Returned from Another World, Earth Turned Out to Be Quite the Fantasy Too. Also, Losing Heroines, Stop Looking This Way. - V2 Chapter 51
Chapter 51: “A Fake, right?” ③
The group moved to the Minazuki family’s living room, leaving Amaterasu playing her handheld game. Natsuki informed the Minazuki family about Amaterasu’s requests.
“…So, you’re saying all she needs is food that fills her up and some alcohol?”
“And an internet connection. That seems to be the most important.”
“…Okay, I’m not too familiar with alcohol and internet stuff, but I’ll see what I can do.”
Kaya tried not to look at Amaterasu as she spoke, managing to squeeze out her words. It was clear that the previous land deity, Mizuchi, had never made such trivial requests.
The counselor Seiun seemed to understand, saying, “Well, even gods need their pleasures,” but Unkai remained silent, her forehead vein popping out. She seemed to be reaching her limit but was desperately trying to keep her composure because of who the other party was.
Miyako and Mio had gone to get a souvenir for Natsuki, so they weren’t in the room.
“But really, can this good-for-nothing goddess actually handle the duties of a land deity? It might be better to just leave the land be than to entrust it to someone like her. Even the most minor deity would seem more respectable compared to her.”
“…”
Koume said this about Amaterasu, who then lifted her face from her gaming device to stare intently at Koume.
“What? You wanna fight?”
“Could it be Koume-san?”
“You didn’t realize until now?”
“No, I didn’t. Last time we met, you were such a lovely young lady. What happened… is this a late rebellious phase?”
“It’s all because of my damn father! Of course, I’d rebel!”
“Ah, that’s just like me wanting to stay at home.”
“Don’t lump me in with you!”
Natsuki looked up to the heavens, hand on his forehead.
Despite efforts to keep Koume’s identity a secret, it was now out in the open with the Minazuki family members looking shocked that Amaterasu knew Koume.
Natsuki had heard that Amaterasu and Koume had met before, but thought Amaterasu was pretending not to recognize Koume to keep her secret. Turns out, that wasn’t the case.
“Now I’m really curious about what Koume-san was like in the past.”
“Yeah, super curious.”
Ginko whispered this from beside him, and Natsuki nodded deeply.
“Um, Natsuki-sama… this beautiful lady… could she possibly be?”
“Yeah, well, she’s not human.”
“Would it be okay to ask for her name?”
When Natsuki looked at Koume, she puffed out her chest and struck a pose.
“I’m Koume from the Lucifer family!”
“Lucifer!?”
“Just to clear up any misunderstandings, she isn’t the Devil Lucifer, but the angel Lucifer. The Devil is Koume-chan’s dad.”
“L-Lucifer and the devil… You mean”
“It’s Satan.”
Kaya, Seiun, and Unkai immediately prostrated themselves deeply.
Koume, for some reason, seemed very pleased with the respect shown to her.
“Don’t worry, raise your heads!”
“With respect!”
“I may be Lucifer, but right now, I’m just Koume, the cute girl from the Yura family. I’m taking a break from being an angel, so please treat me accordingly. But, if you want this useless goddess to listen to you, feel free to ask me. Unlike the gods of Japan, I do things my way!”
“If there’s anything you need, please let us borrow your strength.”
“Sure!”
The conversation moved on.
Regarding alcohol, Natsuki and Ginko recommended using the liquor store Hanamaru, and they agreed to take care of the order.
Drinking buddies Ginko and Koume had a secret chat with Amaterasu about what brands and types of alcohol she liked, so they decided to order based on that.
Kaya doesn’t drink, counselor Seiun likes Japanese sake and doesn’t know much about Western liquor, and Unkai doesn’t seem to drink either, so they were happy to leave the decision to others.
As for the internet, the Minazuki household already had it, and Miyako and Mio were taking care of the plan in place of their tech-challenged mother. They decided to leave the internet setup to the sisters.
“Um, excuse me.”
Just when it seemed like the conversation was winding down, Kazuto timidly raised his hand.
“Do you need something, Miyahara-sama?”
“Ah, well, I was wondering if I could ask something to Amaterasu-sama, or rather, if it was okay to speak to her.”
Kaya looked at Amaterasu, who responded, “Sure, go ahead.”
“You mentioned a ‘stupid muscle-brain brother’ earlier, right?”
“Uh, oh, yes. I did say that. There’s this guy, Susanoo, who’s exactly like that. His wife is such a sensible and wonderful person, and it’s surprising she fell for someone like him.”
“I knew it!”
“Huh? What do you mean?”
“Could it be… In the game, do you go by the name Teruko-chan?”
“…How do you know my soul’s name?”
“I’m Kazu-kun.”
“―Eh?”
Amaterasu froze.
Natsuki and the others, not understanding the significance, looked puzzled.
“We’ve talked in the game and also messaged each other normally, right? You often mention the ‘stupid muscle-brain brother,’ so I thought it might be you.”
“Could it be… Kazu-kun, the one troubled by his shitty brother?”
“Yeah.”
It seems the two knew each other through the game.
The world is small, but this feels too coincidental.
“Hey, this useless goddess suddenly looks all girly.”
“How should we react to a goddess suddenly making a lady’s face?”
“You don’t both need to say it!”
It’s hard to believe, but the “Prince” Amaterasu mentioned earlier might actually be Kazuto.
Though it should be a warm spring day, Natsuki broke out in a cold sweat.
The next moment,
“GYAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!”
Amaterasu let out a scream that you wouldn’t expect from a goddess.
〜〜Afterword〜〜
Next time, is it a hint of romance?
Didn’t Ginko mention a friend named Teruko previously, too? Back during the “crossdressing Yuto” discussion?
