These were the words I had developed a habit of uttering each morning.

After Kuno finished styling his hair, we switched places, and I washed my face at the washbasin. Lately, the mornings have been getting warmer, and splashing my face with cold water brought a refreshing start to the day.

“Mom already left for work.”

Mom had been quite occupied lately, even working on her laptop late into the night. It appeared she would be returning home late again that day.

Let’s see if I can prepare something a bit special for dinner with Kuno tonight.

I better avoid getting Kuno upset again; who knows what might happen…

This time, Kuno struck up a conversation with me while I was rinsing my mouth after brushing my teeth.

Usually, Kuno would have already made his way to the living room by now. It seems he has something important to discuss today.
