"I Wanna Fondle Them Too" (Oppai Momitai) - Chapter 52
"Please support me on Ko-fi! Thank you!"
Chapter 52 Best Friends are Reliable
She was still in the same clothes she was wearing back at her home. She must have run out in a hurry.
Despite it being spring, wearing the same T-shirt and shorts, it was still a bit much for a mid-April evening. Her white skin was paler than usual, and her body was cold.
Natsuhiko knew it wasn’t just the cold that made her shiver…
“Did you fight with your father?”
Miko, who was still in his arms, gave a small nod.
“I’ve been holding back… for a long time, you know? But… when he said, not only about me but also about you, Natsu-kun… mm, I couldn’t take it anymore…”
She was sobbing… but yet she continued…
“I tried to convince him, but he just wouldn’t accept it… I knew I shouldn’t have insisted on changing my school…”
“…”
“He tells me to be mature but then he treats me like a child… That’s not fair…! What am I supposed to do…? I don’t know anymore.”
She was sad, frustrated, and angry. The more jumbled her emotions became, the more muffled her crying face became.
Did he tell her to break up with him, to leave her house, or to transfer back to her old school?
Natsuhiko didn’t know what she was told.
But…
“I couldn’t take it anymore! Because… I love you, Natsu-kun, I love you! Hic…! Uwaaaa!”
The only thing that was clear to him was that Miko loved him.
Natsuhiko sat down with her in front of the door, supporting her as she weeped. He slowly rubbed her back, which had become even smaller than usual.
The only thing he could do right now was console her…
He wanted to say, “Don’t worry.” But those words seemed too irresponsible to be spoken.
There was no way she would be okay when she was in tears because she protected him.
If he was more dependable, she wouldn’t have to be crying out in pain, rather she would be looking forward to their next date with a smile on her face.
Natsuhiko’s tears welled up in his eyes at his immaturity and incompetence.
He told himself, “Just bear it. What am I going to do if I make her more anxious than she already is?”
While enduring the feeling of frustrating helplessness, he desperately thought about what he could do to help.
Of course, he couldn’t come up with a good idea.
He knew that. That’s why he decided to take it one step at a time.
“Mii-chan, stay at our house.”
He turned around in surprise and saw his sister, Nina approaching.
Not as his sister, but as Miko’s best friend.
“Tomorrow is Sunday, Mii-chan. Take it easy. Okay?”
“B-but…”
Having left the house in a frenzy, Miko probably had no idea what to expect. She kept looking at Nina, speechless.
“It’s no bother to the Kasai’s♪ More importantly… I want to hear about what Natsu-nii did during your date.”
No matter the situation, Nina always keeps her calm, and never hesitates.
Nina’s smile was enough to make people feel at ease.
Natsuhiko was no exception to this fact.
“Why are you assuming I’ve done something weird…?”
“Eh~ If you hadn’t done something weird, you wouldn’t have come home with soaked pants, would you?”
“Ugh… Well, that just happened…”
“Don’t tell me you peed your pants because you were so excited on your first date.”
“As if I’d pee myself! I was excited about the date, though!”
When Natsuhiko retorted, Nina pouted and said, “How boring!”
And all of a sudden…
“Mouu… You’re so funny…!”
While in tears, she let out a small chuckle.
Natsuhiko and Nina looked at each other as she giggled. At the same time, a smile broke out on their faces.
He didn’t know if she was aiming for it or if it was just natural. What he could say for sure was that his sister was a great person.
Just as Natsuhiko was getting relaxed, the phone rang from the living room.
It was probably from Miko’s house. Therefore, Natsuhiko stood up to pick it up.
But…
“Don’t worry Natsu-nii, Nina will take care of it.”
“Eh? But…”
“If it’s from Mii-chan’s father, it’ll only be even more complicated if you picked it up.”
“… That’s true…”
” ‘Mii-chan is staying at our house.’ It would be a huge difference if Nina, her best friend, says it instead of her boyfriend, Natsu-nii.”
“…You’re right.”
As a best friend, she had a much better chance of getting permission from her parents to let her stay at their home.
“Then I’ll excuse myself,” said Nina as she ran to the living room, but stopped before picking up the phone.
Natsuhiko immediately looked at the hallway.
Natsuhiko and Nina’s parents were there…
It was obvious that they didn’t know what was going on. His father, who had been in a good mood and slightly drunk, had sobered up and was standing there with his mouth wide open.
“Nina will take care of Mii-chan’s parents, and Natsu-nii, explain everything to Mom and Dad.”
“O-Okay”
Natsuhiko knew that he had to explain the current situation… but first, he had to tell them that he started dating his sister’s best friend.
