“I thought you would leave quietly without waking up Mom and me, skipping breakfast.”

Later, Rui came to pick me up, and we headed to school together.

The pre-departure meeting had ended, and my classmates started to board the buses.

We guys were among the last to board. It seemed that seats had been preassigned.
