Chapter 72: “Aren’t Both Your Parents Big Names?”

Izanagi-no-Mikoto is known as the Godfather of the Japanese people.

Ginko couldn’t understand why such a deity would want to take care of Ren Kobayashi and tilted her head in confusion.

When Ginko was still a lively high school girl, she became best friends with Amaterasu, who was disguised as a human named Teruko Amano. 

They hit it off over shared hobbies and quickly became best friends. They joined a certain club known only to a select few, secretly participating in various creative projects.

Because they were best friends, Ginko visited Teruko’s house to hang out, and sometimes even stayed over for meals. Needless to say, she shared a meal with Teruko’s parents.

“THIS CAN’T BE!? I was eating hamburgers with Amaterasu-Omikami, Izanagi-no-Mikoto, and Izanami-no-Mikoto?!”

“A typical family dinner, huh?”

“It was super delicious!!!”

After graduating high school and becoming a police officer, busy days of taking down criminals and evil spirits made Ginko lose touch with Teruko. She never imagined they would reunite like this.

“Oh, by the way, remember when you stayed over and a relative gave you vegetables?”

“Yeah, I remember. Wait a minute, let me guess, that was also a deity?”

“Yes, it was the god of fire, Kagutsuchi!”

“Yeah, I’m gonna fainttttttttttttt!”

Ginko screamed so much that her throat hurt, and she even got a headache.
