Volume 01: Character Introduction
Cerios von Egrid
Age: 16
Status: Marquis of the Frontier, Reincarnated Individual, Main Protagonist
Personality:
A hardworking individual who desperately tries to avoid being condemned as a villain. Over time, he develops a strong sense of guilt for his past mistakes and dedicates himself to reforming his territory and improving the lives of its people. Although kind-hearted, he lacks self-confidence and tends to be quite oblivious.
Traits:
Cerios is a reincarnated individual who knows that this world is based on an otome game. In his previous life, he lost his parents, which allows him to deeply understand the loneliness that Cerios feels.
Originally born into the royal family, he was disinherited due to past failures and taken in as an adopted son by the Egrid marquisate. However, tragedy struck again when his adoptive parents died in an accident, leaving him even more isolated and burdened with responsibilities.
Relationships:
For the first time in his life, he begins to feel romantic attraction toward Maria. Even if Liese, the game’s main heroine, ends up with one of the love interests, he is determined to support Maria for the rest of her life.
Cerios always thought that Liese, as the main heroine of the otome game, was never meant to be with him. Because of this belief, he remained oblivious to her feelings and failed to recognize his own hidden emotions for her. Due to his oblivious and awkward nature, he struggles to express his feelings properly.
Liese

Status: Cerios’s Attendant, Commoner
Personality:
Serious and hardworking, Liese carries the teachings of her mother, Maria, close to her heart. She possesses a strong will to face any hardship that comes her way.
Traits:
As a child, she and her mother were saved by Cerios, and in gratitude, she chose to serve him as his attendant. She deeply admires and loves Cerios, the person who recognized her worth.
When Cerios said, “I will buy everything of you with my money,” she made the decision to devote herself entirely to the one person who reached out to her in a world where no one else would.
Relationships:
Liese wholeheartedly trusts and loves Cerios. She works tirelessly every day to support him in any way she can.
Faina

Status: Cerios’s Personal Maid, Sub-Heroine
Personality:
Quiet, reserved, and deeply devoted. She has a naturally submissive nature and finds fulfillment in serving her master.
Traits:
As Cerios’s personal maid since childhood, Faina has always been by his side, even enduring hardships in the past. Despite those challenges, she feels a sense of joy knowing that Cerios entrusts his emotions to her.
She supports Cerios’s growing affection for Liese while cherishing her own feelings for him, feeling content simply being near him and helping him from the shadows.
Relationships:
Faina admires and cares for Cerios deeply. She understands his feelings and is fully aware of her position, choosing to quietly support him without stepping beyond her role.
Maria
Age: ???
Status: Maid at Cerios’s estate, Liese’s Mother, Cerios’s First Choice
Personality:
Gentle and filled with motherly warmth and kindness, Maria has a soothing presence that brings comfort to those around her.
Traits:
She was once afflicted with a severe illness but was saved by Cerios. Grateful for his kindness, she now works at his estate alongside her daughter, Liese.

Calm, intelligent, and quick-witted. Though her tone and demeanor can be sharp, she has a kind and caring side hidden beneath her tough exterior.
Traits:
Clarice appears as the “villainous noblewoman” in Edward’s storyline. She has known Cerios since childhood and shares a relationship akin to an old friend—or even a mischievous rival.
She is one of the few people who truly understands Cerios’s past struggles and hardships.
Despite being Edward’s fiancée, she harbors complicated feelings about their engagement.

To Cerios, she is a trustworthy friend who supports him while occasionally teasing him along the way.
Edward von Luclair
Age: 16

He has a tendency to become overly fixated on Liese, sometimes losing sight of everything else around him. His jealousy can also get the better of him.
Traits:
As Liese’s primary love interest in the game, Edward struggles with a deep-rooted lack of self-confidence.

He appears calm and intelligent, but in reality, he has a short temper and an inflated sense of self-importance. He tends to act arrogantly, believing himself to be the smartest person in the room.
Traits:
One of Liese’s potential love interests. As the son of the Prime Minister, Raul has been trained in the intricacies of the kingdom’s politics, preparing to inherit his father’s position in the future.
He considers himself Edward’s close friend and takes pride in acting as his advisor.
Relationships:
Raul views Cerios as a rival and obstacle while harboring a strong personal interest in Liese.
Gald Reinhardt
Age: 16
Status: Son of the Supreme Commander of the Military
Personality:
A battle fanatic with a straightforward and passionate personality. He’s hot-blooded, stubborn, and hates losing, always giving his all in everything he does.
Traits:
As one of Liese’s potential love interests, Gald struggles with an inferiority complex toward his older brothers. While he possesses exceptional combat skills, he lacks confidence in himself.
With a father and brothers excelling in military service, Gald is expected to follow in their footsteps, but his lack of strategic thinking often troubles him. Despite his simplicity, he is loyal and values friendship deeply, holding Edward in high regard as a childhood friend.
Relationships:
Gald harbors strong hostility toward Cerios and is deeply infatuated with Liese.
Astarcia Duran
Age: 16
Status: Raul’s Fiancée, Daughter of a Count
Personality:
A strong-willed woman with a determined and assertive nature. She is not afraid to confront Liese directly, expressing her frustration openly and standing her ground.
Traits:
In the otome game, Astarcia appears as the “villainous noblewoman” during Raul’s romance route. She supports Raul as his fiancée but often finds herself frustrated by his arrogance and self-centered behavior.
Relationships:
Initially, she disliked Cerios because of Raul’s animosity toward him. However, after the duel incident, she realized Raul’s feelings for Liese, which pushed her frustration to its peak.
Despite her frustration, she has started to see Cerios from a more neutral perspective and even respects some of his actions.
Mireille Grantz

She admired Gald for his strength in battle and found his straightforwardness endearing. However, when Gald’s affections turned toward Liese, she couldn’t help but feel heartbroken.
