In the office of the Chief of Mukaijima City Police, Hisashi Aoyama was sipping tea with a bitter expression.

His worries weren’t just about Natsuki and the Minazuki family.

The woman making a carefree face was wearing a pantsuit and had her long hair tied back in a ponytail. She appeared to be around twenty years old.

Her name was Ginko Aoyama, and she was the daughter of Hisashi Aoyama.

Having received the demonic sword from Natsuki, Ginko had immediately started using it, eagerly cutting down demons that harmed people, almost as if she were testing the sword’s sharpness.

Lately, there seemed to be an increase in demons — particularly of the lustful kind — but for Ginko, this only meant more targets to use her demonic sword on.

“Hey, come back here now. And remember, you have to return that demonic sword, so don’t drool all over it.”

“Huh? Return it? No way. Natsuki-kun said he’d give it to me, so there’s no reason for you to complain, Dad!”

“Handling a demonic sword from another world is a hassle!”

“Not a hassle at all! I might say it myself, but I’m skilled enough to handle it.”

“You’re only good at using a sword, you don’t have any real technique.”

“It’s fine because I’m strong. Well, within the realm of humans, anyway. Compared to me, that kid is really something.”

“Yeah, you’re right.”

He went along with his daughter bringing up Natsuki.

Handling his independent daughter was always a challenge, despite normally treating her as a subordinate at work. 

In reality, she was a problem child that only Hisashi could manage.

“Even you think Natsuki is that dangerous?”

“Let me ask you, Dad, is there anything about that kid that isn’t dangerous?”

“―Right.”

“Exactly.”

“Okay then. You should marry him!”

“What? Have you lost your mind? We’re talking about how dangerous Natsuki is, and now you bring up marriage?”

Hisashi’s suggestion was enough to even perplex his headstrong daughter.

“I’ve been thinking about it for a while. Haruko-san would never choose me.”

“…Well, any sensible person wouldn’t choose a married man. Mom also thinks it’s creepy that you’re after Haruko-san, but luckily, Haruko-san is a person of common sense.”

“Then, I thought I might as well become Natsuki’s father-in-law!”

“You were plotting something like that!?”

“Relax, he’s practically been like a son to me. No problem!”

“Your daughter has a problem with that!”

“…A daughter is just a tool, after all.”

“You just said something even a shady politician wouldn’t say these days!”

Unbeknownst to Natsuki, a parent-child argument had begun.
