Chapter 46: Reunion, the Interaction Event

“Thank you for participating again this year, Yuuto-san.”

“No, Shiori-san. Don’t worry about it.”

Last year, I participated in the Interaction Event. As expected, Hayashi-san, who wanted me to participate again on the next Interaction Event, contacted me.

It was irresponsible of me to actually accept it the first time. But since I couldn’t just ignore it and leave it at that, I decided to participate again this year. However, I made it a condition that the venue would not be Saint Athena Academy.

Surprisingly, Maria, Erina, Mana, and Yuuna are not here this time.

Probably because Shiori-san is here, huh?

“I understand your worries. Although This time, I’ll be the one taking care of you, so rest assured.”

“Yes, Yaya-chan and… Hanaka-san are here too afterall.”

“Well, Hanaka-san isn’t really a bad child.”

As I turn around, I feel a chill down my spine.

I look around, but no one is there. However, and so I heightened my guard.

“Long time no see, Yuuto-sama!”

But it’s all in vain, as Hanaka suddenly hugs me from behind and rubs her cheek against mine.

“Hanaka-san, sexually harassing Yuuto-sama is an unforgivable act, you know?”

I quickly peeled Hanaka-san off my back. However, after peeling her off, she was suddenly hit by an iron claw.

“That hurt! But this is our way of greeting each other, Auntie! It’s our way of saying hello!”

“I won’t allow it because even I am unable to do that!.”

“That’s just because you’re shy… uh! That hurt desuwa!”

“Ara-ara~, did you say something?”

“I, I didn’t say anything!”

…Uwah, that looks painful, so please cut her some slack?

Like seriously, i’ve been hearing the sound mishi mishi from Hanaka-san’s head, so it must really hurt.

“Yuuto-sama.”

“Ah, Yaya-chan. Hello.”

“N, hello.”

We exchange greetings, and Yaya-chan takes my right hand and stands next to me.

I glance at Yaya-chan and notice that she’s wearing the cherry blossom hairpin I gave her as a present at the competition.

I’m glad you like it.

“Ah, that’s unfair, Yaya-chan-san! I also want to hold Yuuto-san’s hand too”

Hanaka-san, who was just released by Shiori-san, said those words of jealousy.

“Hanaka-san, you’re causing too much trouble for Yuuto-sama. Be a little more considerate.”

“That’s not true! I have quite the good relationship with Yuuto-sama too! Right, Yuuto-sama?”

“Eh, ah, yeah, that’s right.”

Honestly, I can only give a bitter smile.

“Yuuto-sama is giving a bitter smile. Hanaka-san is causing problems for Yuuto-sama.”

“Well, I mean if you’re just going to hug me from behind, I don’t have much problem with it.”

“Well, wouldn’t it be better if she at least made a heads-up before doing the act?”

Yep, it is indeed troubling if she will do it so suddenly everytime. If she made a heads-up, it should be… fine?

“I shall do so next time.”

Ah I just dug my own grave.

“Yuuto-san, it’s about time. Let’s go?”

“All right.”

Shiori-san and I then head towards the venue. At that moment, I’m holding a chair that was nearby.

As I hear this announcement upon arriving at the venue, I sit down on the chair I’m holding.

“…… Yuuto-sama, what are you doing?”

“Hmm? Can’t you see from my current state? I’m about to be kidnapped.”

I hear footsteps similar to the ones from last year.

I look around, and from all directions, young ladies and women from noble families are approaching me.

Then, they pick up the chair I’m sitting on and carry me away.

I told the three before being sprung off to who knows where.

Yaya, come here right away, I’ll carry you! Hanaka-san, we’re going after them immediately!

“Okay!”

“I understand!”

Ah, they’re chasing after me.

“Uhm, can you please slow down for a bit?”

“I’m afraid that’s impossible, desuwa”

“The Yamazaki family was enjoying your company for quite a while, so of course we won’t allow you to any further!”

I wonder if I should do a prince-style carry these times as well.

“The only one accompanying you in this Interaction Event is Shiori? You know I wouldn’t allow such a thing, right?”

When Erina heard that he would be attending the exchange meeting again, she naturally intended to join and ensure his safety. However, Shiori told her that this time it would just be him and the Yamazaki family that would attend the Interaction Event besides the students.

