Returned from Another World, Earth Turned Out to Be Quite the Fantasy Too. Also, Losing Heroines, Stop Looking This Way. - V2 Chapter 53
Chapter 53: “Kazuto has a big heart, doesn’t he?”
“I mean, I never imagined I’d meet the boy I got along with online, especially not like this and certainly not a middle schooler. Just chatting and talking won’t get me in trouble, right?”
“Could you, as a sun goddess, not worry about getting in trouble with national authorities?”
Amaterasu, now back in her casual sweatpants, glanced at Kazuto as she made her excuses.
Natsuki personally thinks it’s okay for a middle schooler to date an adult if they really like each other. But he’s unsure if it’s okay to consider a relationship between Amaterasu and a regular middle schooler as normal.
“So, you two haven’t met in person before, and you haven’t even seen each other’s faces online?”
Natsuki doesn’t play online games much but knows you can chat and video call using phones or computers, and even talk face-to-face.
Both shook their heads.
“We’ve only ever interacted through the game and some private messages. We’ve talked on the phone and vented about our families, but we never thought about showing our faces to each other.”
“Well, I would be lying if I said I wasn’t curious, but I didn’t want to be seen as a sloppy old lady.”
“Then, maybe you should try to spruce up a bit.”
Natsuki muttered this, and everyone except Kazuto nodded in agreement.
“My bad.”
Also, he wondered why she changed back into her lint-covered sweatpants after getting all dressed up. But, he’s decided to just let it go.
“The world is full of wonders, isn’t it?”
Kazuto said with a chuckle, drawing everyone’s attention.
He was as calm and natural as ever, without showing any signs of pulling away from Amaterasu.
“Just the day before yesterday, I thought I was getting involved with psychics, gods, and demons, and now it turns out Teruko-chan, who I’ve been getting along with, is actually a goddess, Amaterasu-Omikami. It’s really amazing.”
“Um, Kazu-kun.”
“Yes?”
“You’re not disappointed, are you?”
As she timidly asked, everyone gulped, especially since the Minazuki family had a future to consider with Amaterasu.
They hoped Kazuto would praise her, even if it was a lie.
But Kazuto’s response was unexpected.
“Disappointed? Why would I be? Teruko-chan is wonderful just as she is.”
“Eh?”
“I was surprised to hear you’re a goddess, but that’s about it. I still think you’re the same slightly mischievous and cute person I’ve been talking to!”
(Kazuto… you’re just amazing)
Natsuki was impressed.
Could a second-year middle school student really accept someone for who they are, especially after seeing the unconventional behavior and appearance of Amaterasu?
No. Most middle schoolers tend to focus a lot on appearances.
However, Kazuto was different. Perhaps because he has a brother with lax morals or because he’s seen his brother choose women based solely on their looks, Kazuto has grown to be a good kid who looks beyond the superficial and truly sees the person inside.
“―Eh? Are you a god? So wonderful, is this love?”
“No, you’re the god here. But I get the feeling. A cute boy whose looks and actions are divine is a god! Well, for me, that’s Natsuki-kun!”
“Typical of you, Ginko-chan.”
“Hehehe, it’s great to see Teruko-san hasn’t changed. Only someone who created legendary doujinshi in high school could do that.”
“Fuhehe.”
“Guhehe.”
Ginko, feeling a sense of kinship, shakes hands with Amaterasu, who was dripping with a nosebleed.
“These guys are so weird!”
Koume was taken aback, and Natsuki almost agreed but managed to hold back.
“…So, who’s going to sort out this mess?”
It was when Natsuki prayed to heaven.
“I’m terribly sorry to intrude, but I’ve been informed that my family is causing trouble, so I’ve come to scold them.”
As the sliding doors of the Minazuki family’s reception room forcefully opened, Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto, Natsuki’s middle school teacher and Amaterasu’s younger brother, appeared with a vein popping on his forehead.
“―God has descended!”
Natsuki cheered, welcoming Tsukuyomi’s arrival.
〜〜Afterword〜〜
We’ll see what happens next with Kazuto-kun and Goddess Amaterasu some other time. And Tsukuyomi-sensei makes a reappearance!
Yeah, no
That’s hardly an uncommon opinion among middle schoolers developing an attraction to the opposite sex.
It’s why middle schoolers don’t get to legally make that decision…
No matter what you say, I believe in love, I believe in love
