Non-Human Girls Are Fighting Over Me ~ Do I Get to Refuse? “Nope!” “No Way!” “Not a Chance!” “Absolutely Not!” - Chapter 42 & 43
Chapter 42.1: Suicide Squad — In the Underground Prison
—The deepest level of the Demon Castle’s underground.
In a forbidden space where no human was meant to tread, the sound of heels echoed as Saintess Sera appeared.
“…You really came all the way down here?”
Demon King Satan glared at Sera, his face like he’d seen the impossible.
“You’re the first human to set foot here. Ballsy move~ Honestly, it’s a waste to keep you with humans. Wanna join us? There’s an open seat among the Seven Great Demons right now. You’d fit right in.”
A direct offer from the Demon King himself.
But Sera smiled coolly and shook her head.
“Sorry, I serve God. That’s a no-go.”
“Shame.”
Satan scratched his head with a laugh, but his gaze quickly shifted.
There stood—a massive stone slab.
Sealed in glossy, ice-cold carbonite was the form of a strikingly refined woman.
“So, this is the one…?”
“Yup,” Satan shrugged.
“A survivor of the God-Demon War. Samael’s former wife, the demon Agrat Bat Mahalat. You really gonna wake her? Can you control her?”
Sera answered with another smile.
“That’s for God to know. But let me talk to her, woman to woman.”
A bespectacled secretary demon interrupted.
“Demon King-sama, are we really reviving her? The risks—”
“I know. But we got no one else who can match up. If Sera says so, let’s trust her. She’s the real deal.”
“Don’t expect anything just for flattery,” Sera replied with a light laugh, already directing the room like she was in charge.
Countless pipes connected to the slab, and a magic circle was formed.
“Rumble rumble rumble…!”
A flash of light roared, and the carbonite melted away.
What emerged—a woman of breathtaking elegance and beauty.
But her eyes burned with ferocious hatred.
Instantly, five chains shot from the magic circle, binding her limbs and neck, with one gagging her mouth.
“Hmph, hmph… grrrr!”
Agrat growled, thrashing wildly. The chains creaked, on the verge of snapping.
“Sending the current.”
The secretary demon waved her staff, and lightning surged through the circle.
“Guh… gugugugu!!”
Agrat writhed in agony, still glaring at Satan and Sera beside him.
Finally—her movements stilled.
“Calmed down?”
Sera stepped forward.
But as she approached, Agrat thrashed again.
Sera spoke in a cold voice.
“Listen. I’ll remove the mouth chain, but don’t attack. If you do, I’ll have to kill you. Got it? Nod if you understand.”
After a silence, Agrat gave a small nod.
The mouth chain was removed.
“You bastard!! How dare you… how dare you do this to me, Satan!! I’ll rip you apart, you scum!!”
Her roar echoed.
Satan shrugged, glancing at Sera.
“See?”
Sera smiled gracefully, lifting her skirt in a curtsey.
“Pleased to meet you. I’m Seraphina. I have—a request for you.”
“Are you insane!? A mere human! No way I’m helping! Undo these chains now!! I’ll kill you!! Right now!!”
Agrat screamed, half-mad.
In that moment.
Sera raised her voice.
“—I know where Samael is!!”
Silence.
As if time itself stopped, Agrat froze.
“…What?”
Her eyes widened.
“He’s alive? That guy… no way…! Let me see him! Now!!”
Sera’s smile softened.
“Of course. I’ll let you see him. A deal—his whereabouts, and his person, are yours.”
※
At the Demon Castle—hours later.
The sound of heels echoed rhythmically, mercilessly, through a heavy stone corridor.
Their source—Saintess Seraphina.
But behind her saintly smile lurked a cold sharpness, like a honed blade.
“One more to go.”
Her soft voice chilled the Demon Castle’s air.
“Hehe… leave it to me. Got that thing ready?”
Satan, seated on a black iron throne, paused, narrowing his piercing gaze.
Even the demon realm’s mightiest hesitated before her.
“You really… using that?”
He stroked his chin, grinning.
“I’ll leave it to you. But man… you’re way scarier than the Seven Great Demons.”
Sera gave a small bow, the picture of a refined saintess.
Yet her gaze didn’t waver, meeting Satan’s mocking smile head-on.
Chapter 42.2: Interludes
Interlude 1: Snack Bar “The Witch’s Cauldron” (Part 1)
Saturday night, Mio’s apartment.
During dinner, Mio suddenly cut in.
“By the way… last week, you went drinking with Towa, huh?”
Her voice was oddly low.
“She was all smug, showing off photos. Where’d you go?”
Kazuto hurriedly looked away, chopsticks in hand, mumbling.
“Uh, um… some non-human bar… and then…”
Mio blinked, then her eyes widened.
“That’s a hostess club!!”
“What!? S-Serious!?”
