Reincarnated Devil’s Strongest Hero Training Plan ~The baby he picked up has grown up so well that his father is confused~
Chapter 110 Heaven
Amidst the vast expanse of a green carpet and the harmonious nature stood a majestic castle.
If I were to describe it in terms of a lower-class demon’s expression, it seemed like a place reminiscent of Valhalla in the Earth dimension, which my spouse and I were visiting.
Our guides were Preanis, who served as the chief angel in this place called Valhalla, or rather, the Celestial Realm, and Chibisuke, who was excitedly reunited with some familiar faces after a long time.
Preanis earnestly tried to show us around the Celestial Realm, but the noise made by Chibisuke, who tagged along, and her friends, whom she seemed to have found, kept interrupting, so we couldn’t make any progress.
Whenever Chibisuke spotted one of her fellow angels, she would wave her hand and high-five them. When she found another comrade, she and the previously high-fived comrade would start an enthusiastic welcome dance together.
What I mean to say is, as more and more angels gathered for the welcome party, the conversation couldn’t proceed at all.
“Yay!”
“Whooo!”
“Check it out!”
“FHOooo!”
A chaotic atmosphere had formed where it was now impossible to distinguish what was what.
Whether they were colleagues or something else entirely, a swarm of little ones with wings on their backs gathered, each one raising a strange cry and getting excited.
Oh, and by the way, as I had somewhat expected, it seemed that Chibisuke was one of the angels in this world.
Apparently, when you came around here, your angelic powers fully recovered, and pure white wings would automatically sprout from your back.
Even though she occasionally sprouted wings in the lower realm, because her original powers were greatly weakened, I had doubted whether she was truly an angel.
But now that her powers had been restored, her strength was considerable. While not quite on the level of the Four Heavenly Kings, she seemed to possess a magical power comparable to that of a senior demon, if not greater.
Hmm.
I don’t want to admit it, but maybe she truly is an elite, not just self-proclaimed. Although she still seems like an immature rookie angel, if she’s already on par with senior demons, I have no idea how great of an angel she might become in the future.
“Hehehe. It seems that Mermel is popular even in the Celestial Realm, husband. The angels who have gathered seem to be having fun as well.”
“I don’t want to admit it, but it seems she’s quite popular…”
Damn!
That Chibisuke, acting like a monkey, is an elite? What’s wrong with the world?!
Her magical power clearly surpasses that of the gathered little angel kids.
This is unbelievable!
“I-I’m sorry, both of you. Mermel is just so happy to be reunited with her friends after such a long time. Could you please wait for just a little while?”
“Yeah, yeah, it’s fine. It’s not like we’re in a hurry or anything. …Besides, you’re the ones guiding us, so I’ll leave the schedule up to you.”
Well, I only came because I was invited, so there’s nothing particularly pressing for me to do. My duplicate body is keeping an eye on Ars in the lower realm, so if need be, I can teleport there with my main body.
So, if asked if there’s any problem, I could say that there’s none at all.
If I were to nitpick, though, it would be about the little angels singing and dancing, showing interest in me, climbing up from below, flapping their wings, and sitting on my head.
“This uncle is funny~”
“Such strange magic, right?”
“It’s not pure magic, so is he a demon? Maybe?”
“He’s not human, is he~?”
“But he doesn’t seem like a demon~”
Calm down, calm down. And I’m not an uncle, I’m a big brother.
And don’t pull on my ears while giving you a piggyback ride.
Oh, don’t hang on my belt, my pants are falling off.
I’m not a caretaker at a little kids’ zoo, someone do something about this.
“Oh my… According to the investigation, I heard you have a quite gentle personality… But I didn’t expect all these rookie angels to be so fond of you… I see, it’s how you properly raise heroes. I understand a bit now.”
I don’t really want to be understood in this situation…
But I guess it’s better than being mistrusted, so I’ll just accept it.
