Reincarnated In A Novel As A Pathetic Side Character - 06 Scammy Bitch!

Stomp… stomp…
As the moonlight filtered through the hallway, a figure in a maid’s outfit walked.
The gentle breeze made her long black hair sway as she continued to move back and forth.
Knock~
The figure tapped on a large door, the entrance to what appeared to be an important office.
“Come in,” commanded a rough and authoritative voice from within, granting permission for the figure to enter.
Creak~
As the door swung open, the figure stepped inside, immediately bowing their head in deference to the man seated behind a grand desk.
An aura of superiority emanated from him, creating an almost suffocating atmosphere.
He seemed to be in his forties, with a well-groomed beard and a physique that displayed his well-defined muscles. The medieval-style coat he wore complemented his striking red eyes.
He shifted his attention away from the document in front of him, fixing his crimson gaze on the figure.
He glanced at the figure for a few seconds before asking, “Did something change? Or is he the same?”
The figure was none other than Elisha, who had come to his office to inform him about Zephyr’s behaviour.
“Lord Vincent, Young Master has changed.”
“Hmm…?” Vincent raised an eyebrow in surprise. He hadn’t expected any significant changes in his youngest son, Zephyr.
“Umm… And what’s so?”
“The Young Master’s eyes… They are no longer gloomy and depressed. Now, they seem to have found their purpose,” Elisha explained. “Young Master also defeated Master Ron in a duel.”
“Huh…?”
Even though his expression didn’t change much, Vincent was surprised to hear his youngest defeated the fourth.
He gestured for Elisha to leave as he turned his chair.
‘Zephyr? That little weak boy defeated an Aura Disciple when he didn’t even have Aura?’
The corner of Vincent’s lips curled up, revealing a sharp grin as he looked outside the window, gazing at the bright moon.
“Interesting?”

Early in the morning, I woke up and was now being dressed up by Elisha.
At first, I felt a little uncomfortable with the idea of someone else dressing me, but Elisha insisted, and I eventually gave in.
‘Well, it is normal in this world.’
Elisha was very attentive, carefully buttoning up my shirt and then adjusting my collar.
As she leaned closer, her pretty face made me a bit flustered. I couldn’t help but notice her sweet cherry scent.
“Hhff~”
Her warm breath tickled my neck as she fixed my collar, and I had to suppress a slight blush from forming on my cheeks.
Elisha seemed entirely focused on her task, not noticing my momentary flustered state.
“All done, Young Master,” she said, stepping back to admire her work with a satisfied smile.
“You look quite handsome, Young Master,” she complimented with a smile.
“Thank you, Elisha,” I replied, trying to sound composed, though my heart was still racing a bit.
I took a step back and sat on the bed, letting out a big yawn and pondering what I should do next.

“W… what?”
I blinked in surprise as I looked at the status window. Overnight, my fate points had significantly increased.
‘Does sleeping count as well?’
As I pondered the reason for my fate coins increasing, the door of my room suddenly flung open.
“Do people in this world… like to barge inside other people’s rooms?”
The same cliché thing happened yesterday and now it happened again?
‘Did Ron come to get his revenge?’
As I looked at the door, I saw a beautiful red-haired girl standing.
She looked at me with her light red eyes, scanning me from head to toe before she continued to talk.
“You should be grateful that I took out some of my vacation time to come and help you,” she said, all puffed up.
“Who is she?”
I asked Elisha as I could not remember a character with red hair who was familiar with Zephyr.
“…Huh? She is Clara, the first daughter of the Silverwood merchant family.”
Although Elisha was startled, she quickly composed herself and answered me.
My eyes widened in shock after knowing her identity, but they quickly changed after remembering what she did to Zephyr in the story.
She was from one of the ten great families that helped the empire win the war against the demons.
The Silverwood family was medical-based. Their main business was selling elixirs, health potions, etc…
And the reason why she was here was probably for some expired medicine for Zephyr.
After Aria, his girlfriend, dumped him, Zephyr wanted to become strong and get her back from Kaesar, but his body was too weak to make his dream come true.
And so he started buying potions and elixirs from Clara to become strong, but unknown to him, Clara was giving him expired products at a way higher price than the market.
He almost died due to the medicine.
“As your good friend, I snuck out this rare strength elixir. It was quite difficult for me but as my good friend, I’ll let you have it for just 500 gold coins.”
‘500 gold coins!!?’
100 gold coins were more than enough for a normal family to live in luxury for their entire life and still have money for the next seven generations to live comfortably.
And this girl’s saying ‘Just’ 500 gold coins?
As Clara showed me the elixir, I examined it carefully. It looked quite normal, and I could understand why Zephyr fell for it.
The elixir didn’t seem expired at all, but I wasn’t going to take any chances.
“Can you get me some water, Elisha?” I requested calmly.
Elisha looked a little confused but followed my order and brought some water for me.
Clara’s expression changed to a mix of surprise and concern. “Are you going to put the medicine in the water?”
I nodded, my expression indifferent. “Yes, I want to check if the medicine is expired or not.”
Clara’s worry seemed to escalate. She leaned in, trying to reason with me
. “What? Are you doubting me? Do you think I, Clara Hans Silverwood will cheat you?”
“Yes, definitely,” I muttered under my breath.
“Ok then, doubt me as much as you can, but if the medicine isn’t expired, you’ll have to give me 50,000 gold coins, and not to mention, you’ll lose your only friend.”
Clara tried to be as intimidating as possible, thinking that Zephyr would back off after her warnings.
‘Hehehe… Let’s see if you don’t come, begging me to forgive you.’
She thought that Zephyr would be scared of losing his only friend and would beg for her forgiveness, but to her surprise, Zephyr just replied with a calm, “Okay.”
Without any hesitation, I dipped the golden-colored elixir into the water and observed it closely.
A few moments passed in silence as I carefully watched for any changes in the water or the elixir.
After a while, I raised my head and looked at Clara with a slight smile. “It’s a fake. The medicine has expired.”
Clara’s eyes widened, and she took a step back, trying to hide her shock. She didn’t expect me to see through her deception.
“You… you’re lying!”
I shook my head. “No, I’m not. The water has changed colour slightly, and that’s a clear sign of an expired elixir.”
“H-how dare you try to frame me!”
