“Koichi-kun, you are two minutes late!”

“S-Sorry…”

I arrive at the clock tower in the park where we decided to meet.

The reason I’m late is actually because I was gathering my courage to meet Mana earlier.

Mana smiles and stretches her right hand towards me.

The one who is in Mana’s heart is not me, but it’s that other guy she cheats on me with.

Then, me and Mana start walking to school.

I don’t get it, why does Mana cheat on me in the first place?

Mana said so while her cheeks blush in red.

Apparently, I have been staring at Mana all this time when I was thinking about it.

I quickly glance away.

Mana said so with an embarrassed smile on her face.

She is truly cute.

However, I think that I am not the one who is in her heart anymore.

It must be that guy.

No, I shouldn’t blame Mana for this.

It’s partly my fault, if I’m good enough for Mana, she wouldn’t have cheated on me.

“Mana, do you have any boy you’re close with recently?”

She has a troubled look on her face.

She must be acting in front of me, she doesn’t want to show her true colours.

Then, I’m going to act in front of Mana too. I’m going to act as if nothing had happened.

I will try not to act suspicious and be her perfect boyfriend like I have always been.

His name is Ryo Saito, my best friend. He is the perfect student in our school, he is great both at sports and studies.

Saito sits down next to me.

He immediately knows that there is something troubling with me.

The Hamabe-san I talked about is Misaki Hamabe, Saito’s girlfriend.

She is in the same class as Mana.

Saito said so while he gets up from his seat.

Then, he goes back to his seat.