And so, with the welcoming committee of little kids who simply wouldn’t leave my side, I was guided through the Celestial Realm. Eventually, we arrived at the majestic castle that had been asserting its presence from afar, likely where the Goddess of Creation reigns.
As expected of the abode of the gods, the atmosphere here is intense. Even the unknown angel serving as a gatekeeper would likely be a more formidable presence than Preanis, the chief angel.
Well, this might be because Preanis isn’t really the combat type, but even so, there are multiple divine presences emanating from within the castle.
From lesser gods to greater ones, there’s probably a variety, but even the lowest-ranking god would likely be on par with the demon lord, whom I’ve crossed paths with in the past, in terms of sheer magical power.
Of course, this is just based on the pressure of their magical energy, purely a matter of raw power. Their skill level is likely even higher.
And when it comes to greater gods, their power knows no bounds. Even I might sustain more than just superficial injuries if faced with multiple of them. Can’t let my guard down.
“I see, so this is the abode of the gods in this world. Quite impressive.”
“B-b-b-but, husband! Wh-what should I…?”
Oh, even Elsa, who always maintains her composure without flinching when dealing with royalty and nobility in the lower realm, seems greatly perturbed here. It’s quite rare to see such an expression from her. I’ll make sure to remember it.
“Don’t worry, everything will be fine. Look, this is undoubtedly the castle of the gods, right? I don’t think they have the kind of personality to scold guests over trivial matters of etiquette, especially ones they’ve invited themselves.”
“I-I suppose so…?”
While I’ve heard some of the details of the discussion from the Chief Angel Preanis, it’s understandable that Elsa Mama, who doesn’t know them, would be confused. But as for me, a demon, and especially considering that fundamentally, the gods are allies of humans, they shouldn’t have any complaints about dealing with someone from their own created world.
Knowing this, it seems that the Chief Angel has approved Elsa’s accompaniment, so there’s nothing to worry about. Making that judgment, I confidently entered the castle. Inside, a lesser angel who had known of our arrival in advance guided us to the audience chamber, where we finally met the Goddess of Creation, our client.
There, seated in the audience chamber with her long, deep green hair flowing down to her back, was the beautiful Goddess of Creation, towering at about fifteen meters, smiling.
There were also some slightly smaller gods, around ten meters tall, and others with a presence more akin to lesser gods, not much different in size from humans. But overall, it seemed like most gods were quite large.
They might be limiting their scale compared to those in the lower realms, but even so, they’re too big. The last survivor of the group of little angels, Mermel, who had somehow disbanded by the time we entered the castle, seemed like a whale compared to these beings in terms of scale.
“Wow, they’re huge!”
“Husband, it’s disrespectful to speak like that in front of the Goddess of Creation…”
Elsa Mama whispered this to me discreetly. She seems to be constantly nervous, but it seems her mental state has recovered enough to regain some composure.
…Well, her knees are still trembling.
But then again, their size is a fact, so it can’t be helped. I mean, fifteen meters in humanoid form? Even if they’re scaled down compared to the lower realms, how big are they originally?
Anyway, regardless of that…
“Thank you for coming, demon lord from the other realm.”
As the Goddess of Creation spoke from above, her expression contained both a smile and a gaze that seemed to test me, projected into my devilish eyes.
To think that right from the start, the Creation Goddess would challenge me with a mental duel, shows some guts, I must say.
I understand why she resorted to such means, but I can’t say I’m pleased.
It seems that Preanis and Elsa haven’t noticed the Goddess’s movements, but I see this as a challenge directed at me.
However, what’s with Chibisuke, standing there surprised? What exactly is she? Could it be that she’s the only one who noticed the Goddess’s deception? She’s surprisingly sharp, that one…
Nevertheless, after the Demon King, it’s the Demon God next. Quite a lovely welcome, isn’t it, Goddess of Creation?
Did she really think I wouldn’t notice her actions?
