Going home together with Kousuke

“Well then, Kou-kun, let’s head home soon.”

Listening to that, I look at the time. It was about ten minutes before school-gate closing time. The sun was also begining to set and it was getting darker.

“Eh! It’s already this time.”

“Fufu, When I work with Kou-kun, The progression of time becomes quite fast isn’t it?.”

Suzu smiles at me

“Is that perhaps a good thing?”

“Ofcourse It is a good thing, as I was able to concentrate so much that I forgot the time. This is all thanks to your support. Look, we were able to work out so much of this.”

When I looked again at that pile of documents, it had been reduced to nearly half.

It sounded like Ren-senpai said something. But because I was putting away the stack of documents, I couldn’t catch what it was.

After that, leaving the student council room, when we started heading back to our home together. Somehow Kou-kun was paying extra attention to our surroundings for some reason.

“Huh? … Don’t worry about it, if that happens, I will go out my way to protect you, Kou-kun.”

Kou-kun had a face hued in slight panic.

A weird silence went on between the two for some time.

(… And here I thought that I can at last enjoy a merry time returning home together with Kou-kun… but now a strange atmosphere is surrounding us.)

In order to return home after working with Kousuke, Ren had proactively taken charge of all those work which were meant to be done in the Student-Council room, and handled over the work meant to be done outside to Hina, Yukihiro, and those two first year.

Especially the troublesome cases were all concentrated on Hina.

“Ren-san…umm, do you always… have that much work in your hands?”

“Un? Did you start to hate the work of student council?”

“No, I was just thinking that if you’ve been doing all that amount by yourself, I’m in fact more worried about your health.”

“Fufu, it’s alright. Because, we usually distribute our share of work between us. It’s just that this time, the other members had to attend some more important meetings outside of the student council. So I was taking care of this issue for them.”

“Is that so”

Kou-kun looked relieved

“And see, as we were so involved with work, we didn’t get to eat, did we?”

“Ah, that’s true.”

“So on that note, since I’m feeling really hungry, let’s go home fast?”

I took charge of Kou-kun’s hand

“Hue!?”

Kou-kun’s face turned red almost immediately.

Until we finally got back to his apartment. We both had been holding each other’s hand.
