The Day of liberation
“…….. fufu.”
I giggled outside the venue.
After that, it came to light that my grandparents, who had been taken to the hospital in emergency, couldn’t make it.
The reason they were taken to the hospital was due to some sort of an accident that occurred during their trip. I heard about the details of the accident earlier, but to be honest, I don’t remember.
Because more than that, I was elated that my grandparents had passed away.
(Ahh… I feel so happy. It might look a little insensitive of me, but my heart is dancing, and I feel such sure sense of liberation.)
Ren felt relieved that she was finally free from her grandparent’s grasp and that she was properly able to protected Kosuke from their evil.
“Ah!?”
“Nn?”
As I heard a voice to my back, I turned around to find a girl with a short hair.
“You’re Ren, right?”
“Yes? Um, you are?”
“I’m sorry for my sudden appearance. I’m Nishimiya Asuza.”
“Nishimiya… Ah, you’re from the company my mother in indebted at.”
[TL notes: indebted also goes for working over here.]
“Yes, my father is the president of that company.”
“I see. I am grateful for taking care of my mother for all this time.”
After my mother started going to work, she started feeling better each day and was doing fine now.
Ren bowed her head with gratitude.
“Ah no, please raise your head. It’s actually also thanks to your mother’s competence and talent, that’s what my father even mentioned.”
“Is that so… And so…”
“Ah, sorry for not explaining for my visit. You see, your mother was looking out for you, so I came to call you.”
“So that’s how it was. Thank you very much. I’ll go back to her right away.”
“Yes, please do. Well then, see you later.”
“? Un, yes. Well then, talk to you later.”
With that, Ren bowed and headed towards her mother.

“Mom.”
I approached my mother, who was looking around anxiously.
“Ah, Ren, where had you been?”
“Sorry, I went outside to get some fresh air.”
“I see… But next time, please let me know before you leave next time.”
I noticed that my mother’s hand was trembling,
so I gently held her hand.
“Un, sorry for that. I’ll make sure to let you know before I go the next time.”
“…Un, thank you.”
We smiled at each other softly.