“I’ve never been there, but it’s definitely one! …Alright, no choice. We’re going too.”
“Where?”
“To the ‘Witch’s shop.’”
Led by Mio, they wound through a residential alley.
“Uh, it’s a dead end…”
“It’s up ahead.”
With that, Mio walked straight through the wall.
“Whoa, wait!? Aaaah!?”
Kazuto was dragged along, passing through the wall.
Beyond—a small neon sign buzzed with a zzt.
A sign read “The Witch’s Cauldron.”
A separate building was attached, with its own entrance.
“…It’s real. Creepy.”
“Come on.”
Chime.
The door opened with a bell.
“Welcome~”
Behind the counter stood a massive woman, easily mistaken for a “Wasteland Witch.”
Kazuto couldn’t help but blurt out.
“…Yup, witch’s shop alright. Yup.”
The Mama beamed.
“Oh my, calling me a beauty-witch already! Honest boy~”
“Hey! Your strike zone’s way too wide!!” Mio snapped instantly.
“Mio-chan, long time no see! How you holdin’ up?”
“Yeah, fine. By the way, Mama, this guy… my boyfriend.”
“What!? Boyfriend!? And a high schooler!?”
Mama’s eyes sparkled, sizing Kazuto up.
“Ooh, younger guy! Nice~ I could just eat him up ♡”
(She might actually cook me…)
At the back, a red-haired woman slumped over the counter.
“Oh, Izolde. Long time. You good?”
“…Ugh, Morgadia. Been a while… Wait, with a guy!? Hmm, boyfriend, huh.”
Izolde tilted her glass awkwardly.
They sat at the counter.
“Mama, strong whiskey and water for me. Oolong tea for him.”
“Got it~ Cute young boyfriend, huh?”
The counter was packed with bottles.
“This one’s still good, right? Your bottle, Mio-chan.”
Mama deftly poured, serving whiskey and oolong tea.
“Cheers.”
“C-Cheers…”
Kazuto glanced around.
“Kinda… normal place, huh? First time at a snack bar.”
“What were you expecting!? It’s not for yelling. This is an adult social spot. Mama’s the rule. Mama’s absolute.”
Mama chatted with patrons, tossing out gossip, politics, and dirty jokes with ease.
“This Mama’s no ordinary witch. Back in the day, she was ‘Aradia of Wisdom,’ the kingdom’s top mage,” Mio explained.
“Oh, old stories~ I was so popular, it was trouble~ Gahaha!”
Mama pulled a black-and-white photo from under the counter.
In it—a breathtaking beauty, like a goddess.
“…Unbelievable…”
Kazuto kept glancing between the photo and Mama.
(…I heard witches live long, but… what happened?)
Interlude 2: Snack Bar “The Witch’s Cauldron” (Part 2)
“This Mama’s no ordinary witch. Back in the day, she was ‘Aradia of Wisdom,’ the kingdom’s top mage,” Mio explained.
“Oh, old stories~ I was so popular, it was trouble~ Gahaha!”
Mama pulled a black-and-white photo from under the counter.
In it—a breathtaking beauty, like a goddess.
“…Unbelievable…”
Kazuto kept glancing between the photo and Mama.
(…I heard witches live long, but… what happened?)
Mio and Kazuto sat side by side at the counter, listening to Mama’s boisterous banter.
Dim lighting and faintly retro Showa-era tunes filled the bar. Regulars’ laughter echoed, creating a cozy vibe.
But then, a sudden presence from behind.
In an instant, a face wedged between Mio and Kazuto, hands gripping their shoulders.
“Sho… showin’ off like thaaat~…
Nooo… don’t make me jealouuuus…”
A boozy stench—sweet like a cocktail—hit their noses.
Turning, they saw Izolde, face flushed, clinging to them unsteadily.
“It’sh not faaair~… It’sh ‘cause of you I’m like thish today!
It’sh your fault!! Why, why’sh it like thiiis… ugh, ugh…!”
Her face was a mess of tears and snot, fully drunk.
“Lucky Mjorgadia~… With a hot boyfriend~…
After thish, you’re goin’ all lovey-dovey to a love hotel, right!? Right!!”
Her scream rang out, louder than the karaoke, and Mio’s brow twitched.
With a smirk, she fired back provocatively.
“Yeah, we are. Gonna enjoy ourselves till morning. Sorry for the single Izolde, though!”
“Waaaaaah!!”
Izolde’s wail outdid the karaoke.
“Now, now, now! Both of you, play nice~” Mama stepped in.
“But Maaaama~! It’sh their fault I’m… waaaah!!”
Izolde collapsed onto the table again.
Mama, with practiced ease, handed her a glass of amber liquid.
“Here, Izo-chan, whiskey and water~”
(It was oolong tea.)
The mood soured, and Mio shrugged.
