Reincarnated as a Dungeon Master, I Became Unstoppable by Doting on My Monsters—My Gorgeous Monsters Have Started to Conquer the World on Their Own! - Chapter 2: Creating G-Rank Monsters
After waking up from a night’s sleep, I had some free time, so I decided to mess around with the Core. I have a lonely year ahead, so I want something that will keep me entertained for as long as possible. The initial DP (Dungeon Points) I was given is 50, and I need to think of how to use it to stay entertained for a long time.
Dungeon design mainly involves extending hallways and arranging rooms. There are also various layouts like natural landscapes such as volcanoes and forests and architectural structures like mansions and factories. However, I don’t have enough DP to keep swapping, and even if the scenery is good, I’ll get bored in a year.
Since I won’t be fighting, I don’t need traps and probably won’t need to enhance myself. That leaves creating items or creating monsters. A quick look at Item Create showed that they are mainly for combat or books about this other world. Books interest me, but I plan to die, so studying this world seems pointless. Therefore, I only exchanged 2DP for a bed, which is surprisingly comfortable. Dungeon Masters don’t need to eat or sleep, so it’s problematic.
Naturally, being used to modern entertainment, lying on a bed won’t kill a year for me. So, to fill the void of loneliness, I guess the answer is animals… pets. With that thought, I poured most of my remaining DP into Monster Create.
Monsters exist from G-Rank to A-Rank and are categorized into 13 races: Undead, Insect, and Aquatic. With my current status, I can create about two species of G-Rank monsters from each race.
However, the Core doesn’t have a preview screen, so I can’t check which monsters are cute in advance. Therefore, I decided to summon one from each race.
Each one costs 3P, making it 39P for 13 types. Angel, Demon, and Devil species require 4P, so 42P in total. Subtracting the bed leaves me with 6P. My spending was quite extravagant, but I will die anyway, and it’s not like I can take DP to the afterlife.
When I tried to create a monster, there was a character design entry field for each beast. I took advantage of this and wrote quite elaborate descriptions. My first goal was to consume time, but simultaneously, it was to eliminate my lingering attachments.
Character design. This is likely why Goddess Navalbi invited me here. I thought there might be a possibility that she wanted me to create an ideal lover. I once studied creative writing, thinking I might fall in love with 2D. So, I paid particular attention to the description of the girls. This might be my chance to put that effort to use.
Thinking this could be my last chance to fall in love and die happily, I went all out in the character and appearance settings. I wrote down all the traits of a type I had never encountered, scenes from previous stories I liked, and ideals I wished existed.
Half-buzzed, I spent considerable time writing out the first monster, an undead named Crowley Hand. It must have taken about three hours or so.
After finishing, a sense of emptiness hit me. “What’s the point of reproducing sadness?” I thought. How would this monster feel if it realized its personality was programmed? I knew the answer: despair.
At the peak of my hormonal 16-year-old phase, there was a time when I couldn’t understand love, and I seriously questioned whether I was some high-functioning android. I shouldn’t be laying such heavy settings on anyone else.
So, I added a sentence to the overflowing character setting column: “Knows what they want to do. Knows when they don’t want to do something. Can decide what they like and dislike, and it’s okay if that changes.”
“And may you find love, whether that love is human or monster. May your love be something you find without interference from anyone or your programming.”
The last part sounded like a wish, but it felt more fitting than making an assertion. I hoped the monsters I summoned would also be free to love as they pleased.
I placed my hand on the Core and pressed the summon button, and to my surprise, a chant floated into my mind. Wait, do I have to chant every time I summon? With a mix of embarrassment and anticipation for this otherworldly phenomenon, my cheeks heated up.
Carefully, I matched my hands with the Core to avoid messing it up. “The star is a friend. The moon gives birth to itself, maintaining time. Beyond the reed-covered ground. Under the protection of the pregnant cow Gemesin. Kishugal Beelit. Summon. Crowley Hand.”
A faint bluish light appeared inside the Core. Feeling the heat transmitted from the Core, I continued the chant.
“My name is Sozuki Yuuto! That name is Hazel Peepsiana! Come, Hazel!”
In the end, I got a bit carried away and ad-libbed. When I declared it, the Core shone brighter than ever. The light trapped inside the Core was released externally for the first time. The brightness forced me to recoil and avert my eyes.
Not wanting to miss the moment of the summon, I looked back to find that the Core had returned to its usual state, and there was nothing beside it.
I thought I’d failed, but sensing the situation, I looked down. My gaze fell to the ground between the Core and me. Yes, given its G-rank, the summoned monster was tiny.
Small things are generally cute, so it should be ideal as a pet. However, upon seeing the summoned monster, I froze. Even though I should have been able to imagine its appearance from the monster’s name, “Crowley Hand.”
On the ground was a woman’s hand, as if just severed. The elongated fingertips and the length of the fingers were all too familiar; it was a woman’s hand through and through. But its bleached whiteness stood out, emphasizing its unreality.
Honestly, anyone with no tolerance for horror might have fainted by now.
The wrist wasn’t moving. Whether awaiting instructions or that was its nature, it looked like nothing more than a highly well-crafted mannequin’s hand.
I squatted down, like an owner meeting a dog’s gaze, and picked up the fallen hand—Hazel—and gripped it.
Her fingertips curled around my hand with a faint sense of strength. It felt like the primitive reflexes of a newborn, and the realization that I had created life from scratch began to dawn on me. Although she is an undead monster, she’s probably already dead.
If all her organs are human-like, Hazel, who lacks a brain, is likely in a state where she reflexively grips what she touches. So, strictly speaking, I don’t know if she recognizes me. However, since we effectively shook hands, I consider this first contact a success.
It was then that I finally felt it. What I had done was different from mere creative activities. I had brought life into existence.
“Uh, nice to meet you.”
I don’t know if she can understand words or even if she has a sense of hearing or sight, for that matter. Even so, I tried to speak as amiably as possible.
“If you understand my words, please grip my hand three times.”
A few seconds later, I only felt the sudden loss of strength from the hand. It seems like she doesn’t understand my words.
“Uh, your name is Hazel. Hazel Peepsiana. Nice to meet you.”
I felt the gripped hand twitch slightly. Or I thought it did.
I felt the dead-cold grip, which seemed to suck my warmth. I tell myself not to mind it and lift Hazel, who has no eyes, to face her directly.
Upon closer examination, the hand was well-formed enough to serve as a model for prosthetics.
While feeling idle as Hazel wasn’t moving, I noticed a new information panel added to the Core.

Ah, I like seeing such status boards.
Driven by curiosity about the stats and the fun of thinking about settings, I proceeded as planned and spawned thirteen monsters in succession. The last sentence for all of them was a text wishing for free love.
And I would soon come to regret that short-sightedness.

Aw its heart warming how he wants also the monsters to find love and be free
