Reincarnated Devil’s Strongest Hero Training Plan ~The baby he picked up has grown up so well that his father is confused~
Chapter 141 The Reincarnated Devil’s plan to train the strongest Hero
Ars, now the Golden Hero, cleaved the ground of the interdimensional space with his sword, shattering part of the barren continent within. Although his father Kakyu narrowly dodged the devastating slash, it’s remarkable that Ars’s physical attack could cause such destruction—enough to break off a piece of land as large as the Australian continent on Earth.
With that attack, roughly half the area of Oahu Island was likely obliterated. While the different environment of the interdimensional space means it doesn’t have the same resilience as the real world, the power behind that single strike was evident.
Kakyu, forced to retreat to the sky by the shockwave of Ars’s all-out opening attack, realized that even he couldn’t afford to take a direct hit from the golden sword without serious consequences.
“Whoa there, Ars! When did you get this strong!? That last move almost got me!”
“Well, when do you think? But I’ve always been chasing after you!”
Kakyu couldn’t help but smile wryly at Ars’s response, which seemed to imply that his father should be able to handle this with ease.
However, having exerted himself too much from the start, Ars, who unleashed the island-shattering strike, was now breathing heavily and trying to regain his composure. It appeared that delivering such a powerful physical attack was taxing even for the hero.
Nonetheless, the fact that Ars demonstrated this power indicated his message to his father: he no longer needed to hold back. Ars understood the purpose behind being drawn into this interdimensional space and realized that merely defeating a holding-back father wouldn’t be enough to prove himself to the world.
Thus, he showcased his full strength from the beginning, declaring his intent to surpass his father, Kakyu, head-on.
“Is that so? I never thought that my son would be so considerate of me…. Well, I’m in a bit of a bind.”
Kakyu was torn between feeling ashamed for making his son go to such lengths and feeling proud of his son’s growth. One thing was clear: the might of the strongest hero, raised by the demon from another world, had reached a level that was now on par with his own.
Feeling a sense of pride, Kakyu let out a soft laugh and prepared his next move. A red-black, ominous aura took the shape of a sword, filling the surroundings with numerous magic swords that seemed to stand in opposition to Ars’s golden sword and shield.
“Don’t die on me, Ars. This time, I’m going all out with no holding back. This isn’t a lesson—this is a fight to take you down.”
“Yes. That’s exactly what I was hoping for… Ah!?”
In that instant, Kakyu vanished, leaving behind several magic swords, taking advantage of Ars’s brief moment of relaxation.
Ars only had a second to realize what was happening: Kakyu had used teleportation to get behind him. The elaborate magic swords were mostly a diversion—a tactic demonstrating Kakyu’s battle-hardened experience.
Despite Ars’s quick reflexes and physical defenses, he couldn’t avoid injury. The magic sword tore through the shield he had kept behind him for emergencies and the armor he wore, stabbing into his side.
“Impressive reaction speed. If this were the old you, you’d be split in half by now.”
“Well, that’s… something…!”
Yet, neither would go down easily. Ars quickly retreated and cast a silent healing spell on himself while delivering a roundhouse kick that sent Kakyu flying.
Even Kakyu couldn’t fully withstand the force of that kick. Despite guarding with his arm, his bones cracked, and a heavy pain surged through his internal organs.
From this exchange, it became clear that while Kakyu had the upper hand in magical prowess, techniques, and tactics, Ars surpassed him in raw physical power, defense, and quick reactions.
Both were engaged in a fierce and evenly matched battle.
For an hour, they fought with all their might, sustaining injuries and healing them before clashing again. Neither intended for a drawn-out battle, pouring everything they had into each encounter.
The once vast continent within the interdimensional space was now half-destroyed, with cracks in reality itself starting to appear in places.
“Unbelievable… I always knew my husband was the strongest, but that evil old man isn’t even backing down. He looks like he still has plenty of fight left,” said Hades.
“Of course. Do not underestimate my husband, Hades. It is inconceivable for him to show weakness in front of our son. More than that, I’m amazed at how much our son has grown,” replied Elsa.
Hades and Elsa, each deeply in love with and confident in their spouses, couldn’t hide their astonishment. They never expected to see such an evenly matched battle against their respective world’s number one.
“It’s amazing… Brother Ars really is the hero who saved the world…”
“It’s terrifying… Just as I thought, we shouldn’t mess with these guys…”
Fradalia, moved by seeing the hero in action for the first time, was jumping up and down with excitement like the five-year-old she was, almost spraining her ankle in the process. Meanwhile, Mermel, realizing just how dangerous these guys really were, was getting scared and feeling the urge to use the bathroom, despite her indeterminate age.
Though the two were opposites in personality, they were similar in that Fradalia, after having her sprained ankle healed by the Saint Isha, was back to her energetic self, while Mermel, reassured by a pat on the head from the magic god, no longer felt scared.
