- Chapter 19 - Aliens Foresee the Future
The discussion in the room was still ongoing, filled with subordinates, aliens, bipedal robots, and other curious individuals.
“By the way, yes, I can somewhat see into the future,” an alien boasted smugly.
“Wow!” both the subordinate and the boss exclaimed in surprise.
“What does the future hold for us?” the subordinate asked.
“Let me look at your future as well,” the alien offered, closing its eyes.
“Hmm, I see, I see,” it murmured, waving its finger as if tracing the outlines of their destinies.
“Oh, this is quite something,” the alien remarked with satisfaction after envisioning their futures. The subordinate and the boss eagerly squirmed, wanting to hear the outcome.
“Well, I can’t see too far into the future, but from what I can tell, you guys will be okay. Sure, you’ll run into problems here and there, but nothing you can’t handle,” the alien started.
The boss and the subordinate sighed in relief, a gesture that pleased the alien.
“However, there might always be unexpected events. Aiz, in particular, should be cautious,” the alien suddenly warned.
Aiz, caught off guard by the sudden mention, replied with a blank expression, “Me? I am just an android. I wouldn’t think such things could happen.”
Laughing, the alien continued.
“Well, in this world, unexpected things happen. There’s a chance I might not be seeing things correctly, but let’s see what happens.”
Intrigued by the alien’s meaningful words, the Boss asked if it had seen anything else.
“Indeed, perhaps I should also give the Boss a heads-up.”
The alien spoke cheerfully.
“If I were to describe your future in one word, it would be ‘trouble with women.’ No matter how things turn out, you’ll be completely trapped by a woman.”
Faced with an all-too-familiar expression, the Boss could only manage a strained smile.
Then, the Subordinate-sama quickly asked a question.
“Is the woman you’re talking about me?”
The question was so frightening that cold sweat trickled down the Boss’s forehead.
“Well, there’s a possibility it could be Subordinate-sama,” the alien said, grinning as it glanced between the Boss, the Subordinate-sama, and Aiz.
Hearing this, the Subordinate-sama muttered, “Hmm,” already seeing a dark aura enveloping the Boss.
With a radiant smile, the Subordinate-sama glared sharply at the Boss.
“Then, I guess I should dye you black as soon as possible.”
Saying this, the Subordinate-sama hugged the Boss.
“No, wait! Hold on! Alien, say something!” the Boss pleaded desperately.
The alien, laughing uproariously, headed for the door.
“Then, it seems we’re on the way here. How about we leave the two newcomers to explore this hideout, Aiz?”
“Oh, yes! Understood!” Aiz said, stepping outside.
The Boss muttered, “This can’t be happening…”
“Why did you ask those two for help?” the Subordinate-sama asked, looking intently into his eyes.
“No, ha ha ha…” While weakly laughing, the Boss was inwardly dismayed at his excitement and started counting the stains on the ceiling.
