Returned from Another World, Earth Turned Out to Be Quite the Fantasy Too. Also, Losing Heroines, Stop Looking This Way. - V4 Chapter 37
Chapter 37: “Still a Big Name, Huh?” ②
Natsuki Yura, a middle schooler in the peak of adolescence and a former hero from another world, gulped.
“―Does this unbelievably cute girl… actually have one? No way. Wait, don’t be fooled. This guy is Leviathan, one of the Seven Deadly Sins. Stay focused! Remember, Hero Natsuki Yura! How many temptations did you resist in that godforsaken isekai?! You refused to lay hands on any woman, got accused of being into men, and they even sent boys and old men your way until you snapped and lost it! Don’t waver now! Not even that twisted world had trap characters! Somebody help me—Miss Holy Sword!”
“Uh… so, um. This is kinda hard to say, but… you’re saying all of that out loud. Also, your isekai sounds insane.”
“Ahhh! My stupid mouth!”
It didn’t matter whether Leviathan was one of the Seven Deadly Sins or some ultra-big-shot demon.
The real problem was that, no matter how you looked at him, Leviathan was a beautiful girl—except he wasn’t.
Natsuki was a perfectly normal guy. Sure, after returning from the other world, his standards had changed a little, but before getting summoned, he had indulged in the usual adolescent interests.
And yeah… he wouldn’t deny that traps were among them.
But never in his life did he think he’d encounter a real one in person.
For Natsuki, this was rarer than getting summoned as a hero to another world.
“…No, a former hero who survived another world won’t be deceived. There’s plenty to question—like why the hell you’re wearing a middle school uniform, or why striped knee-high socks suit you so damn well—but there’s no way a girl this cute is actually a guy!”
“Aww, you’re making me blush~”
With a playful giggle, Leviathan’s cheeks turned red as he twisted his body bashfully. It was shamelessly deliberate—
Yet still, undeniably cute.
“…O God. Is this… some kind of trial?”
Somewhere in the distance, he swore he heard a voice yell, “Hell no, it’s not.”
“God’s got nothing to do with this~ That old man just went and created us, then completely abandoned us! If child protective services existed in mythology, I’d have reported him in a heartbeat!”
“…Yeah. That one’s definitely on God.”
“Right?! I worked so hard growing up, eating all sorts of sea monsters to get stronger. Whenever some demon or god picked a fight with me, I just chomped them down, and before I knew it—boom! I became a big deal! Eheheh!”
Leviathan puffed out his completely flat chest with pride.
Natsuki clapped.
And as a random thought crossed his mind—
Mammon was like this too.
Did the Seven Deadly Sins all have such… strange personalities?
At this point, he seriously started to wonder if they were chosen specifically for their quirks.
“Uh, so… Leviathan-san—”
“Too long! Just call me Levia-ko~!”
“Levia-ko?! You’re really okay with that?!”
“Yup, yup! So, what’s up?”
“Why did you come to Japan—no, more specifically, to Mukaijima City? Sightseeing?”
“That’s part of it, but my real goal is you, Natsuki Yura-kyun~”
“—Kyun, you say?”
What was this strange fluttering in his chest?
Natsuki felt short of breath.
“You took down Mammon, beat the crap out of that shitty Susanoo, and even made him cry. Of course I’d be interested~! Lucifer-chan went all ‘Stay away from Natsuki-kyun~’ but seriously, who wouldn’t be curious after hearing that? But you see, demons are a race that only respects strength, so all the weaklings are too scared of Lucifer-chan to make a move. Me, though? I don’t give a damn! So here I am~!”
“I see… so, you just… showed up, huh? Wait—does that mean you’re just here for fun?!”
Leviathan shook his head with an exaggerated “Non-non!”
A wicked grin spread across his face—one dripping with pure demonic desire.
“I’ve come to become Natsuki-kyun’s wife~!”
“HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA?!”
“What’s wrong with a trap being your bride?”
“No, that’s not really the issue here.”
“Whoa, seriously?! It doesn’t bother you?!”
“The real problem is whether Levia-ko-san is actually a trap in the first place!”
“…I seeee. That’s a valid concern. But there’s only one way to find out!”
“Let’s hear it!”
“If you make me your bride, you can confirm it on our wedding night! Oh, and by the way, both front and back are completely untouched, so you can dye me in Natsuki-kyun’s colors~!”
“………Gulp.”
“That’s enough nonsense.”
With a whack, Tsukuyomi smacked both Natsuki and Leviathan on the head.
“Ow!”
“Ah—Tsukuyomi-chin!”
“Stop calling me that. It’s been a while, Leviathan. I never expected you to come to Mukaijima City. Amaterasu ignoring someone as big as you… deserves punishment.”
Tsukuyomi stood there with a sour expression—having, of course, appeared out of nowhere.
(Levia-ko-san and Tsukuyomi-sensei are way too stealthy! This world’s fantasy stuff is scarier than the actual isekai worlds!)
~~Afterword~~
The big-name folks are basically lining up, but honestly, I’m really struggling with the order.
Like, if Indra shows up, the world might just break. And then there’s Maya, Zoroaster, and a whole bunch of other disasters waiting in the wings.
For now, I’ll be focusing on the god-related ones first.
