My Beautiful Girlfriend Cheated on Me, so I found Comfort in Having a Relationship with Her Little Sister - Chapter 12
Chapter 12
Yume’s POV
I grew up losing everything to Nee-san.
“Mana-chan is so cute!”
“Mana-chan is so smart!”
“Mana-chan is so athletic!”
“Mana-chan is so sweet!”
Nee-san does everything better than me.
At some point I my life, I start to lose the reason I am living for.
Because, everything that I do, Nee-san can do it better than me.
Even though I tried and worked harder than Nee-san—
“Mana-chan is amazing!”
In the end, Nee-san is always better than me.
That’s why, I’ve decided.
I will live as a worse version of Nee-san for the rest of my life.
I realized that I’m ‘nothing’ compared to her.

Koichi’s POV
It was the spring of my third year of middle school, just as the cherry blossoms were falling—
That was the first time I talked to her, Yume Shirahara. It was raining and I was on my way home from school. Yume was sitting alone on a swing in a park without an umbrella.
“…umm, you are going to catch a cold if you keep sitting here in the rain like this.”
I said so while holding an umbrella over her.
She is in the same middle school uniform as me.
‘What is she doing sitting here alone in the rain without an umbrella?’
I think to myself.
Also, I think that she looked like someone from my grade, but I just shook it off.
“……”
“Hmm?”
“…thank you.”
Her eyes seemed somewhat lonely and sad.
Perhaps, she just broke up with her boyfriend?
Or perhaps, she is being bullied?
…I don’t know.
“You’ll catch a cold if you stay here. Come on, I’ll take you home.”
“No, it’s fine…I’m always like this, sitting on the swing and daydreaming after school. I’m used to getting wet in the rain, but thank you for your concern.”
Well, but still…
“No, no, this is not fine. Come on, stand up.”
“No, it’s okay…there is no place for me in this world after all.”
What a real pain in the ass.
I shouldn’t have talked to her if I knew she would act like this.
But, I have a bad habit that I can’t leave someone alone once I tried to help them.
“What are you talking about? You are not making any sense. Come on.”
She stares at me.
“Hah…well I guess I’ll have to listen to you today.”
“No, no, no, not just for today, you shouldn’t be out here in the rain without an umbrella.”
What a weird girl.
Well, at least I’m glad that I’m able to persuade her to go home.
“Then…”
“Hmm?”
The girl stands up and grabs both of my hands.
Because of it, I accidentally let go of my umbrella.
“Please keep me company…so that I’ll never have to be alone again.”
“Eh? What are you talking about?”
“Well, please come to my house everyday after school. That way, I don’t have to go out here alone in the rain again.”
Eh? Wait a minute?
From now on, I’m going to need to play with this girl, whom I never met before, at her house every day after school!?
But, if I do that, does that mean she will stop coming to the park alone like this?
To be honest, besides catching a cold, there is another reason why she shouldn’t be alone in the park like this.
Because someone as cute as her being alone in the park might attract the attention of kidnappers.
“O-Okay then, I understand. Ah, by the way, I’m Koichi Kuromiya, a third year middle school student. I believe we are in the same school. Nice to meet you.”
“Yes, senpai. I’m Yume Shirahara a second-year student. You are in the same grade as Nee-san, aren’t you?”
Nee-san…?
Hmm, Shirahara…
“Ah, could it be that you are Shirahara Mana’s little sister?”
“Yes, she is my Nee-san.”
Ahh, that’s why I thought she looked like someone in my grade.
That was how I met Shirahara Yume.
