A warning from my younger sister ①
“…Good work.”
When I finished my part-time job and was getting ready to leave, Risako came out of the changing room.
Her face looked terribly tired.
“Good work, Risako… Are you okay?”
“I’m tired… Part-time jobs are this tough, huh.”
“Is this your first time doing a part-time job?”
“Yeah, I’ve occasionally helped out at this café before, but the workload for part-time jobs is different.”
“Yeah, and there were more customers than usual today, plus it’s your first day, so I think you got extra tired.”
“I see.”
Today, there seemed to be some event nearby, which brought in a large number of customers.
By the way, it seemed that Hina-ane and Ren-san had some business to attend to as they left immediately after we met.
“Well, you’ll be coming to work tomorrow too, right? Anyway, go home quickly and rest. Well then… ugghh?!”
As I said this and tried to leave, I was suddenly pulled from behind.
“Why are you trying leave for home alone?”
“eh?”
“what ‘eh?’, I mean, I’m going home now as well, and so is Kousuke… will you?”
“Oh… Then let’s go home together.”
“Okay, okay.”
(What’s with that attitude?!)
Well, I won’t say it aloud, because I’m scared of what might happen later on.
“Why did you suddenly want to go home together?”
Risako usually has a tendency to go home alone, but this time, she urged us to go home together.
So there must be something.
“It’s because a young maiden shouldn’t go home alone; it’s worrisome.”
“No, Risako, your house is really close by, and it’s the usual route, isn’t it? Besides, is it really okay if your boyfriend happens to see us together?”
“It’s okay, my boyfriend won’t get mad about that… Besides.”
“Besides?”
Risako took out her smartphone.
“Right now, he’s at a supermarket near his parents’ house.”
“Nn, did you get a message or something?”
“No.”
“Um etto, then how do you know?”
“Isn’t that obvious, by GPS.”
(What’s with that ‘it’s common sense’ look you are giving me!?)
“No, no, wait, GPS?! That’s weird.”
“Sigh… Kousuke, you see, it’s common sense to put GPS on your boyfriend.”
“No, what kind of common sense is that?!”
“Sigh, it’s because you can’t even know that thing, that’s why you can’t get a girlfriend.”
(Arre? Am I the one who’s wrong?)
Seeing Risako’s confident attitude, Kousuke started to feel like he might be the one in the wrong.
“Well, never mind that, I have something to talk about. Come with me.”
“Haah… Oh, okay.”
The two of them headed to a nearby park.
