“…I’ve washed up. So, I’ll just sit next to you, if you don’t mind…”

“S-sure.”

Next to me, who was already soaking in the tub, Rui took a seat a bit further away.

The water rippled, splashing over the rim of the spacious bathtub that could easily fit a few more people.

Once submerged in the hot water, it was natural for a sigh to escape.

I glanced sideways to see Rui soaking comfortably up to her shoulders in the water.

And then, my gaze inadvertently moved to her chest area… where a bath towel was wrapped.

Ideally, one should remove the towel before entering the tub, but… it seemed like no one else was here, and I heard the men’s bath was rarely used.

So, we both stayed wrapped in our towels.

But she looked a bit more tense than usual.

Even the usually composed Rui seemed to be feeling the tension of being alone with me in the bath.

“Thanks for joining me.”

“Really?”

“Yes.”

Knowing that other girls want to talk to me as well… that’s incredibly heartening!

“Why did you think of taking a bath with me?”

Rui asked, staring intently into my eyes.

“…Fufu, what’s that? Are you trying to say, in a roundabout way, that you want to take a bath with me?”

“…Well, yeah. Your words, Rui. You might have meant it teasingly, but I don’t particularly have any reason to deny it.”

“…I see. That makes sense. You always want to be popular with girls, Ikuto. And I’m one of those girls…”

It seemed that Rui thought I’d want to take a bath with any girl, as long as she was female.

I usually talk about wanting to be popular or wanting to create a harem, so it’s understandable she’d think that way.
