Returned from Another World, Earth Turned Out to Be Quite the Fantasy Too. Also, Losing Heroines, Stop Looking This Way. - V2 Chapter 04
Chapter 04: “It seems like you’re just saying whatever you like, huh?” ①
“Yura-kun, good morning!”
“Ah, Miyako-san. Good morning.”
As he came out of the staff room after apologizing to the teacher, Miyako Minazuki was there waiting, seemingly out of nowhere, greeting him with a beaming smile.
When he reunited with his classmate, whose existence he had forgotten due to his time in another world, the first impression was far from flattering.
The situation didn’t turn out to be the worst, thanks to the unrestricted Yuto and the self-centered Anzu.
After much back and forth, Natsuki, having received an apology from Miyako, thought it would be good to build a positive relationship with her, given they were classmates.
“Allow me to carry your bag!”
“Hey, it’s fine, really, don’t pull on the bag so hard.”
Despite being a watcher, she attempted to carry Natsuki’s school bag like a loyal underling.
There was no need for her to carry the bag when they were already at school and the classroom was just nearby, especially since it was almost empty and not heavy at all.
Being seen by other students allowing a Japanese beauty like Miyako to carry his bag could potentially lead to all sorts of negative rumors.
“It’s fine about the bag, please, I’m begging you, let it go.”
After reclaiming his bag and hugging it protectively, Miyako appeared a bit dejected but quickly switched her mood and started walking towards the classroom with Natsuki.
“Thank you again for yesterday. I was able to face Onee-chan properly thanks to you, Yura-kun. We even slept together last night. Despite being slender, Onee-chan is surprisingly soft, uhehe.”
“You’re making a face that a girl shouldn’t make.”
“Oops, my apologies. By the way, Yura-kun, you seem tired this morning. Is it perhaps still about the issue with Mizuchi-sama?”
Miyako’s concern brought a smile to his face, “No, no, it’s not that.”
Mizuchi was strong and he did exert some effort, but it wasn’t something that would carry over to the next day.
The real cause, of course, was Asuka Matsushima.
Natsuki thought Miyako might be the right person to ask about Asuka, who he wasn’t particularly interested in, hoping she might know something, especially from a girl’s perspective, which could provide insights unknown to boys.
“I’ve had quite a morning. Miyako-san, do you know Asuka Matsushima?”
He could have ignored his so-called childhood friend, but neglecting her had led to complications, so he inquired, hoping for some way to handle the situation. Miyako’s face clearly showed her disdain.
“Asuka Matsushima? Of course, you mean that fuking bi―, right?”
“Huh? Did you just use a really bad word?”
“You’re imagining things.”
“But—”
“It’s your imagination. So, about that bi― no, I mean Matsushima-san, what about her?”
“You did use a rude word, didn’t you!?”
Hearing words he’d prefer not to from the pure-looking Miyako, Natsuki was taken aback.
However, the fact that Miyako resorted to such language suggested a very negative impression of Asuka.
“Um, do you know something? I got annoyingly tangled up with her this morning.”
“Now that you mention it, Matsushima-san is said to be your childhood friend, right? She often says so. And always follows up by comparing you to Yuto Miyahara, which girls usually ignore.”
“Does playing together for a bit when we were little really make us childhood friends?”
“How brief was it?”
“About a month.”
“…Isn’t that just an acquaintance?”
“Right!?”
Natsuki felt a genuine relief being validated by someone else as just acquaintances.
“Plus, when we played together, I thought she was a boy. Even after finding out she was a girl, my reaction was just, ‘Oh, really?'”
“…Is that so?”
Miyako looked a bit surprised.
“Why are you surprised?”
“Well, it’s just that Matsushima-san often says that Yura-kun has feelings for her.”
“How dare she!”
〜〜Afterword〜〜
Natsuki-kun was angry.
As angry as when he found out that the monsters he exterminated in another world were actually the remnants of spirits killed by humans.
