Chapter 45: Orika Shiina’s Concern
“If it’s okay, can I join your conversation?” Orika asks.
During a break in the shoot, Orika Shiina, a rising young actress, tried to join the conversation of six people in the break room.
Her black hair, unlike Koharu’s, had no styling—just a straight hairstyle perfect for her pure actress image. She was a genuine celebrity. Everyone showed surprised faces, wondering why she spoke to them.
“If you’re okay with us… please join,” someone invites.
“Then—” Orika responds.
She sat next to Hiroyo. Hiroyo, with an actress right beside him, trembled nervously. He sent a pleading look for help, but no one assisted him.
“Actually, I have a gift called ‘Eavesdropping,'” Orika reveals.
Though no one asked, Orika suddenly confessed.
Hearing this, Hibiki and the others flinched in reaction.
That meant one thing.
“You reacted to something about me, right?” Orika asks.
They were overheard.
They had whispered quietly, certain no one could hear.
Yet, Orika heard them, meaning her gift allowed it.
(Hey, what do we do, Hibiki?) someone signals.
(This means she heard the skill name too, right?) another adds.
(Then, should we dodge it somehow?) someone suggests.
(Maybe just explain it lightly?) another proposes.
(Worst case, I’ll handle it with my ‘Oath,’) someone offers.
They held this conversation with their eyes alone.
Hibiki spoke first.
“Actually, my skill reacted to you, Orika Shiina. In simple terms, it means you need a skill that Hiroyo, sitting there, has,” Hibiki explains.
“Something I need… this boy has it…” Orika murmurs.
Orika narrowed her eyes, staring at Hiroyo. Hiroyo remained frozen, as before.
“It’s—” Hibiki begins.
“‘Sensitivity Improvement,’ right?” Orika interrupts.
Orika finished Hibiki’s sentence.
As expected, she had heard the skill name too.
“Yes… that’s right. Some of us here had our issues resolved by Hiroyo… so we thought you might have a concern too,” Hibiki says.
“…” Orika falls silent.
Orika, told this by Hibiki, thought deeply.
Her expression was serious. On TV, she showed many expressions, but in this private space, she hadn’t smiled once.
“Manager,” Orika calls.
“Yes,” the manager replies.
“Can I say it?” Orika asks.
“Honestly… I don’t recommend it,” the manager advises.
The manager, a woman in a suit with glasses standing behind, was consulted by Orika. She didn’t completely refuse, though.
“You all seem like good kids… can you swear not to spread this outside?” Orika asks.
“What, you’re going to say something that important!?” someone exclaims.
“Important… well, it’s important to me. But to the public, maybe not…” Orika muses.
“We’re just regular people, we can’t handle too much!” someone protests.
Hibiki’s opinion was fair. If they let something slip, it could spread online. They didn’t know what Orika would say, but she feared that.
“Well… it’ll be fine,” Orika decides.
Orika took a deep breath and murmured.
“I’m kind of frigid,” Orika confesses.
It was a term indicating a woman couldn’t enjoy sex.
“…Seriously, was it okay to hear this?” Himari asks.
Himari panicked slightly at what she heard. Sweat appeared on her forehead.
It was like dirty talk from an actress. Quite a delicate topic.
“It’s okay. My problem isn’t about sex. It’s about acting,” Orika clarifies.
“Orika Shiina said sex! Sex!” Himari exclaims.
“Himari, quiet down,” Hibiki snaps.
Himari, not expecting such words from an actress, couldn’t stay calm. Hibiki sharply scolded her to stop.
“Until now, I didn’t have scenes involving much interaction, but I finally got a role in a movie with a kiss and such scenes,” Orika explains.
“Congratulations,” someone says.
They didn’t know the project, but they congratulated her anyway.
“Yes. For other acting, I’m honestly confident. But I can’t understand romantic interactions. An ex-boyfriend once called me a dead fish,” Orika shares.
“Did you date him because you liked him?” Hibiki asks.
Hibiki felt a slight doubt.
A tiny sense of unease.
“Well… he confessed, so I dated him to help with my acting in the future,” Orika admits.
“As expected… Orika, you might be frigid, but I think liking someone matters too,” Hibiki suggests.
“Is that so… but falling in love isn’t easy for me. I can act it by wearing a mask, but it probably won’t be fulfilling,” Orika reflects.
Actors become their roles to act. Some get so immersed it affects their daily lives. They prepare before filming starts.
“If you truly need it… we could have Hiroyo use his gift, but it won’t improve your ability to love,” Hibiki warns.
“But—it can improve the body, even if not the heart, right?” Orika asks.
“Yes, that’s right,” Hibiki confirms.
From Orika’s words, she already showed interest in Hiroyo’s skill.
But they had to tell her clearly.
“There are drawbacks. And he has to touch your body… are you okay with that?” Hibiki asks.
“Him, huh…” Orika murmurs.
Orika stared intently at Hiroyo.
Hiroyo, embarrassed, hid his face with both hands.
“I can’t see your face,” Orika says.
“Uh… please, give me a break,” Hiroyo pleads.
“You’re an interesting guy. Actors in this industry usually try to hit on me,” Orika notes.
