Living Normally In An Abnormal World - Chapter 86: Invincible Channel
Chapter 86: Invincible Channel
The boy currently achieving the most success in media, Toudou Satoru, has just solidified his position even further with a recent event.
“Um, Agrius-Filia-Brezin. Nice to meet you.”
“Too stiff, Agrius, you’re too stiff.”
“Sorry, it’s my first time.”
Agrius Filia Brezin, a prince from a neighboring kingdom, joined a live stream.
Agrius, known for his appearances in the media, is beloved for his ocean-like eyes and hair, earning him the nickname “The Spirit of the Blue Sea.” It’s well known that Satoru and Agrius are close friends, and seeing the two of them playing together is a treat for fans.
As “The Spirit of the Blue Sea,” Agrius frequently watched Satoru’s videos and live streams during his free time. His favorite streams, in particular, were the ones featuring Yuuto and Satoru together. One day, Agrius asked Satoru if he could join one of their streams, only for Satoru to say he was thinking of inviting him anyway.
And so, they decided to stream together.
Though it was his first time, Agrius was so nervous that his normally expressionless face became even stiffer. Satoru tried to ease the tension, but it was difficult. So, they decided to call Grauser, the comic relief and reaction expert. Satoru fiddled with his phone to summon him.
After several minutes, Grauzer, who normally would be thrown into the room, entered through the door for once.
“Ah, yu… Grauzer.”
“I’m here.”
“Wait, I thought you were supposed to be kidnapped?”
“It’s voluntary today. If Agrius is here, there’s no way I’m not coming.”
“Thanks.”
“Don’t mention it.”
“What about me?”
“Didn’t we just meet yesterday?”
“So casual!”
“Hahaha.”
Satoru’s casual treatment of Grauzer was expected. But this exchange also revealed that Grauzer and Agrius were already acquaintances, and friends.
Now they were unstoppable.
“By the way, I haven’t eaten yet.”
“Then, yu… Grauzer, let’s make okonomiyaki.”
“You still love that, huh, Agrius? Think you can make it better than last time?”
“Yeah, I practiced with my mom.”
“I want monja!”
“Alright, we’ll make both.”
Surprisingly, the first thing they decided to do was have a meal together. Normally, they would do a game stream or chat with fans.
“Wow, you’re much better at flipping it this time.”
“Haha.”
“Grauzer, I want kimchi monja first.”
“Got it. I’m going to cut it roughly, so stand back.”
“Okay.”
“Got it.”
Gzauser quickly chopped the ingredients on the griddle with rough movements. As he stirred the ingredients, the smell of kimchi wafted up, stimulating their appetites. After forming a donut shape, they poured in the broth.
“Satoru, pour in the broth.”
“Got it!”
They repeated the process several times until it was ready.
“Delicious!”
“Satoru, you can have some of my okonomiyaki too.”
“Thanks, Agrius.”
“I’ll cut it up for you.”
“‘Okay!’”
Grauzer, looking like a father, still hadn’t taken a bite of the monja or okonomiyaki.
“Yu… Grauzer, are you gonna eat?”
“Yeah, eat first. I’ll eat later.”
“No.”
“Mmph?! It’s hot! But delicious!”
Agrius, not letting Grauzer put himself last, shoved the hot monja into his mouth. While it may have been an act of kindness, Grauzer, overwhelmed by the heat, clutched his mouth in agony. Once again, the reaction king.
“You okay?”
“Don’t shove monja into my mouth all of a sudden.”
“Sorry.”
“It’s fine… because it’s me…”
After finishing their meal and sharing a few updates…
“By the way, is that rumor true?”
“Hm?”
“That you were at Ricchan’s house.”
“It’s true. I was just hanging out.”
“Hmm.”
“That’s it.”
They touched on the hottest gossip of the moment—Grauzer visiting Ricchan’s house. Grauzer didn’t deny it but shut down the topic with a single sentence. However, the two boys and the viewers, curious about romance, weren’t about to let it end there. They tried to dig deeper, but Grauzer remained tight-lipped, and the topic didn’t go much further.
“What about you two? Don’t you have any fiancées or anything?”
“Huh?”
“What?”
“It wouldn’t be strange if you had one or two.”
“Nope. I’ve seen my mom angrily reject offers over the phone a few times, saying, ‘Please consider the age difference.’”
“Same here.”
“You two are boring because there’s no gossip.”
“That’s your fault, Grauzer.”
“Grauzer just has too many stories.”
“Isn’t there a girl you’re really interested in?”
“Nope.”
“Not really.”
“You’re both so cold.”
Grauzer, full of stories but not willing to share them, and the two boys, who had none to begin with, made for a surprisingly dull romance conversation.
“Speaking of which, Grauzer, you’re close with my mom, right?”
“Yeah, I guess.”
“Maybe you’re aiming for her?”
“What? No way.”
“What’s wrong with my mom!?”
“It’s not like that. There’s nothing wrong with Haruki-san. She’s a wonderful woman. I can say that with confidence.”
“Wow, such confidence. Then you should express your gratitude. My mom’s been feeling down lately. If Grauzer compliments her, I’m sure she’ll feel better.”
“No, it’s… Would a letter suffice?”
Grauzer caved.
Why? Because as he was about to refuse, he noticed the door was slightly open. Standing there was none other than Haruki herself, the very topic of conversation. She looked at him with sad eyes, probably upset by his dismissive attitude despite the compliment.
His final line? It was directed at Haruki. Did anyone realize it?
As the two boys continued gaming, Grauzer quietly poured his heart out in a letter.
It was a strange sight.
As for the contents of the letter? Only Haruki and Grauzer know. One thing is certain, though—when Haruki finished reading it, her face was bright red.
