Ren’s hesitation
“As you are right now Ren, you can only bring harm to Ko-chan.”
Uttering these words, she went off.
All I could do was watch her go.
“I can only bring harm to him… Is it?”
I murmured to myself, deeply rattled.
When confronted with these words, I found myself understanding and becoming calm.
Lately, Ren couldn’t stay calm when it came to Kosuke.
For instance, she deliberately steered conversations toward discussions about family, or she would offer her own body to Kosuke without much thought.
If she were her usual self, she would have made arrangements for Kosuke’s sake and even engaged in stalking, but again, she would never touch upon things that can cause him trauma.
So why did it turn out this way? Was it because of Hina, a substitute elder sister, who was there to fill the void inKosuke? Or was it because Ren’s relationship with Kosuke had grown closer? Ren herself didn’t know.
However, Hina’s words such as “You’re just running away to Ko-chan” and “Right now, Ren can only bring harm to Ko-chan” pointed out the things that Ren was already feelingdeep down in her heart. Which therefore couldn’t make her refute them as she was forcibly confronted with those reality.
As a result, having no other choice but to become calm, Ren’s heart was instead filled with murky guilt towards Kosuke.
Ren sat on a nearby bench and began to think deeply… deeply on the lines on how she would start confront her present reality which is in front of her right now, thinking about the answer to make Kosuke and herself happy all in all. But even thought she thought and thought, about the future where she could see her and Kosuke happy in the end… she couldn’t find it, she just found herself inevitably end up hurting Kosuke again.
Ren let out a sigh and took out a letter from her bag.
“I am not sure what to do… Ko-kun.”
Ren gently stroked the letter, hoping that the answer might lie inside, recalling that distant past.
Author Notes:
Thank you very much for reading this far.
After this, I will post Chapter 2.5 and then move on to Chapter 3.
Just a note of caution regarding Chapter 2.5: It includes some unpleasant characters.
Of course, I intend to keep it mild (although I felt disgusted while writing it).
However, if you find it too harsh, please feel free to skip Chapter 2.5 and start reading from Chapter 3.
Now, if you all are willing, giving hearts or stars would be encouraging for my work. So, if you feel like it, please support me.
Thank you very much.