At the day of the Interaction Event, due to some work related reasons, Mana won’t be able to come with him, and along with that, Yuuna would also not be allowed to come.

And that’s why the other possible participants would be Erina and Maria.

“Araa~? Here I thought who it would be, but if it isn’t that woman who monopolized Yuuto-san for 1 whole month. I can’t believe such words would come out of someone like that.”

While they may have formed an “alliance”, there’s still some sense of rivalry between the two families, so the two heads, still butt heads with each other.

The cause of their rivalry, or their family, to begin with, was that their respective ancestors fought over the same man. Both refused to share and passionately pursued him, sometimes even sabotaging each other. However, in the end, both were rejected, and they blamed each other for it.

Ever since then, the two families have been rivals.

But in actuality, both Shiori and Erina doesn’t really care about that. But ever since they were young, they were told by their parents that the other person is a bad person, which led to them having a mindset that they are rivals, leading to their current relationship being so.

“Was it really necessary for him to train so much?”

“……..”

“Even though you care about him so much, you made him train so hard that it made him puke.”

“That’s…”

“Did you really do it with him in mind?”

With the relentless scolding of Shiori, Erina couldn’t say anything back.

Erina herself understood how harsh the training he was taking from her. But, the person who wanted her to continue despite being so, was the person being trained himself, Yuuto. And she had no heart to turn him down.

But she was still worried.

She thought that he might resent her for being so harsh on him, to not showing kindness to him despite the rigorous training that she gives him. But even so, after completing the training, to the point where he couldn’t even speak anymore, the look he had on his face wasn’t that of wanting to rest nor quit,

“What do I do next?”

He was eager for the next training.

That’s why Erina was thoroughly strict. To prevent any injuries to his legs, she always had the medical staff from the Tachibana family on hand, ready to stop the training immediately and conduct a detailed examination if anything unusual occurred.

In the end, nothing critical ever happened. The medical staff was relieved that there were no abnormalities, but they were also disappointed that they didn’t get to talk to him.

“Of course, I did it for Yuuto’s sake, with him in mind. Well, I doubt someone like you, who isn’t even wanted by Yuuto, would understand.”

“Well I guess I’ll let you have him for that day. Just don’t confine him.”

And that ends the conversation regarding the Interaction Event between the two.

I was carried off by the young ladies, and just like a year ago, I ended up doing something like a handshake event.

At this point, I can’t help but think that I might have become their idol. No, I guess I really am an idol.

I’ll probably be called to come on Saint Athens Academy again sometime in the future.

But,

“I am truly pleased to have met you today!”

“Thank you very much. I am pleased to hear those words from you.”

Seeing the girls and women who come to convey their gratitude with beaming smiles, I feel glad that I came.

“We’ve finally caught up with you.”

I saw the figures of Shiori-san, Yaya-chan and Hanaka-san. I have truly caused them quite the trouble, I feel bad about it.

When the three approached me, the ojousama’s, made a wall and blocked them from coming near.

“Ara~ What is the meaning of this~?”

“We don’t know how you came to know Yuuto-sama, but this time, we are his priority.”

“..Is that so~? But we’re here to accompany Yuuto-san, we are to protect him. And I am pretty sure that you girls, who have tried to kidnap him, are something of a problem that we need to take care of, am I right?”

Shiori-san speaks with an intimidating tone. Since what Shiori-san said was completely reasonable, the young ladies who were blocking the way couldn’t say anything in response. Gradually, they cleared the path and allowed Shiori-san and the others to pass.

“Also Yuuto-san, if you knew you were about to be kidnapped, couldn’t you have made a much more earlier heads-up?”

“Well that’s true.”

Shiori then thought,

(Even though he was just kidnapped by those girls, he doesn’t seem to mind it. He really is quite lenient with women.)

“What’s wrong, Shiori-san?”

“It’s nothing.”

(Even that man-hating Erina turned into a maiden in love… I wonder what kind of life will you end up living in the future? I’ll be sure to thoroughly watch over it.)

“I am looking forward to our time together from now on.”

“Yes, I am looking forward to it too, as a good friend of mine.”
