Were they in the same situation as me?

With these thoughts, I asked the king,

“What’s going on? What is a legendary hero?” 

“Well, you see—”

The king’s explanation shocked me. 

Apparently, we had been caught up in a phenomenon known as otherworldly transfer.

The king’s rewards for the heroes were divided among us, which infuriated them.

The distribution was supposed to be fair, but they took 98% while I got 2%. Even that small portion didn’t sit well with them.

They didn’t have the guts to kill a fellow Japanese directly, so they took my equipment and left me behind.

Essentially, they left me to either die from exposure or be eaten by monsters.

And that’s how things have gone so far.

“Damn it…”

In reality, things were pretty bad. I had no food, no gear. 

To make it worse, I kept hearing the howls of White Fangs all around. The sun had set, and it was getting really dangerous. 

I wasn’t even sure I would make it until morning.

Just as I was thinking about what to do, I stumbled upon a clearing in the forest.

“This is surreal.”

It was a lakeside spot in the forest. 

In front of me was a calm lake illuminated by moonlight.  

When I looked up, I saw a sky full of twinkling stars and two moons, making me gasp in awe.
