Kousuke and Student Council
“Phew, let’s do it then.”
After school, Kosuke was in front of the student council office.
During lunch break, he received a text message from Hina.
『From today onwards, please come to the student council room after school.』
And so he was now in front of the door, and went ahead to knock twice on it.
*Rattling-opening sounds
“Yes…”
A quiet-looking girl with black hair bound in braids comes out.
” um……, may I help you?”
“Ah, sorry, is Hina-nee—ugh, not that. …I’m here because I was called by President Hina-san to come over after school.”
“Ah, so you’re that Kousuke-kun?”
“Umm, and you are?”
“Anyways, please come in. Others are already here.”
Saying that, the black-haired girl urged him to come in as Kousuke, without a hitch went by her lead, inside.
Inside the student council room, there were familiar faces and also, strangers.
There were about five people in the room, including the black-haired girl he encountered earlier.
Among them, she was sitting on the chair at the opposite end, at the front.
The president of the student council of Hoshimi High School, Hina.
And she spoke to me.
“Ko-chan, I’m glad you came.
“I’m sorry for coming a little late. President Hina.”
Hina, waving her hand, said,
“Don’t worry. I had already heard your class was going to finish late.”
“More than that, why is Ko-chan calling me ‘President’?”
“Well, it’s because I am taking note of your position.”
“I don’t care about that. I feel lonely, that’s why, please call me like you always do~”
Being troubled by her words, the man sitting on just the right hand to Hina. A man with glasses, one of the vice presidents of the student council, Yukihiro, looked back at the President and said.
“President, what Kousuke says is absolutely right.”
“Eh? …But…~”
“Even if you are on friendly terms with one another, there should always be exceptions. Moreover, Kosuke is not here to play in the student council.”
“Ugggghh!”
Hina-nee was groaning hard because she couldn’t rebut anything that was said to her.
“Humu, now then Kosuke.”
Yukihiro Senpai turns to me.
“Yes, sir.”
“First, should we first start with your introduction?”
“I understand. I’m Kizawa Kousuke, freshman, class A. I’ve decided to join the student council although it’s late. I look forward to working with you.”
*claps claps claps
“Well, I’d also like to say my greetings to you too, but… President, I, and Nishinomiya are already your acquaintances. So, you should already know us.”
Looking to the left, Ren-senpai was smiling at me.
“Yes, I know.”
“All right then, let me introduce you to some first-years who you are not acquainted with yet. Asahi, Yuna, say your greetings.”
As he said,
The two other students who were sitting on either side of each other. The black-haired girl and the blonde-haired girl stood up.
The black-haired girl begins first.
“I am the treasurer, Hoshikawa Asahi. … It is nice to meet you.”
[TL notes: the last part ‘it is nice to meet you’ also meant, ‘I will be in your care in working with you.’]
Hoshikawa Asahi bows her head.
“Similar in my case. My name is Hoshikawa Yuna. Looking forward in working with you.”
The blonde-haired girl named Hoshikawa Yuna says her greetings.
“So, both of you have the last name Hoshikawa?”
“Yes, we are twins. So please distinguish us by our last name. I will be Yuna and she, Asahi”
“Understood, Yuna-san and Asahi-san.”
After the greetings, they took their seats.
“I’m surprised we are already done with introductions, President.”
“Un, well then, from here on out, the six of us will be running the student council. Got it?”
「「「「「Yes! 」」」」」
“Well, since Kou-chan wouldn’t know what his tasks would be, so let me—– eh?”
However, on just the right side to President Hina, there was a girl raising her hands all of a sudden.
“I’ll take care of him.”
Ren-senpai was raising up her hand as a volunteer in order to show me my tasks and responsibilities.