“If you put it that way, Hiroyo’s the opposite type,” Hibiki remarks.
Hiroyo was used to pretty girls like Hibiki and the others, but a real celebrity was different. Orika Shiina had a unique celebrity aura.
“It’s fine. Touching and the drawbacks… acting is my priority now. If it gets me closer to that future—” Orika declares.
Was this the soul of an actress?
Hibiki and the others gasped at the glint in her eyes, hidden behind her expressionless face.
It was the same look Koharu and Kirino had when they desperately wanted their issues resolved.
They couldn’t hold her back any longer.
“Hiroyo, can you do it?” Hibiki asks.
“Yeah… if Orika needs it,” Hiroyo agrees.
“Then it’s settled,” Hibiki concludes.
Thus, Orika Shiina’s ‘Sensitivity Improvement’ treatment was decided.
◇ ◇ ◇
One week later.
Hiroyo and Umirin acted together, and Orika Shiina and her manager arrived, but they witnessed an intense kiss scene.
Though told to continue the kiss, Hiroyo pulled Umirin away to return to the main topic.
“You were going to use your skill on me—that was the deal,” Orika reminds.
Today was the day to perform the treatment on Orika Shiina.
But why was Umirin needed?
“As I explained before, my gift ‘Oath’ will enforce a confidentiality agreement,” Umirin states.
“Of course. Manager, can you step out?” Orika requests.
“Understood,” the manager agrees.
The manager in a suit left the room, leaving three people behind.
Since Hiroyo’s skill’s usefulness couldn’t be widely known, Umirin’s gift ensured silence.
Orika and Umirin faced each other across a table.
“You won’t talk to others about Hiroyo’s gift. You can only talk when me, Hiroyo, Hibiki, Himari, Koharu, and Kirino are present. Also, even if the drawback makes you want to attack Hiroyo, you won’t,” Umirin declares.
It was late to mention, but Hiroyo’s skill had a drawback.
With Umirin’s gift, Orika likely wouldn’t attack Hiroyo, allowing the treatment to finish. But Orika would have to handle her body’s restlessness herself.
“Yes, please,” Orika agrees.
Like with Aoi, a bluish-white light glowed in Umirin’s right hand, placed over Orika’s.
They confirmed her intent.
“Then, I establish an ‘Oath’ between me and Orika Shiina—” Umirin announces.
The light enveloped their hands. After the ‘Oath’ was sealed, it vanished as particles.
“That’s done!” Umirin exclaims.
“Thank you. Can we start the treatment? There’s a bed,” Orika requests.
The three stood and left the room.
They headed to a bedroom.
This was Orika Shiina’s apartment.
As a celebrity, she lived in a tower mansion with tight security at the entrance.
The room was simple, fitting her style. A single bed stood by the window.
“I’ll step out for now. It’s up to you, Hiroyo,” Umirin says.
“Wait… you’re really leaving?” Hiroyo asks.
“I mean, there’s no point in me staying. I’ll hit a nearby café,” Umirin replies.
“Orika, aren’t you trusting me too much? I’m a guy, you know?” Hiroyo protests.
“We can add to the ‘Oath’ that you won’t touch me inappropriately. But I feel you’re okay,” Orika reassures.
“Your manager’s in another room, right?” Hiroyo asks.
“No, I asked her to leave,” Orika reveals.
“Seriously…?” Hiroyo gasps.
For about an hour until the treatment ended, Hiroyo would be alone with a young actress seen on TV.
“Well, Umirin, see you later,” Orika says.
“Yup. It’ll probably feel amazing, but hold back, okay?” Umirin teases.
Umirin left after saying something unnecessary.
The two remained. As Hiroyo fidgeted, Orika slowly began undressing.
“Uh, no blindfold or anything?” Hiroyo asks.
“No need. I’m not without shame, but I trust you, Hiroyo,” Orika replies.
“Trusting me that much is troubling!” Hiroyo exclaims.
No matter what he said, Hiroyo couldn’t escape until the treatment ended.
Even if it meant seeing a beautiful actress naked.
Her clothes fell to the floor, and she reached for her underwear.
Bra, then panties…
“It’s a bit embarrassing. You can look, but… maybe don’t stare,” Orika requests.
Orika suddenly felt intense shame.
Her face showed the expressive quality seen on TV.
Since she had been expressionless until now, Hiroyo felt relieved seeing her face.
“Come here. If you’re hot, you can take off that jacket,” Orika suggests.
“Okay—” Hiroyo agrees.
Hiroyo removed his jacket, wearing only a T-shirt. Guided to the bed, Orika lay face-up, naked.
Her fair skin and balanced figure featured a small butt and unexpectedly large breasts. Hiroyo gulped.
Hiroyo prepared and leaned toward Orika’s face.
“It’s the whole body, from head to toes,” Hiroyo explains.
“Yes, please,” Orika agrees.
Orika closed her eyes, fully entrusting her body to Hiroyo.
Hiroyo focused and activated the skill.
“Skill ‘Sensitivity Improvement,'” Hiroyo declares.
A faint white light glowed in both his hands.
