"I Wanna Fondle Them Too" (Oppai Momitai) - V2 Chapter 22
"Please support me on Ko-fi! Thank you!"
Chapter 22
Formation of the Youth Detective League
It was lunchtime in the classroom.
Natsuhiko, Miko, and Kohaku had just finished eating their lunch.
“That’s weird.”
“”What?””
Natsuhiko and Miko couldn’t help but look at each other at Kohaku’s abrupt statement.
“What in the world is weird?”
“Of course it’s Souji.”
The three of them then looked fearfully towards the seat by the window, the seat where Souji currently was sitting.
Fortunately, Souji was asleep. He was wearing earphones and was lying on his desk, breathing heavily.
“What’s so suspicious about Souji?”
Natsuhiko wanted to pile on more questions.
However, he couldn’t, probably because he somehow understood the significance of those words.
Kohaku was suspicious of him when Souji was still in the group having lunch.
When Natsuhiko had told Miko that it was difficult to make Double-Date a reality, Kohaku was looking at him suspiciously.
He remembered the sight of Kohaku eating Miko’s homemade cookies on one elbow, which reminded him of a certain housewife who nibbles on rice crackers while watching TV shows.
[TLN: This could be a reference, probably from Shinchan]
“I don’t care how busy he is, it’s impossible to stay busy all the time.”
“Well, true…”
“You know? Even today’s dads are lounging around on Saturdays and Sundays.”
Aside from the recent downfall of fathers, Natsuhiko and Miko had the desire to have a double date… “at least for once.”
Because, there was still a feeling of hope.
“In my opinion, he must’ve some work to do. I know he’s a pain to deal with, but in the end, it’s he who gives me a hand.”
“You’re right. But what is more important for Izumi than being with Kanade?”
“That’s what I’m thinking… I was thinking about it all through the class, but I couldn’t come up with anything.”
With raised eyebrows, the two thought about it, but couldn’t come up with a straightforward answer.
It must be a difficult question for couples who were in the process of developing their love.
But what about those with a ‘no love necessary’ mentality?
“Could it be a woman?”
“”?””
Natsuhiko and Miko gasped at Kohaku’s unexpected bombshell.
“S-Souji’s in an affair? No, no, no! It’s never going to happen! Right, right?”
“No, no, no! If you deny it with confidence, then it’ll be even more confusing! Natsu’s been with Souji for a long time.”
“No, no, no! I’ve known you longer than I’ve known him, but yeah one of Souji’s selling points is that he’s mysterious! I don’t think he has a dark side like that!”
“Uwaa! You just confirmed that Souji is having an affair! It’s little sparks like this that start wars.”
“You’re the Founder! I mean, the original spark was you, Kohaku, right?”
“”Mmmmmmmmmm…!””
It was not a water fight, but a mud fight. It was unsightly at best.
However, it was no wonder that they were both suspicious of him.
He said he was dating her, but he couldn’t actually have a date with her, and he didn’t tell them what his specific errand was. It was Souji who had been hiding things until now.
“Kanade-Senpai is being cheated on…?”
Kohaku and Natsuhiko turned pale.
But Miko’s face was even paler.
Miko, who has heard about their disturbing conversation, recognized her dear and beloved senior as a victim. Her petite body became even smaller, and her warm body became chill.
Even the easy-going Kohaku seemed to be feeling responsible.
“No, no, no, it’s okay! There’s no way he would cheat on his beautiful girlfriend! You see! He’s such a nice guy who’s sleeping so peacefully. There’s no way he would cheat on her.”
It was when Kohaku guided her gaze like a bus guide, “Please pay attention to Souji on your right.”
“Kya~! I managed to get Izumi-kun’s sleeping face~♪”
“I want it too! Share it in the group chat!”
“It’s really cool, isn’t it? If Japan had a polygamy system, most of the surnames would be Izumi!”
“””I get it~♪”””
The girls who were fans of Souji were taking pictures of his sleeping face, crying and shouting in excitement. It was Souji’s heave-ho!
When Natsuhiko and his friends witnessed such a scene, they thought,
“Even if he doesn’t want to, won’t the other side come to him?” And so on.
Kohaku collapsed.
“I can’t take it anymore…”
“Don’t say that! Miko-chan, be careful!”
Miko, who leaned toward Natsuhiko without power, no longer had the concept of weight.
Natsuhiko was confused about what happened to the two people all of a sudden.
Normally, Souji would be able to give the right advice, but this time, he was unreliable.
The more he looked at the sleeping suspect, the more Natsuhiko thought, “You sleep like a baby, oblivious to people’s presence. And all you’ve done is prep exercises in the gym class.” The more he looked at the suspect, the more irritated he became.
From frustration to a spark.
“Oh, yes! Let’s tail him!”
“”Follow him?””
“Yes! If Souji is having an affair, I’ll do everything I can to stop him! If it’s a proper errand, I’ll do my best to apologize!”
It was a suggestion typical of the pacifist Natsuhiko. If it was a proper errand, he could have just pretended not to know, but he would apologize firmly.
Kohaku, for her friend, and Miko, for her senior.
“Yeah, I know… It’s just weird to keep doubting.”
“And you know what? I also want to know the truth for Kanade Senpai’s sake!”
Once they agreed, their expressions changed from pale to full of determination.
This was the moment when the Youth Detective League was formed.
