Returned from Another World, Earth Turned Out to Be Quite the Fantasy Too. Also, Losing Heroines, Stop Looking This Way. - Chapter 33
Chapter 33: “Isn’t the Name Confusing?” ①
Natsuki caught the incoming punch with his right hand.
“Whoa, that’s some serious brute strength!”
Though he wasn’t damaged, the momentum of the self-proclaimed Lucifer was unstoppable.
“Calling someone stupid is actually more stupid!”
With a child-like yell, Natsuki was lifted off the ground.
“An opening! Take this!!!”
Launching forward with her fist still extended, she fluttered her pure white wings.
Natsuki’s body hit the wall behind him, breaking through it.
“Ouch!”
“Not done yet!”
Breaking through two, then three walls, Lucifer launched her other fist, thinking she had an advantage.
Natsuki, with only minor back pain, deflected her punch with his arm, then delivered a powerful blow to her midsection.
“Owe!”
As Natsuki had done before, Lucifer was now blasted through the hole in the wall.
“Wow, that was a surprise. I was caught off guard by the overload of information, but this is it? If you’re going to call yourself Lucifer, I was hoping for some ridiculously strong display. Oh, not sure if you can hear me, but I believe in gender equality, so just a heads up!”
With a kick off the floor, Natsuki vanished.
The next instant, he appeared in front of Lucifer, who had hit the wall at the end of the corridor and was off-balance, and delivered a merciless kick to her abdomen.
Bending like a bow, Lucifer received another kick, breaking the wall behind her along with her.
However, Natsuki didn’t blow her away. Thinking it a hassle to destroy buildings while moving, he grabbed her by the collar of her jumper, and then, with a thunderous roar, pummeled her with several electrified punches.
Feeling the sensation of crushing internal organs and breaking bones, Natsuki felt a slight discomfort, so he let go and kicked her forcefully overhead.
She spat blood as she collided with the ceiling, piercing through it to the roof, creating a neat hole.
Natsuki followed up by leaping up, extending his legs over Lucifer, who was trying to balance herself with half-conscious wings. He swung his foot down hard.
His heel crushed the base of her wings, kicking her down towards the ground.
Lucifer crashed through the rooftop’s concrete, breaking through the still intact floors of each level as she fell to the first floor.
“Well, guess that’s about it? I don’t fully understand, but since she attacked first, I had to show I’m on top. Anyway, Lucifer, huh… She was stronger than the Four Heavenly Kings, so I didn’t hold back. But if angels or demons are only this strong, I’d laugh.”
Landing in an unbroken area, Natsuki noticed a Grey-type alien peering out of the large hole.
(—It’s kind of scary to see an alien peeking from directly below!)
“Natsuki, are you okay!?”
“Oh, yeah. Something unexpected happened, but I’m handling it. Get out of the building! Some police associates I know might come, so it’s okay to ask for help!”
“Is it really safe? Not everyone might be as friendly as Natsuki upon seeing us.”
“I asked for help from someone I trust, so it’s all good. Oh, by the way, are aliens like gods?”
“…What do you mean? We are simply ourselves, not beings known as gods.”
“…Damn, sunglasses guy. That’s totally different. I should’ve just asked since we can communicate… Well, even if I did, he probably wouldn’t have believed it.”
He felt like a cup of tea would have easily resolved the sunglasses man’s doubts.
But if they had such flexible thinking, they wouldn’t have attempted or allowed dissections in the first place.
“By the way, what is Natsuki fighting now?”
“It’s different from the one who caught Nancy, but I want to find out, so I’ll go and press them for answers! Anyway, the building might collapse, so get out quickly!”
“Understood! Be careful, Natsuki!”
“Yeah!”
Natsuki leapt from the roof to the first floor, touching base with Jack on the way down.
He landed and started searching for Lucifer.
Soon enough, he found her.
“…Kuh. Damn you, how dare you, a mere demon, do as you please with someone as noble as me!”
Lucifer, her mouth smeared with blood and her clothes stained, was standing in the corridor, breathing heavily.
She was leaning against the wall, apparently still damaged, but she was standing. It seemed like she had healed the bones Natsuki had broken and the internal organs he had crushed.
“I’m not a demon, you know?”
“How can you lie like that! To possess such incredible magical power and then deny it!”
“Is magic power a demon thing? Then what about your spiritual power, or whatever it is?”
“It’s divine power! Do you not even know that!”
“Uh, just to clarify, what’s your relation to aliens?”
At Natsuki’s question, Lucifer tilted her head greatly, then scoffed.
“Are you an idiot! There’s no way aliens exist!”
“Seriously? The mystery only deepens! Well, I don’t really care, though!”
After a rough battle with Lucifer, there’s no doubt about her strength.
Natsuki hasn’t gone all out yet, and it seems neither has she.
If Lucifer is indeed of the divine race, she must have some aces up her sleeve.
(I think anyone else would’ve been minced meat with that first hit—oh, something’s coming!)
Lucifer’s power was growing immensely, far surpassing anything seen before.
“Hey, I don’t know your position, but is it really okay for you to use that kind of power so casually?”
“Hmph. I care not for human conventions! Besides, my power is too great for those insignificant humans to even notice.”
“So, you’re looking to settle the score with me?”
“Of course! I will annihilate the demons! I’ll make you pay for beating me up, and I’m the most respected in the Lucifer family for my capabilities!”
Clearly enraged, Lucifer’s right hand generated a spear of light.
Natsuki revised his assessment of her strength.
He had thought her to be at the level of the Four Heavenly Kings, but she possessed a power close to that of a Demon Lord.
Of course, she still wasn’t a threat to Natsuki.
“Just to let you know, releasing that might be a bad idea.”
“Like I caaaaareeeeee, you idiotttttttttttttttt!”
Lucifer, infusing the spear of light with all her divine power, hurled it at Natsuki.
The spear of light bore down in a straight line, and if it hit directly, even Natsuki might die.
“You can boast in the afterlife about making me draw this sword!”
Natsuki pulled a pitch-black sword from his item box.
Gripping the sword in his right hand, he casually swept it sideways.
“―The Dark Blade.”
In the next instant, the spear of light was engulfed by the blade of darkness, and Lucifer’s body was cleaved in two.
Furthermore, the building collapsed with a loud noise.
