Having blasted the Magical Girl of Light far back, the subordinate glanced at the Boss with a sharp look.

“What’s with you, flirting with the enemy?”

The subordinate spoke to the Boss with a voice filled with hatred.

The Boss, with the help of his subordinate, stood up.

“It was against my will. I did nothing wrong.”

The Boss managed to say, trembling.

“Hmph,” the subordinate said, staring intently at the dust cloud rising before them.

In an instant, chains of light burst from the smoke.

The subordinate reacted quickly. Grabbing the chain of light in a flash, he pulled with all his might.

At the end of the chain was a weight.

“It’s a decoy.” The Magical Girl of Light was already behind him when he realized it.

A flash of light was released towards the subordinate.

“Damn it.” Bracing for damage, the subordinate closed his eyes.

But, no impact came to the subordinate.

Warily, he opened his eyes.

Before the subordinate was the Boss, standing firm to protect him.

“Boss! Why?!”

The subordinate couldn’t help but shout.

“It’s only natural to protect someone important to you.”

The Boss said.

Watching the two, the Magical Girl of Light felt uneasy.

She stared blankly for a while, but then, unable to control herself, she released a flash of light towards the subordinate.

The unaware magic flew past, touching no one’s emotions.

The Boss quickly shielded the subordinate, moving him away from the flash.

The Magical Girl of Light collapsed.

She was out of magical power. The confrontation was resolved.

The Boss quickly assessed the situation and decided to flee. He whispered to the subordinate and signaled Aiz with his eyes.

Leaving the Magical Girl behind, the subordinate and the Boss were caught by Aiz.

The Magical Girl of Light said, “wait,” at that moment.

However, her words did not reach the Boss.

The Boss and his team had already flown far into the sky, disappearing like the wind.

Thus, this battle concluded with the first victory for the three Magical Girls.
