Mob's Yandere!? - Chapter 97- The hunt~1
What does a family do when they get free time together? Well, any other family might go trekking, picnic, or aquarium. However, if the family is filled with hunters and predators, the best way of spending time could be nothing but hunting.
The group of five left the palace without any guards. Although the security chief insisted on taking some soldiers with them, Sufi instantly rejected it since she didn’t want any outsider to be on the trip. Also, having a soldier around wouldn’t have allowed Kei to retain his human form—something he found himself the most comfortable in.
Ryuut and the girls decided to stay in the palace and look around a bit. Well, Ryuuta wanted to join them but Aoi and Sayaka instantly shot down his intentions.
Kaori and Sufi were currently walking with their hands hooked with their beloved. Although Yuna wanted to assert dominance again, she obediently stepped back when Kei gave her ‘that’ look.
Seeing Karen and Yuna sulking, he couldn’t help but sigh and tell them, “On the way back to the palace, you can hold me.” He promised.
Karen smiled instantly hearing that while Yuna pretended to remain aloof—however the way her lips trembled, edging toward a smile, betrayed her demeanour.
Sufi couldn’t help but giggle at the display and say, “They are starved for your attention, my lord. I assumed I was the only one.”
Hearing those words Kei helplessly shook his head and said, “We have a lot of time to spend together. It will take some time for the human realm to get settled and the other realms are currently at peace as well.” He finished with a sense of relief in his voice.
He has been travelling across the realms and has been quite busy with the humans as well for some time now. His role as a guardian had never been tiring…until he fell in love. Now he wants some holidays with his lovers once in a while.
Kaori inched closer to him and her hold on him became firm as she muttered under her breath, “You don’t need to be concerned about them anymore. You have already done a lot for them.”
Kaori’s stern voice signified how pissed she was because of the way humans treated him. They didn’t give him the respect he deserved and even neglected the warning Kei gave before he went inside the planet’s core. And now, they were blaming everything on Kei.
Truly despicable.
Kei wryly laughed and looked around to see if there was someone who could help him to change the topic….however, all he could see was solemnity and scowl on the faces of his wives.
‘Damn…they become synced when it comes to me huh?’ Kei has long discerned that it would take time for his wives to get along with each other—especially Yuna. However, he now has an idea of how he could get them to like each other and settle an argument between them(which surely would occur shortly).
“Ah…” Suddenly Karen halted with her eyes widened and jumped on her feet instinctively to look at her left. Her eyes shone brightly at the presence she felt.
“K-Kei…” It wouldn’t be wrong to say that she was slightly petrified by how swiftly that presence was advancing in their direction with the clear intention of slaughtering everyone.
Kaori was also slightly anxious as she summoned her whip and took a step forward to shield Kei.
Yuna remained indifferent but she didn’t miss the chance to smirk at the overreacting duo. Kei was helplessly trying to calm them down.
Amidst the chaos, the beast appeared. The beast towered over the landscape, a fearsome hybrid of lion, dragon, and eagle, exuding an aura of sheer dominance. Its muscular body was covered in shimmering, obsidian scales that reflected the light like polished armour, while a mane of fiery red fur framed its ferocious, lion-like face.
The eagle-like eyes of the beast focused on the kitsune who walked forward with a casual demeanour.
The beast raised its front paws—aiming to crush Sufi with all its might, however, before it could land the attack, the air rippled and the whole body of the hybrid shook.
With just a flick of her wrist, Sufi unleashed a torrent of energy that surged through the air with lightning speed. The beast, towering and menacing only moments before, had no time to react. The power sliced through its obsidian scales like a hot knife through butter, and in a swift, fluid motion, the creature was shredded into countless pieces. The once intimidating hybrid beast disintegrated before her eyes, its fierce aura dissipating into the ether. As the remnants of the beast scattered to the wind, Sufi stood firm, her eyes gleaming with the quiet, lethal precision of her power.
“Damn!”Karen exclaimed with her eyes parted wide. Kaori was silent but looking at her agape mouth one could discern how shocked she also was.
Yuna narrowed her eyes as she failed to discern what kind of attack it was. Kei seemed to have understood her dilemma as he stated, “Anemokinesis.”
“Oh…she is good at it.” Yuna quietly stated before she turned away and began to walk.
Kei grinned at the tsundere display before he praised his wife, “Nice work, Sufi. I can see that you have progressed a lot.”
She didn’t show any reaction when she obliterated the beast, but when complimented by her husband, Sufi smiled in glee with her eyes turning crescent,
“Thank you, my lord. It’s all thanks to your advice that I have developed so much.”
Karen’s expression sobered up as soon as she saw Kei petting Sufi fondly and the latter enjoying the blissful sensation.
She clenched her fist and swore under her breath, “I will make you praise me too. Won’t lose!”
With such determination, they continued their journey.
This time, the trio—Yuna, Kaori and Karen, had their senses completely devoted to their surroundings, waiting for an opportunity to impress their husband.
*Hissss*
Suddenly, Karen sniffed the scent of blood and without another thought, she lunged toward the prey.
“Karen, no!” Kei exclaimed since the beast was out of her league.
The others sensed the hidden creature for a moment later. And when they turned to look at it…Karen was already restrained.
