Returned from Another World, Earth Turned Out to Be Quite the Fantasy Too. Also, Losing Heroines, Stop Looking This Way. - V2 Chapter 03
Chapter 03: “An Assassin Just Showed Up.” ②
“Ah, this is strange. So, what brings you to me? I’d like to head to school soon.”
“Oh, sorry, sorry. It’s not about Yuto anymore, so I was thinking maybe it’s about time things went back to normal between Natsuki and me?”
“Hmm?”
“I know I did a lot with Yuto, but in exchange, I know a lot of things that could please Natsuki, you know?”
Natsuki wondered what she meant by “you know?”
He debated whether to seriously engage with her or just ignore her.
Besides, when she says “go back to normal,” they hardly played together as children, so what’s there to revert to?
Moreover, he disliked the idea of conversing with someone who had been “involved” with Yuto.
“Um, I’m going to school now. Goodbye.”
“Ah, yeah. Goodbye—no, wait, not goodbye. Oh, this is so frustrating! I’m saying I’ll date you! Can’t you take a hint?”
“…Why?”
“Why? Well, when I was with Yuto, for some reason, I said some terrible things to Natsuki, right? So, it’s like an apology, or a way to say sorry.”
“Eh. You could just apologize normally. No, before that, I wasn’t really bothered by it. It’s okay, we’re good. So, that settles it.”
Honestly, Natsuki was put off.
Asuka had often made comparisons between Natsuki and Yuto in the past, with a clearly disdainful attitude. While it’s good that she feels guilty and realizes she did something terrible, the idea of dating as an apology is inconceivable.
Frankly, Natsuki had always thought of Asuka as one of the boys when they played together in their childhood, and even after realizing she was a girl, he didn’t think much of it beyond “huh.”
Asuka, with her boyish charm and friendly demeanor, might be popular among boys of her age. However, for Natsuki, the choice is clear: not interested.
He has no interest, no concern, and is fed up with anyone related to Yuto.
Above all, he’s enjoying a fun life with beauties like Koume and Ginko. When asked if he finds any of his female classmates appealing, unfortunately, the answer is a difficult no.
The time spent with Koume and Ginko, who are not only attractive ladies but also like family and long-time friends with whom he can interact openly and without reservation, is precious to him.
He doesn’t want to waste that valuable time getting involved with Asuka.
(While I believe she truly feels sorry, her eyes… they remind me of those from another world who used me. With such creepy eyes, there’s no way I’d be swayed.)
“Hey, what do you mean by ‘it’s okay’? Do you know how many times I’ve been asked out by boys? I like Natsuki, so you could at least respond to that!”
“I’ll pass, thanks.”
“Natsuki, you’ve never dated a girl, right? I can teach you a lot about what feels good, you know?”
“No, thank you.”
Fending off the persistent solicitation with his bag, Natsuki quickly made his escape. When Asuka chased after him, he started to run, and fortunately, she didn’t follow.
(What’s with her, she’s scary! Even though we’re just middle schoolers, it’s just… no! I don’t find it erotic or anything, it’s just creepy! Ew!)
While Natsuki thought it was good that Asuka had moved on from Yuto, he never expected her to turn her attention to him.
Trying to shake off his visceral disgust towards Asuka, he reached the school and was about to confide in Kazuto, the only person he could talk to about the situation, when a teacher caught him.
“Hey, Yura! How many days do you think you’ve skipped school?”
“I’m sorry!”
Between the appearance of a new self-proclaimed childhood friend and being scolded by a teacher, it was a thoroughly bad morning for Natsuki.
〜〜Afterword〜〜
This wasn’t an assassin but rather a self-proclaimed childhood friend, Asuka.
Please understand the circumstances. More details to come next time.
