Reincarnated Devil’s Strongest Hero Training Plan ~The baby he picked up has grown up so well that his father is confused~
Volume 2 Chapter 20.1 In a certain future world
In a distant future, long after the era of the legendary hero Ars, humanity no longer needed heroes like him. His existence had turned into legend, then myth, and finally, the need for such heroes disappeared in an era of peace.
By then, the concept of heroes had faded, and it became unclear if such individuals ever truly existed. Yet, in this age where myths had become mere idols, a temporary lecturer at a prestigious national academy shared the following:
“Alright, everyone, please open your textbooks to page 34. That’s right, to the section titled ‘The Demon of the Otherworld’ in Chapter 0 of the Holy Book of Human-Demon Relations. Today, we’ll discuss the authenticity of this section, referencing the writings of Sage Fradalia and various historical records. With your promotion exams approaching, it’s time to intensify your studies.”
In this academy, where the noble sons and daughters of the country sought knowledge, the temporary lecturer began explaining the history textbook. As he mentioned its authenticity, he highlighted that by this time, the boundaries between humans and demons had vanished, and the existence of beings like demons was unknown.
In fact, even the term “demihuman” was considered unsuitable to describe people and had disappeared centuries ago. Academically, basic categories like humans, elves, dwarves, demons, and many other classifications had been established centuries ago, but they were fundamentally considered as “citizens of XX country,” thus grouped together as humanity.
This notion was challenged.
“Huh? Chapter 0 is proven to be a fabrication and embellishment by later historians in the ancient nation of the Calamiera Church? Fabricated by the self-proclaimed long-lived citizens of the Demon Kingdom who claim to know history? No, no, that’s not correct.”
In this era where humans and demons coexisted and mystery had faded, many historians considered deities, angels, and even heroes to be mere fiction. However, the somewhat unconventional lecturer waved his finger and declared, “No, no, no, you’re mistaken.”
“Listen. Geological surveys of the past have provided evidence of the existence of the so-called ‘Demon of the Otherworld.'”
The lecturer explained that remnants of otherworldly magic, different from any known magic of this world, were detected around a crater in a place that was once a pioneer village.
From this massive crater, as if created by a meteorite, relics described in Chapter 0 of the Holy Book of Human-Demon Relations were discovered, including the remains, armor, and bones of holy knights.
“Of course, it’s understandable that the Calamiera Church wouldn’t like this narrative. After all, it depicts their noble holy knights, their ancestors, as committing such transgressions. They’d probably want to erase Chapter 0 entirely. I can’t say I don’t understand their feelings.”
And with a conspicuous air, he added, “Well, it’s none of my concern, though.”
“But acknowledging the existence of this demon has significant academic implications. After all, it pertains to another world. The fact that there are worlds beyond this one would be a groundbreaking revelation for research. Moreover, proving the existence of this demon would mean that the hero Ars—”
And so the lecture continued with various explanations. Despite being a temporary lecturer, he spoke with a level of conviction and presented evidence as if he had personally experienced these events. By the end of the class, which took up the entire allotted time, the students couldn’t help but think, “Maybe it’s true…”
None of the students questioned why this lecturer possessed ancient documents, research findings, and technical knowledge that even historians around the world were unaware of. The lecturer’s skill was such that he didn’t allow room for such doubts.
Despite his seemingly nonchalant attitude, saying things like, “Well, believe it or not, it’s up to you,” the students couldn’t find any grounds to refute his claims. His explanations about the demon from another world were packed with the highest level of contemporary historical knowledge, making it exceedingly clear.
The quality of his lectures was so high that the students felt they could pass their essay-based promotion exams with this knowledge alone.
Thus, the lecturer, who deftly deflected any skepticism while delivering ultra-high-quality lectures, used the remaining class time to delve into the history no one was supposed to know, supported by irrefutable evidence.
“Oh, it’s already this late. Well, that’s it for Mr. Shin Kyu’s class. I hope you all do well in your promotions. Class dismissed.”
And so ended the class of the mysterious black-haired temporary lecturer named Shin Kyu.
As he was leaving, he was heard muttering, “I need to get back soon before the Boss and the Old Man find out I snuck out of training,” and “That little squirt… something about needing to know the truth soon, what a troublesome request.”
Who exactly was this man? Where did he come from? What kind of background did he have?
No one in that era knew the answers to these questions.
