My Beautiful Step-Sister, Who Is Too Much My Type, Keeps Pressuring Me to 'Get Married' Every Day and I'm Really Troubled ~She Takes Advantage of Being My Step-Sister to Tempt Me However She Wants!?~ - 01 - My Little Sister Is Too Much Of My Type
“…Haa.”
“What’s wrong? You’re sighing like something’s bothering you.”
In the classroom after school, as I sighed in my seat, facing me, Kaori Mishizuku, a female student, sat in her chair looking at me curiously.
Mishizuku has beige-colored hair, super long and curly, with a tall stature, slim figure, and undeniably beautiful face.
However, since Mishizuku was my friend, the last time I felt attracted to her as the opposite sex was probably when we first met in our freshman year.
Since then, I haven’t harbored such feelings toward her.
I spoke with a slightly darker tone than usual.
“I’ve been really troubled lately. Well, not just troubled, but it’s gotten to the point where I feel like my dignity as a man is on the line.”
“What’s wrong? Are you still freaking out because you’re in your second year and don’t have a girlfriend yet? Don’t worry about that. Trying to force a girlfriend just because you’re in a rush is lame, in my opinion.”
“No, it’s not about having a girlfriend or anything like that. It’s not that simple.”
As I conveyed to Mishizuku, who had shown concern for me, that the situation was more serious, she listened intently.
Then, her expression, which had been normal until just now, tightened slightly as she responded to my words.
“…Are you dealing with some kind of trouble that you can’t solve alone?”
“I can’t say I can’t solve it alone yet, but at least I need someone to talk to about it and, if possible, someone who can help me solve it in the future.”
“Got it. Since Ichiiri is an important friend, I’ll make sure to cooperate properly.”
As Mishizuku nodded in response, she continued.
“So… what’s the trouble about?”
Seeing her unusually serious expression, I responded earnestly.
“Ah… I’m not sure if ‘trouble’ is the right word, but this issue is a family matter.”
“A family matter…?”
“I think I mentioned it to you before, but during the last summer break, circumstances led to taking in a girl, a third-year middle school student, who is one year younger than me.”
“You did mention that. So, she became your formal little sister, right?”
“That’s right… but, since we’re not related by blood, she’s technically my stepsister.”
After laying out the premise for discussing the main issue, I finally decided to get to the point.
“So, the problem this time revolves around that stepsister.”
“Your stepsister is the problem? What kind of problem is it?”
As asked, I verbalized the issue.
“In short… ever since I entered my second year of high school, my stepsister suddenly expressed her desire to marry me.”
“W-What!? M-Marriage!?”
Mishizuku exclaimed in shock, raising her voice unintentionally and even standing up from her seat.
I raised my index finger in front of my mouth and said,
“Even though there aren’t many people around after school, it’s not something you should say so loudly. Could you lower your voice a bit more?”
“Eh? Oh… sorry.”
Mishizuku regained her composure and quickly sat back down… However, it seemed that my earlier statement wasn’t something she could easily accept, as she immediately asked me about it.
“What do you mean by marriage? She’s your stepsister, right?”
“Since she brought up that topic, I’ve been trying to avoid any interactions with Yumi… I’m not really sure what her intentions are.”
“I thought maybe you’ve been inviting me to hang out after school recently because of that?”
“That’s part of it, but I genuinely enjoy hanging out with you, Mishizuku… Sorry, did that make you uncomfortable?”
“…If you genuinely enjoy hanging out with me, then it’s fine.”
Although Mishizuku said it was fine, she let out a sigh once, but then continued speaking.
“We don’t have enough information as it is. So, when you get home today, why don’t you talk to Yumi and ask her what she means by ‘marriage’? Maybe she means something else or something from a game.”
“…From what I’ve seen of Yumi’s demeanor, it doesn’t seem like that kind of situation, but I’ll give it a try. Okay, I’ll discuss this topic again today and try to get more information. If I find out anything, including the atmosphere, I’ll let you know tomorrow, Mishizuku.”
“Okay, good luck.”
Today, we didn’t go out to hang out. We parted ways in front of the school with the promise to discuss the details with her tomorrow.
I headed home to where Yumi, my stepsister, awaited.
When I arrived home, Yumi greeted me with eyes that sparkled as if they were hearts for a moment, welcoming me with an enthusiasm that could almost make one think it was an illusion.
“Onii-chan! Welcome Home!”
Lately, I’ve been avoiding interacting with Yumi except during dinner time at home.
But today, I decided to talk to her outside of dinner and try to get a sense of what’s going on with her.
…I didn’t tell Mishizuku, but there’s another tricky aspect to Yumi.
That is… Yumi’s appearance is just too much of my type.
