Lost and Sunder - Chapter 1
Although Adam was in grief over the loss of his wife, he realised he had to continue on with life to help his 2 children mature into adults, so the first thing he did was to renovate two of the master bedrooms to suit young children. The second thing he did for the children was to name them. The twins who were fraternal twins were named Alexander and Elizebeth respectively, with Alexander being the older twin and Elizebeth being the younger.
Both inherited their mother and father’s talents which were magic and swordsmanship respectively. Albeit Elizebeth had a higher talent in magic and vice versa with swordsmanship, for Alexander and Elizabeth meaning they could, become Magic-Swordsmen or Magic crossbow men in the future.
As they had both these qualities their father, Grand Duke Adam, made sure to nurture them, to the best of his abilities, by giving them proper childcare without their mother. As they had no mother and only had him, Adam went to learn from the nanny on how he should feed them, from learning how to hold a baby to how a baby should be nurtured he learnt it all without being lazy at all when he took these lessons.
He realised taking care of them might not be as easy as he thought, as he struggled early on to even communicate with them, such a headache, he thought..
As he grew in skills in terms of taking care of them, so did his children’s, in a flash of 2 years they had become 7 years old, and had also been taking up swordsmanship and magic courses, the Grand Duke had invited Graham, a 8th tier mage, who was also his friend to teach them.
With him personally teaching them the Nokrov household’s swordsmanship skills.
Both of their talents were so great, that in those 2 years Elizebeth reached the level of a 2nd tier Knight, and a 2nd tier mage while Alexander reached the level of a 3rd half-tier knight and a half 1st tier mage, which for the most part was, already considered a terrifying speed as most children when they were 7, even if they trained since childbirth, would only have the rank of a 2nd Tier Knight Apprentice and for mages a 1st tier Semi-Apprentice, which showed just how monstrous their talents were.
“Daddy!” They both called out in unison to their Father as they approached him. They had thought this out well, as they wanted to follow their dad to work in the imperial palace and see what he did there…
After what had transpired a few years, back, Adam was recalled back, even tho he was recalled back he never forgot about his Wife’s murder. He used all his connections to try his best to find leads or clues on who his wife’s murderer was.
As he realised his 2 children had called out to him he turned around, Alexander had already grown taller, from his previous 145 CM of height, he had grown to become 160 CM. While on the other hand, Elizebeth had only grown to a height of 155 CM albeit her hair had also grown to reach her waist, her hair itself had been tied into a ponytail which, with her silver hair made her look like a small beauty who was glistening under the sun.
His heart immediately turned soft before walking towards them, as he did so he thought about their request carefully, and as he reached them he said, “Sure, I’ll bring you with me as today I only have to do paperwork” although excessive in terms of his reply, he didn’t want to hide anything from both of them.
After their conversation they proceeded to the dining room to enjoy their breakfast, Albert the Butler personally took care of them, which saw to their meals being scrambled eggs with Bacon and syrup a delicious meal choice alongside some baked potatoes and a cup of warm milk to assist in their growth.
As they enjoyed their breakfast, Adam ordered for the carriage to be prepared for them alongside some cushions and extra pillows alongside blankets to make sure his children would be warm and comfortable.
As they finished their meal, the maids immediately came into the dining room to bring the 2 children back to their rooms to dress them up accordingly.
For Alexandar they dressed him with a child-sized suit while for Elizebeth they dressed her with a purple skirt with a bow tied neatly on her head.