“Kinda killed the vibe. Wanna head out?”
Then Mama leaned in, grinning at Kazuto.
“Sorry about that. As an apology, I’ll read your fortune, boyfriend-kun.”
“No way!? For real? Lucky you!” Mio jumped in.
“Mama’s readings are dead-on. The witch called ‘Aradia of Wisdom’ doesn’t miss.”
“Uh… that’s a high bar…”
Mama took Kazuto’s palm, staring intently.
“Hmm… stand there.”
A magic circle glowed beside the counter. Mama, holding a wand like a purification rod, spun around, chanting.
The red circle expanded—then popped and vanished.
Kazuto whispered to Mio.
“Uh… isn’t fortune-telling, like, tarot or a crystal? That was just palm reading, right?”
“Mama’s no run-of-the-mill seer. She’s mastered Eastern astrology too.”
(Still not convinced…)
Mama smiled and declared.
“Here it is. —For now, you’ve got a ‘woman trouble’ vibe.”
(Yup, knew that. Been that way for a while…)
Mama whispered to Mio alone.
“Mio-chan… a new woman’s coming for him. Your toughest rival yet.”
Mio’s face froze, creaking as she glared at Kazuto.
“…You pulling something again? Making a new girl?”
“Whoa, hold up! I haven’t done anything!”
Mama continued in a hush.
“Listen. The next one’s ‘the ex.’ Probably—his former wife.”
“What!? What’d that guy do in his past life!?”
Mio’s voice cracked.
“If she shows up, come back. I’ll give you some womanly countermeasures.”
“Thanks, Mama! …But I’d prefer ‘fortune-telling’ countermeasures.”
“Fine. Don’t get emotional—it’ll play into her hands. Remember, she’s the ultimate romantic predator.”
Finally, Mama saw them off with a smile.
“Come back with your boyfriend.”
“Thanks, Mama, we’ll be back.”
Mio and Kazuto left the bar.
Walking through the neon-lit streets, Mio muttered.
“…Well, once in a while. Got some frustrations to vent, and I can’t lie to Izolde.”
They vanished into the night.
Their destination—a love hotel street on the way home.
“…Ah, Kazuto. I think I drank too much…
Gotta rest somewhere before heading back…”
Mio’s lips curled into a sly grin.
Chapter 43: Suicide Squad — The Saintess and the Dragon
This is—the Dragonoid Castle, deep underground in a prison.
But calling it a “prison” felt utterly out of place given the scene.
Glittering chandeliers. Tapestries adorning the walls. A plush bed and fine carpet.
Without the iron bars, one might mistake it for a luxurious lodge or a noble’s villa.
Standing before those bars, clad in white robes, Saintess Sera cast a downward gaze, almost condescending.
Inside was a single woman.
Red hair with natural curls, standing well over 180 centimeters.
Her shoulders and back rippled with muscles that could rival a man’s. Two curved horns sprouted from her head. Scales peeked from her neck and tail, reminiscent of a reptile.
Yet, despite her rugged physique, her shapely chest, cinched waist, and prominent hips declared her femininity.
Her chiseled features blended beauty and strength.
Dressed in a shirt and pants, her rough style clashed with the opulent surroundings.
“So… what do you want with me?”
She spoke gruffly.
Her name—Aurelia Draconia.
“I want you to join the subjugation team against Samael,” Sera replied, her smile unwavering.
“…Huh? Why the hell should I bother with that crap?”
“You’re locked in this prison for defying a royal decree. If you want out, you’ll need to work at least this much.”
“Tch… That’s ‘cause they tried to marry me off to some prick I didn’t like. A wimpy guy like that? No thanks.”
“But beating his face to a pulp was a bit much, don’t you think?”
Sera’s tone was gentle, but it carried the unyielding weight of iron.
Aurelia shrugged, her large tail swaying lazily.
“So? This Samael guy—any good?”
“Honestly? In your current state, you wouldn’t stand a chance against even one of his followers.”
“…Oi.”
“Don’t worry. I’ve prepared a ‘tool’ for you. Handle it right, and you’ll manage.”
Sera’s cool gaze seemed to pierce the future.
Aurelia let out a heavy sigh.
“Ugh… fine. Guess that’s my only ticket outta here.”
“Deal sealed.”
Sera raised her hand through the bars, weaving a faint light.
A magic circle glowed at Aurelia’s feet, etching intricate contract patterns.
“What’s this?”
“A contract sigil. Break your promise or try to flee, and… it explodes.”
“…What?”
“So, rest assured. It won’t explode if you don’t run.”
Sera’s saintly smile was so graceful it was chillingly terrifying.
Aurelia pressed a hand to her forehead, smirking bitterly.
“You’re nuts, lady. Really a saintess?”
“Of course.”
Sera answered with a bright smile.
