Natsuki was convinced that Yuto Miyahara’s behavior towards Anzu stemmed from his awareness of possessing some “special power.”

Though he hadn’t pinpointed its exact nature, the potential for realization was there if triggered.

The moment Yuto came into contact with Anzu, a latent ability that should have remained dormant temporarily erupted—an event Natsuki couldn’t overlook.

What surprised Natsuki the most was the nature of Yuto’s latent ability, which, although different in direction and capability, was identified as the power of a hero.

Frankly, Natsuki had considered leaving Yuto to his own devices, believing he posed no real threat, at most an annoyance akin to a gnat. 

However, the situation differed with the realization that he possessed the power of a hero.

Even if it was merely a charm for now, his intuition screamed that should he fully awaken and become aware of his power, the consequences could be dire. 

The charm might strengthen, possibly to the extent of brainwashing. He could gain offensive capabilities, targeting those he disliked for elimination.

Given Yuto’s history of living as he pleased, acquiring significant power likely wouldn’t result in self-restraint.

Unluckily for Yuto, his childhood friend Natsuki had awakened to his power earlier and, at present, possessed a considerably greater magnitude of power.

Fortuitously for Natsuki, he was able to understand the essence of Yuto’s power before it fully awakened, thanks to information provided by Kazuto.

Kazuto might not have fully grasped the situation, but he was aware that Yuto harbored an unhealthy obsession with Natsuki.

It was astonishing to realize that Yuto didn’t even harbor genuine affection for the girls he was usually with. 

Moreover, Yuto had been under surveillance since he consulted Kaya Minazuki the other day. 

Kaya, believing Natsuki’s words, decided that if Yuto were to misuse his power, it couldn’t be overlooked. 

The whereabouts of Yuto, monitored by the crow shikigami, were quickly discovered.

Upon closer observation, he found that Yuto was in the midst of instigating Anzu.

That alone would have been tolerable. 

Whether Anzu attempted anything of interest was inconsequential.

However, the fact that Yuto chose Koume as his target over Natsuki was intolerable. 

Yuto’s charm, even if it were to reach the level of a hero’s power, would not affect Koume, let alone Ginko. Koume was simply too strong to be influenced by someone like Yuto.

But that’s a separate matter. 

The issue at hand was the potential harm to a new friend. Koume, who had become akin to family in a short period, did not deserve to be subjected to any malice, regardless of whether actual harm was inflicted or not. 

In essence, Yuto Miyahara had made the wrong choice at the very end.

Natsuki’s punch did not fracture Yuto’s cheekbone, but it delivered a certain power simultaneously. It was a sealing technique, gifted in gratitude by Kaya Minazuki.

“―Natsuki!?”

“―Don’t give me that! I’m tired of it, really tired. I feel nauseous just thinking about your existence. There’s nothing but disgust. I absolutely hate having anything to do with you!”

“Natsuki! How could you say such things to me, your childhood friend! After all, you—”

“Ah, I couldn’t care less about your opinions. No one’s interested in what you have to say!”

“Gubehh.”

He punched him once more for good measure.

Facing Yuto, who had fallen to the ground, he activated a spell.

“―Be bound. Sealing Technique—Prison.”

He uttered the words softly, inaudible to Yuto or Anzu, but infused with magical power.

In an instant, the spell sealed away Yuto’s power.

Natsuki, admittedly unfamiliar with the proper use of this spell, improvised with his exceptional magical strength to thoroughly immobilize him.

While the spell seemed to have a physical toll, Natsuki was beyond caring. 

Even if not at his peak, Natsuki’s full magical force was enough to seal all of Yuto’s latent abilities. The only ways to undo this spell would be for Natsuki to die, for Yuto to surpass Natsuki in power and undo it himself, or for a third party with equal strength to Natsuki to intervene.

“Given the extent of Yura-sama’s power, it’s nearly impossible for any human to undo it. In fact, it’s uncertain if even gods or demons could manage.”

This was guaranteed by Kaya Minazuki.

It was nearly impossible for Yuto to break the seal on his own. Even if he were to discover his spiritual abilities, they would remain sealed, preventing any growth.

(I wouldn’t say I’m not killing him because he’s not worth the effort to kill. Instead, I’m looking forward to seeing how he pays for the consequences of acting on his whims without his charm.)

Those who were freed from his charm should rightfully impose a fitting punishment on him, making him suffer as he deserves.

Physically sealed, he should come to realize that his easy days of manipulating others are over and despair in that realization.

(If you can still make girls fall for you without your charm, then that’s a win for you. But that’s highly unlikely. Even if you had any charm aside from your powers, it’s useless if the essential part doesn’t work… Guhehe.)
