Only I, Her Future Husband, Know How to Make Her Act All Lovey-Dovey - Chapter 4
Episode 4: The Morning of the Entrance Ceremony
I had a dream about the day I met Yuki.
The night before any big event—exams, interviews, or anything important—I almost always have a dream.
I remember hearing on some TV program that dreaming is a sign of light sleep.
Maybe I was subconsciously nervous.
“Yawn…”
I reached over to turn off the alarm and slowly got up from bed.
It was a good dream.
I hadn’t seen Yuki in a while, and it felt like we were reunited.
Rubbing my eyes, I opened the curtains, letting the morning light pour over me.
A part of me wanted to crawl back into bed and continue the dream, but that wasn’t an option today.
“Alright, time to go. Time to meet Yuki again.”
Because today was my second entrance ceremony.

Shichibo Academy, a private school, is one of the top preparatory schools in the nation.
With high-quality classes and school rules that respect students’ autonomy, it’s a dream school for top achievers.
It even offers subsidies for professional certifications and financial aid for studying abroad.
For high performers, it’s practically paradise.
From my house, it’s a ten-minute bike ride or a twenty-minute walk.
Since I had time today, I decided to walk.
Most students commute by train, so they walk to school from the station.
The closer I got to the school, the more students I saw.
Since it was the entrance ceremony, there were no upperclassmen today.
Everyone here was a first-year like me.
Some looked nervous, while others seemed excited about their new life.
“Damn, this place is huge…”
I stopped in front of the school gate, awestruck by the sheer size of the high school I’d be attending.
Though I had visited once during the entrance exam, I’d been too nervous to take it in.
This was my first time getting a proper look.
“New students, this way! Please line up here!”
A middle-aged staff member wearing glasses and holding a megaphone guided us.
As I approached the gymnasium, I saw a line of new students forming.
“I went to middle school in Nara.”
“Really? So you’re living alone starting high school?”
Listening to the conversations of the students already in line, I joined the end of the queue.
I’m really about to start high school all over again.
Wow. I couldn’t help but feel excited.
When was the last time I felt this thrilled?
There were so many things I had wanted to do during my school days.
Now that I had a second chance at high school, I was determined to make the most of it.
“I’ll do everything I’ve ever wanted to do.”
But before that, I had something I didn’t want to do but had to face.
Yes, I’d made one mistake.
“I studied way too much…”
