- Chapter 9 - Student Council Decision
Student Council Decision
As I’m holed up in a private toilet, unable to recover for a while, Setsuna and Kurusu-senpai calls out to me loudly from outside the restroom in concern.
My stomach is still upset, but I leave the restroom to apologize to the three people waiting for me at the front of the restroom, worrying me.
“I’m sorry, thank you for waiting for me. I’m fine now.”
“It’s fine, let’s go back to the student council room now. We need to plan our next step.”
The four of us walk back to the student council room.
Then when we arrive at the student council room, we all take a seat and Setsuna gives us her order.
“Let’s see, we will now begin the special student council meeting. The agenda is regarding Kana Ikeuchi, Mugi-kun’s girlfriend who is in Class 1, second-grade. First of all, let me confirm something. Yuki-chan, please give us a report on the situation you just confirmed at the scene.”
“Yes. When we rushed to the class 1-2, in the classroom, Kana Ikeuchi and another boy in the classroom…what was his name?”
“Sugimura. I don’t know his first name though.”
“I believe his name is Nanigashi Sugimura. Well…that Nanigashi Sugimura was by the window of the classroom, hugging Ikeuchi Kana’s shoulders, and the two of them were having a conversation, whispering, while facing out the window. Both of them had their backs to the hallway, unaware that we were watching them, and we could hear them laughing happily from time to time.”
“Yes, thank you Yuki-chan.”
“Next, Hana-chan. I assume you took a picture of that evidence, how’s the picture coming out?”
“Perfect!”
“Thank you.”
“Then, I know it’s a little early, but we’ll take a decision. Those who think Kana Ikeuchi and Nanigashi Sugimura are guilty, please raise your hands.”
All four of us raise our hands.
“Okay, thank you very much. Then, it is the consensus of this student council that those two are good for nothing lowlifes.”
“I would like to continue with our future plans, but for now, since Mugi-kun has pushed himself quite too hard, we will stop for today and proceed with a strategy meeting after school tomorrow. Hana-chan, could you tell Yasui-kun to come tomorrow?”
“Ah yes, of course.”
As the secretary of student council, I recorded our meeting’s proceedings up to this point in a formal report.
“Umm…what should I do for the time being…? Should I send Kana a message saying that I’m going to school alone tomorrow?”
“That’s right, you should send the message now. Then, let’s meet at the station tomorrow and go to school together.”
“Sorry, thank you for your help.”
I quickly take out my phone and type a message to Kana
‘I’m going to school alone tomorrow, so you don’t have to wait for me.’
I show the message to the three of them before sending it.
All the three of them nod silently and I send the message to Kana.
We looked at it for a while, but it didn’t turn on as read, so we decided to go home.
The four of us walk to the school gate, and as we about part at the gate—
“I’ll go to Mugi-kun’s place during break time tomorrow, so let’s do our best!”
Kana said so.
“Yes, thank you Kishimoto-san. Thank you for your help. We should go home now, it’s getting dark. See you tomorrow.”
“Yes, see you tomorrow.”
I thanked Hana and said goodbye for the day.
On the way home with Setsuna, she is walking beside me while holding my hand the entire way.
“It’s okay, Mugi-kun. Me and everyone in the student council are here for you.”
