Lich reborn as a magic school student - 8: A Goal
After my meal I finish the talks with Bluefang. He gave me enough money to last me for half a year and took the gem to be appraised for its value. I walk the streets as I let the scenery take up my mind. I notice something, that girl again. Someone is trying to flirt with her. I undo my disguise spell and walk towards her and then speak
“Hey. You know this person?”
Before she can answer, the person who was trying to flirt with her says “Eh, boss?”
Both me and the girl look confused. The man continues, “I’m so sorry, boss. I didn’t realize she was with you.”
Hmm? Who is this person? ‘boss’ that means I am in a superior position. He doesn’t seem to be a mage, and I notice it. A tattoo on his arm, one that I recognize as the gangsters under Bluefang had one like that as well. I understand, so Bluefang has told people about me.
“You may go.” I speak, wanting to end this encounter.
The man right away walks away.
“Who are you?” The girl asks me with a suspicious gaze. Why? Isn’t she the same girl who helped me?
“Don’t you remember me? I am Kashra,” I say back.
“No, I know that, but how do you have contact with people like that, and he called you ‘boss’ didn’t he? Don’t tell me, are you a gang leader?” She barrages me with rapid-fire questions. Oh, that’s what she was curious about.
“I beat up a well-known gangster around here, and now they pay respects to me.” I say as matter-of-factly as possible.
“Eh, were you hiding your strength? I remember from the last practical test, you couldn’t even get a passing grade.” She seems even more suspicious of me now.
“I don’t hide,” I respond. For it would be shameful for the archmage of Vutia to hide. In fact, during our delves within the catacombs of Kolrock and the spires of Varlar Sagard, my companion wanted to approach them in stealth, but my pride would not allow such a thing.
“Then you’ve become this strong in only three months.” She looks at me even more suspiciously.
“It only took me 2 days.” This is true as I entered this world 2 days ago.
She narrows her eyes. “It feels like you’re lying.”
“It is up to you to decide whether to believe me.”
“Mysterious. You approached me. When you were distant from everyone before. It’s as if you’ve become a new person.” She mutters while trying to think of something.
“That is correct. I am a new person.” I don’t plan to hide anything. Even if I reveal I am the demon lord who dominated another world, there’s nothing humanity can do. I am the strongest mage in this world.
“You have an odd sense of humor. Ah, but I have to go now.”
“Then see you at school.”
“Yeah, see you at school”
I continue my walk. The destination being the library. While magical knowledge, this civilization is way beneath me. I don’t know of their political structure. I walk through the streets, finding myself at my destination without anymore delay.
By looking through historical, political, economic, and religious texts, I find this world seems to be infatuated with a governmental form called ‘democracy’. No monarch to reign over the people in recent history. The current nation I am in is the sixth largest economically in the world, but in landmass it is small.
I commit the information to my mind. However, I do not really care about it. Even if all the nations of this world were to band together, they could not defeat even one of my subjects. The strongest mage of this world who dares even claim the title of archmage is a mere 7 Tier mage.
What I find more interesting is the appearance of magic. They describe it stating that 63 years ago people with magical ability slowly started turning up, and then 50 years ago portals summoning forth other worldly monsters appeared. This. Isn’t this demon world manifestation?
The process of a demon lord invading a world is often called ‘demon world manifestation’ as they literally conjure a part of hell into the world they’re trying to invade to use as a gateway for their own appearance. But for a demon lord to take 63 years and not even be complete must mean that they’re both powerful and inexperienced.
I do not know of such a demon lord. Within the ten strongest, I can confirm the experience of the bottom seven, but the top three have remained hidden for millennia. Could it be one of them? If that were to be the case, my life in this world could become quite hard.
If one of the three strongest demon lords is, in fact, trying to manifest in this world, I should prepare. Recreate both my equipment and armies in this world. My equipment will require me to complete my demon lord transformation, but for the armies, I can develop worthy allies for now.
The spirit caster is a natural talent, and if he listens to my advice, he will quickly grow to become a Tier 3 mage within a couple of months. That girl I didn’t check her magical ability, but I still feel inclined to develop her strength. Bluefang is a special case. As I have a slight interest in researching lycanthropes for while I have encountered them previously, I have not fully analyzed their strengths and weaknesses.
Ah, this is it. This feeling. Desire to do something. I quickly set my magic to motion. The spell which I used seven centuries ago [Mental State Suspension]. The curse enchantment which locks the gears in my mind in place takes effect. This want to achieve something won’t go out of my head. I will face whatever demon lord is approaching head on.

I finish receiving the report, and right away burst out in laughter. “I knew it. You wouldn’t die so easily. I guess Azurfar was speaking the truth, after all…”
“You’re out there right ‘Dominator of the Heart’”
