You don’t even have a class. Honestly…”
Before Natsuki could even respond, Leviathan cheerfully answered and started walking toward the school building—
Only to be stopped in his tracks as Tsukuyomi grabbed him by the collar.
Standing up straight, Leviathan was incredibly short, barely reaching 140 centimeters.
Natsuki himself was a bit below the average height for his age, but even then, Leviathan was tiny.
Seriously—who in their right mind would ever believe that this little guy was the strongest sea monster in existence?
“By the way, Natsuki-kyun~”
“Yeah?”
“That ugly girl from earlier—want me to take care of her for you~?”
“Take care of her… how?”
“Easy! I’ll just flood her head with magic and turn her brain to mush~ Then she won’t even remember who you are!”
“Yeah, uh… let’s not. That’d cause trouble for her father too.”
Natsuki found Anzu annoying, but when he thought about Seiji Ayakawa, he couldn’t bring himself to go that far.
Anzu aside, Seiji had always been a good father figure to him—one of the few people Natsuki could genuinely call family.
The last thing he wanted was for the man to spend the rest of his life taking care of a broken daughter.
“Man, Natsuki-kyun, you’re seriously weird. I mean, why not just break anyone who causes you trouble? It’s way easier. That ugly girl’s existence doesn’t affect your life at all, right? So in the end, wouldn’t it be the same if she just stopped existing?”
“That’s enough.”
Before Natsuki could respond, Tsukuyomi’s voice turned sharp.
“Leviathan, if you try anything foolish with my student, I will personally deal with you. I may not be able to kill you, but I can beat you down so hard you won’t be able to move for the next few centuries.”
“Yeah, yeah. Geez, Tsukuyomi-chin, you’ve got no sense of humor!”
Tsukuyomi didn’t emit a single hint of killing intent or hostility—not even the slightest shift in emotion.
Yet his words didn’t sound like a joke at all.
Leviathan’s voice, which had carried a distinct demonic edge just moments ago, softened—returning to its usual friendly tone.
(Yep… Tsukuyomi-sensei is impossible to read. Susa-Susa was straightforward, but this guy? He’s on a whole different level. Also, Levia-ko is seriously strong. Not as unreadable as Satan, but even if you gathered all of the Demon Lord’s army from that other world, they’d still lose. I mean, if they couldn’t even beat me, they sure as hell wouldn’t stand a chance against Levia-ko.)
Mammon had been strong, too—
But these two were on an entirely different tier.
Even among the Seven Deadly Sins, there was a clear gap in power.
A part of Natsuki couldn’t help but wonder just how strong the rest of them were.
“—Oh, Natsuki-kun. I almost forgot to mention something.”
“Something important?”
“When you get home, the Norse Thunder God, Thor, will be waiting for you.”
“WHY?!”
“He is a warrior at heart, but he’s far more reasonable than a certain idiotic younger brother or that slimy youkai who keeps going ‘nuranura.’ He even brought me a gift when entering Mukaijima City, so at least he has manners. Though… I do wonder why he chose manjuu and doburoku as his offerings. In any case, he is not a troublesome god, so please be courteous.”
“Wait, hold on! Thor is an actual big name! Like—way bigger than Leviathan!”
“Ahhh! You did NOT just say that! I’m super famous in the godly circles too, you know~!”
Natsuki had blurted out his honest thoughts without thinking—
And Leviathan, looking adorably irritated, puffed up his cheeks in protest.
“Tsukuyomi-sensei!”
“What is it?”
“I’m leaving school early! I need to buy a signing board and a frame—because I need Thor-san’s autograph!”
“Absolutely not!”
~~Afterword~~
Is Natsuki finally going to meet Thor?!
Even he can’t help but get excited about this one!