As the spectators watched the battle unfold, the atmosphere between the two fighters, who had been evenly matched until now, finally began to change.
Sensing that their intense battle was causing the space around them to distort, the two seemed ready to deliver their final blows.
“Let’s end this with the next strike, Dad.”
“Huff… Huff… Alright! Bring it on, Ars!! I’ll take you on!!”
Although breathing heavily and covered in wounds, Kakyu spoke with a hint of enjoyment.
Despite being evenly matched in combat power, it seemed Kakyu was slightly outmatched in terms of physical stamina, though he had a vast reservoir of magical power.
Honestly, he was grateful for even this brief moment of rest while they talked. Despite his brave words, he was enduring the pain to maintain his father’s dignity.
But they couldn’t rest forever. As Ars gathered golden light for his final strike, Kakyu raised his hand above his head, forming a sphere of red-black magic.
The immense energy, resembling a black sun, warped the surrounding space and raged with destructive force.
“…Since this might be the last time, let me say this. Ars, you’re incredible. Not just because you have power equal to mine. What’s truly amazing is that your strength comes from growing alongside your comrades, working together, and protecting everyone. That’s something I could never achieve, as I’ve only grown stronger by defeating others. You’ve already surpassed me.”
Whether Ars heard this or not was unclear. But as Kakyu finished speaking with a bright expression, the hero Ars, with a tearful smile, released a golden laser.
The red-black sun and the golden beam clashed.
In the end, the victor was—
“Thank you for everything, Dad.”
—Ars, with his golden beam of light.
◇
Hello, everyone.
This is Kakyu, the most fearsome low-class demon of the Underworld who just got beaten up by his son.
Right now, I’m drifting through the dimensional gap for the first time in over twenty years. Ah, the nostalgia. It makes me realize that it’s been more than twenty years since I came to this world.
Given the circumstances, I might end up drifting to another world again.
Why am I swimming through the dimensional gap, you ask? The answer is simple.
My full-power attack—the black sun capable of obliterating continents in a single strike—was shattered by Ars’ extreme light, which distorted the space and opened a huge hole in the dimension.
Whether it’s good luck or bad luck, I got sucked into the dimensional hole, which allowed me to escape from the world just in time to avoid being hit directly by the golden light.
The main concern I had was dying at that moment, so I’d say my plan succeeded.
Now, the world should recognize that the hero is capable of dealing with someone like me, serving as a sort of vaccine against future threats. One problem solved, I’d say.
The remaining issue is figuring out how to sneak back into that world for Elsa, whom I promised I wouldn’t leave alone.
Returning is actually simple. Thanks to the magic god’s creation of the alternate space, I’ve marked a place in the timeline of the frontier village with my magic.
So if I want to go back, I can just trace that marking. However, whether the world will accept my return is another matter.
Having been expelled once, the world is likely aware of me as a foreign entity and might have strengthened its protections.
Even if I reach the marked spot, there’s a chance I might be blocked from entering due to the world’s protections.
That possibility is a bit concerning.
But, well…
I have a feeling I can manage somehow.
Because, you see…
“Father!!”
“Yeah, as usual, you’re reckless for someone other than yourself, aren’t you? A hero who chases after me into the dimensional gap just to save someone—there can’t be many like you in the whole wide world.”
See, there you have it. There’s no need to worry when there’s a hero here who can muscle through the world’s protections, glide through the dimensional gap on wings of light, and grab my hand.
The reason Ars probably managed to surpass the dimensional barriers maintained by the world is partly due to brute strength, but more importantly, it’s because he’s recognized by the world as a hero.
In other words, the world isn’t restricting the hero’s actions or trying to interfere.
So if he decide to deal with it, even strong protections can be easily passed through with a master key like the hero.
Well, you know, if my son hadn’t come to rescue me this time, I was seriously thinking about pleading with the Earth Dimension’s old man god or something.
After all, even that old man god wouldn’t see me, who raised a hero to save the world in another dimension, as an enemy.
He was originally a gentle being, after all.
But thanks to Ars coming to the rescue as planned this time, everything has been resolved like this.
“Let’s go home, Dad.”
“Yeah, you’re right. We can’t keep Elsa waiting any longer.”
Shall we take a hop to the marking spot?
“But really, it feels surprisingly good to have my son surpass his father.”
“Huh? Did you say something, Dad?”
“Nah, it’s nothing.”
While I’m amazed at Ars playing dumb at odd times, I return to where everyone in that world awaits.
Oh!
Let me make it clear though, even if Ars surpasses me, it’s only in some aspects!
When it comes to the versatility and dexterity of abilities, this Father Kakyu is overwhelming, and I’m not planning to lose in the future!
I didn’t spend two thousand years training in hell for nothing; that’s my domain.
Alright, when I get back, I’ll have a child with Elsa, and this time, I’ll make them a magical genius or something really amazing alchemist!
I’ll make sure of it, you hear me!
