- Please Don’t Let the Woman in Front of Me Cry - My Yandere Subordinate and the Three Idiotic Magical Girls Should Stay Out of My Way
- Chapter 26/27 - A Familiar Person/Akkun
A gentle breeze was blowing.
Boss, basking in the gentle sunlight, gazed at the sky, a delicate gradient of white and black.
A profound sense of nostalgia engulfed Boss.
Next to Boss stood a young girl.
Before Boss realized it, they had become the same height as the girl.
The girl turned towards Boss, smiled sadly, and said something.
Boss couldn’t hear what was said, merely nodding in response.
The two played in a meadow.
The hill blanketed with white flowers, felt incredibly soft and wonderful underfoot.
There were two such hills.
Feeling like they were bouncing on rubber balls, they played together.
Though no words were exchanged, they shared a deeply nostalgic and joyous time that flew swiftly.
After a while, Boss noticed the hill gradually tilting.
Suddenly, the hill seemed about to flip over.
It was too late by the time Boss felt danger.
Upon hurriedly checking, the girl was nowhere to be seen.
Crushed by the soft hill, enveloped in a comforting scent, yet struggling terribly.
Boss struggled. Despite numerous attempts, escape was impossible.
Something was wrong. It felt like something was pressing down on the back of the head.
What’s happening?
Boss questioned the surroundings.
Then, realization dawned.
Here, Boss understood they were in a dream.
Upon opening their eyes, Boss found themselves in complete darkness, struggling to breathe.
The situation was alarming, but enlightenment came the next moment.
The subordinate was tightly embracing the boss.
Somehow managing to free their nose and mouth, Boss gasped for air.
Subordinate appeared still lost in a dream.
Breathing in oxygen, Boss’s brain and senses gradually awakened.
Feeling Subordinate’s chest against their face, Boss tried to calm down.
Before long, Boss recalled the dream they had just seen.
So that’s what the hill was about… Boss muttered with a wry smile.
Then, thoughts drifted to the girl from the dream.
There was something familiar about the girl they had played with on the hill.
However, Boss couldn’t quite remember.
Boss contemplated slowly recalling the girl.
First, they needed to escape from the sleeping Subordinate.
Trying to push Subordinate away with all their might, Boss was met with an unbelievably strong grip in return.
Faced with such unexpected strength from a peaceful sleeping face, Boss quickly gave up on escaping.
Still, Boss pondered, who was that girl?
Then, a knock on the door was heard.
◆
Having seen a nostalgic dream, Boss was immobilized and embraced by the sleeping Subordinate.
Amid this situation, Boss pondered over the girl they played in the dream.
Then, a knock sounded from the door.
Feeling panicked, Boss thought, “This is bad.”
Just as they intended to say, “Don’t come in,” Subordinate embraced them with tremendous force.
Surprised by the strength, Boss glanced up to see Subordinate’s face, groggy from sleep but quickly grasping the situation.
The boss tried to mumble something from within the Subordinate’s chest, but their voice failed to reach the person knocking.
“Boss, I’ve brought the hostage…”
After knocking and hearing a muffled response, a man in black, thinking it safe to enter, was taken aback by the shocking scene.
Witnessing Boss and their colleague intensely entangled on the sofa, the man in black, realizing the situation, quickly placed the hostage in the room, shouted an apology, and dashed off.
Once the man in black had left, Subordinate released Boss.
“…You’ve done it now.”
The boss said, resigned.
“Please take responsibility.”
Subordinate whispered in Boss’s ear with a grin.
An onlooker, still not fully grasping the situation, was present in the room.
“Um…”
At that voice, Boss finally turned to look.
The hostage had the face of the girl from the dream grown up.
Boss’s mouth fell open in astonishment.
“You’re the girl from my dream. We played together on the… hill!”
Excited, Boss pointed at the hostage while speaking.
“The hill?”
The hostage, a woman, tilted her head in confusion while the Subordinate looked puzzled.
As if remembering something, the hostage stared intently at Boss’s face.
With a start, the hostage clapped her hands.
“Could it be! Akkun!?”
The hostage asked Boss.
Hearing that nickname, memories flooded back to Boss.
“Ahhhh! The kid who lived nearby! That girl!”
Boss exclaimed as nostalgic memories cascaded back.
The only one left out was Subordinate.
“So, who exactly is this hostage?”
Subordinate, asked Boss, clearly unamused.
Boss and the hostage exchanged glances, showing a bit of embarrassment.
Subordinate felt a twinge of irritation at their demeanor.
Boss, with a gentle smile, said,
“Well, she’s like a childhood friend… I guess?”
Both chuckled sheepishly.
“Oh, is that so?” Subordinate said, tapping their foot impatiently.
“Akkun, you’ve grown so much.”
The childhood friend said, reminiscing.
“Well, it’s been a while since I moved away.”
The boss replied, sharing in the nostalgia as time pleasantly passed.
“What does ‘Akkun’ mean?”
Subordinate asked bluntly.
The childhood friend, smiling, answered,
“Ever since we were kids, he liked playing the villain. So, I gave him the nickname ‘Akkun.'”
Fondly remembering their shared past, the childhood friend was immersed in nostalgia.
“Ah! I remember that!”
Boss joined in with a bright tone.
“Hmm, that’s interesting. ‘Akkun’ is a cute nickname, isn’t it, Akkun?”
Subordinate said coldly, pinching Boss’s side.
The pain helped Boss regain composure, their mind returning to the usual concerns of handling the hostage situation safely.
