This time, the gods who came from Earth were Christ-sama, Buddha-sama, and Amaterasu-sama. Christ-sama was raising his fist while shouting “Repent!” Buddha-sama was chanting some kind of sutra and Amaterasu-sama was smiling at me with an expressionless Noh-mask-like grin.

So scary! What’s going to happen to me after this?

Eek…! Amaterasu-sama put me in a headlock. Maybe they were being considerate of me, since Ceres and the others couldn’t see them… But still, it was terrifying… Just like that, I was about to be pulled into the space behind me.

Hurry it up already…!  Buddha-sama was mouthing the words silently.

God. A fictional being. Was the god we believed in really real? Buddha, Amaterasu, Christ, Zeus. Those figures were not real. Some may have existed as historical people, but they were not gods. That had been scientifically proven.

I pointed the camera in the direction they were expressing their gratitude—but nothing showed up. Ceres and Reira were speaking as if a goddess named “Ishtar” were there, but no one was there.

“‘Ishtar-sama!?’”

They sounded like they were talking to someone, but I could only hear their voices.

“Yes.”

Then, I heard a voice from behind me. But when I turned around, there was no one there.

Only the voice reached me. And then… The camera suddenly broke. Yes. That was what I told my superior.
