Reincarnated as the Villain Who Experiments on Orphanage Kids – Why Are the Test Subject Girls Begging Me for "Night Experiments"? - Chapter 27
Chapter 27: The Test Subject Girl Keeps Begging to Do Experiments
The orphanage morning starts early.
The kids were still sleeping when we got to work cleaning up the yard.
Actually, we had no choice but to clean it up.
Jimbara went wild and pretty much wrecked the whole place. So we pulled an all-nighter fixing it.
“Master, can we move this too?”
“Yeah. Leave it to me.”
“Hey Sai, why is there a skewer shop sign here?”
“Probably blew over in the wind? Just stack it in the back for now.”
“Got it.”
Fioraia carried the sign on her shoulder while Rafal quietly picked up broken pieces without saying a word.
After that huge fight, they kept working without showing any tiredness at all. I honestly thought it was amazing.
They must have trained really hard where I couldn’t see. It was the result of all that effort.
“Alright!”
Seeing them fired me up, so I picked up the pace even more.
“Master, what about the plant pots?”
“Put them all in this ball and take them to the trash spot.”
“Okay!”
“Hey Sai, a uniform fell over here?”
“Ah, stack that in the back too for now.”
“Got it!”
“Lord Sai, the experiment prep is ready.”
“Yeah. Just put the experiment stuff over there… huh?”
I was handling their questions one after another when Priere’s words hit me wrong.
“Experiment?”
“Yes. An experiment.”
Priere smiled sweetly.
“Where did you even find that kind of junk?”
“This orphanage is a treasure chest of experiments. You could even say the whole orphanage is one big test site.”
“No, you really can’t say that.”
Don’t just decide to turn someone else’s orphanage into a lab. This place is not that sketchy.
“Just forget the experiment for now and help with the work, okay?”
“I became sure after the fight earlier.”
Priere ignored my words with a huge smile and stepped forward.
“We can still get stronger.”
“……”
“But this isn’t enough. No matter how much we train ourselves, I don’t think we can beat monsters like that last enemy.”
“Yeah… you might be right about that.”
“Like I thought, we need something on the level of the Holy Sword, Evil Sword, or the God Sealing Orb that Lord Sai has. So…”
Priere grabbed my right arm and looked up at me with sparkling eyes.
“–I want quick human experiments!”
“……Ah, yeah.”
“I realized again during this fight how much we need experiments. The body really should be tinkered with.”
“You probably shouldn’t tinker with it.”
“No. This is a necessary type of human experiment.”
“Does that even exist!”
I wondered how Priere ended up as such an experiment-loving kid. It really puzzled me.
“Master.”
But it turned out she wasn’t the only experiment-loving kid.
Before I knew it, Rafal had come right up beside me and grabbed my left arm.
She looked up at me with those puppy eyes.
“Do experiments on me too.”
“Uh, that’s…”
While I hesitated, Fioraia came back from the back door.
She saw what was going on, crossed her arms right in front of me, and said,
“Hmph, I don’t really get it, but do experiments on me too!”
“How did you even know?”
“Hmph, isn’t it obvious? Priere’s probably begging for experiments again. Seriously, I can’t take it.”
“Fioraia?”
“Eek– I’d rather Sai do experiments on me than let Priere do them. So experiment on me!”
“Huh? Priere doing experiments?”
“Anyway, we need experiments!”
Priere said it strongly and started pulling me along.
The other two followed her lead and pulled me too.
“Lord Sai!”
“Master!”
“Sai!”
The three of them surrounded me and begged for experiments.
Their eyes were serious. They probably really wanted to get stronger.
“…Sigh.”
I let out a sigh without thinking.
Right then the sun started to rise, and their figures glowed orange.
The sky was super clear, and I could hear birds chirping from far away. It was a peaceful morning.
It should have been…
“Please do the experiment!”
“Do the experiment!”
“Do the experiment!”
Why did this orphanage have such dangerous words flying around?
Something was seriously wrong here.
“Sigh… just one time, okay?”
“Of course! I’ll offer you my first time!”
When I gave in and said it, Priere smiled happily.
She pulled me toward the test site while making this announcement.
“Then let’s start the first experiment!”

[Side: ???]
“Boss, I have a report.”
In the dark room, the intelligence squad guy stayed on his knees and spoke.
“The operation failed. We missed the princess, Jimbara is missing, and most of the monsters we prepared got wiped out by the city guards and adventurers.”
“You’ve got to be kidding!”
After blowing up, the man called Boss muttered with a weird look.
“Jimbara got taken down?”
“Yes. After he turned into a monster with that drug, he disappeared.”
“Disappeared? That drug wasn’t supposed to do that.”
“Other intelligence reports say Jimbara fought several people after turning into a monster. But the moment he touched a ball-like thing the enemy threw, he vanished.”
“Are you messing with me?”
“It’s all true.”
Even while almost getting kicked by that low growl, the intelligence guy kept going.
“It was probably because of the weapon the enemy used.”
“That kind of thing can’t exist in this world!”
Boss shouted.
“But multiple people gave the same testimony.”
“Impossible. If something like that existed, the church wouldn’t stay quiet. They crush anything that could shake the Holy Sword faith.”
“But… it’s all true.”
“……”
Silence filled the room.
After a while, the man slowly spoke.
“So, who did it?”
“Yes. It was a man dressed like a ramen shop worker.”
“…You.”
The second the intelligence guy said “ramen,” the air around them twisted a little.
“Are you making fun of me?”
“No. It’s all true.”
There was no doubt in his eyes.
“…Continue.”
“That person seems to work at a ramen shop in town. From our check, he looks like a former researcher who belonged to the academy.”
“…Hmm. Name?”
“Mad Sai Scientist.”
“……”
Silence again.
“What the hell is that stupid name?”
“It’s all true.”
“Our plan got crushed by some guy with a dumb name like that? It’s hard to believe, but…”
The corners of Boss’s mouth lifted a bit.
“But it’s interesting.”
“…Huh?”
“A ball that captured a monster version of Jimbara. If something like that really exists…”
He stood up slowly. While looking out the window, the man said,
“One of the world’s basic rules is going to break.”
–Big changes are coming to this country soon.
These guys, and the organization called Rebellion itself, were part of it.
“Capture that ramen shop guy alive.”
“Yes!”
After giving the short order, Boss stared into the distance.
While watching the sunrise, he muttered in a low voice.
“Mad Sai Scientist… huh. Will he be our trump card? Or…”
“–Will he become the foreign object we have to erase first?”
Either way, he would decide their future fate.
The man thought that while the sunrise lit him up in orange light.
