Let me be a mob! - Chapter 97- Thank you~
There were three stages of the legendary weapon Jin uses. The first stage—Gleipnir was the bindings that shackle the true power of the real form.
If unleashed the second form, Jin would acquire the power of lightning with which he could create shock waves with each impact of his massive axes. The third stage would allow him to become a thunder-cladding warrior who would be able to manipulate gravity.
The first stage only grants him a brutal slicing force with the ability to cut through any kind of magical attack and physical barrier up to a certain limit.
Initially, Jin wasn’t strong enough to wield the weapon for more than mere seconds, considering his physical capabilities which ranked only [D-]. But now things have changed.
Over time, after battling with that Illusion monkey in the jungle, the bastard vice president, and that demon monarch in the dungeon city, added the training Amanda assigned him, Jin has reached [C+], standing on the threshold to become a B-rank in merely his first six months of first year.
Even some of the students who graduate from the Academy don’t gain such a rank, how much they grind.
With his current rank, Jin could have summoned the second stage—Dhepneir and retaliate that last assault Aiden pulled.
However, Jin refrained from such an attempt. His goal was something else and after seeing Aiden utilizing all his attributes and calling forth the heavenly weapon, Excalibur, Jin knew his motive to rile Aiden up was fulfilled.

“Are you alright now?” As Jin groggily straightened his back and supported himself on the headboard of the bed, he heard a familiar voice from his right.
Violet eyes were fixated on him with a tinge of concern and a whole lot of complaints blended in them.
Inside the room, only Jin and Lisa were present for some reason, but Jin didn’t focus on that for now.
“Yeah, somehow.” Jin took the vial of water Lisa extended before gulping it down at a moderate pace.
At the end of that memorable battle between the strongest freshmen, the winner was declared to be the one who was standing until the end. And that person was not Jin.
Everyone clapped and cheered on Aiden’s victory since most of them were aware of the reason for this battle. In their perception, Jin behaved arrogantly and said some extremely harsh words about Rena, so he became a villain in their eyes.
And whatever a bad guy gets beaten up, people get elated.
Well, not like it mattered to Jin, how people thought about him. What made him concerned was this teacher who was looking at him with a frown and seemingly prepared to say a bunch of things.
“Before you say anything, Professor I would like to-”
“I am not here to scold you, Jin. Fiona would be enough for that.”
Jin raised his brows in surprise for both reasons, but he didn’t interrupt her and nodded for her to continue.
“I know that what you did was for Aiden’s good and to help him grow over his past trauma…but considering you have plans to form a team with him, won’t this little battle of you two prove to be counterproductive?”
What Lisa said was true and something Jin also was slightly worried about before he accepted the battle with Rena in the morning, but at the end of the day, he wants Aiden to become stronger more than anything else.
Regardless of what his daughter told Jin, it was necessary for Aiden to become a strong pillar who could stand against the Monarch of Darkness. Jin might become a Spirit Lord in the future but until that point, he would need some reliable allies on whom Jin could leave his back.
Not to forget that the beings watching all of these from the heavens have chosen Aiden, not Jin to be the protector of this world so it was given that the protagonist would have to become better and stronger than anyone else.
After remaining silent for a bit, Jin decided to let her know his genuine thoughts on the matter, “Professor Lisa…I think you do know about Aiden’s past and why he never uses his other attributes, right?”
With her brows elevating, Lisa questioned back, “Did he tell you as well?”
Lisa came to know about Aiden’s situation since she had taken the responsibility for taking care of the special student, at the time when it was discovered that someone actually possessed more than one attribute of light.
Aiden told her everything at the start of the academic year and that was the reason why Lisa never forced Aiden to work on his other four attributes.
“Don’t tell him but I know about his past. Just some connections.” Lisa narrowed her eyes at the response but she didn’t pry into it.
Sensing the silence from her as a cue to continue, Jin proceeded, “With such a traumatic past, do you think anything other than a provocation and serious insult to the woman he likes, could have been able to pull him out of his shell? Well, there might be a chance that Aiden might not form a team with me…or to say, he might stop talking to me altogether. However, I do not regret a single thing about this incident.”
Lisa took a long pause hearing such bold and mature words from a teenager.
It was true that with such severe trauma Aiden had, it might have taken a lot from him to even consider operating to the full extent of his powers. But after the spar they had, it was given that Aiden must have grown a little confident in controlling his powers.
Lisa allowed her shoulders to relax a little upon hearing the words from Jin which indicated that he still was the same. Blunt and considerate.
“Well, I just hope when you two meet again, Aiden doesn’t summon his weapon and pounce on you.”
With a smirk, the lady got up from her seat before she began heading toward the exit.
Just as she was about to walk out, Lisa turned to look at Jin over her shoulder and relayed some words of advice, “Oh, and, you should pretend to be a little weak from the battle, for the time being.”
Jin realized the meaning behind her words when he saw a certain pair of silver and blond hair dashing inside the room.

“I think you should lay down for a bit longer.” Aiden was surprised to hear that voice before he turned his head to see a familiar short-haired girl sitting beside the bed.
After the battle, when exhaustion kicked in, Aiden fell unconscious and was brought to the infirmary, unlike Jin, who was taken to his room. The reason behind such an arrangement was apparent because the administration thought, that once the two regained their consciousness, they might continue their battle.
“Why are you roaming around, Rena? You should be resting right now!” Aiden scolded the girl who still had a bandage around her abdomen and visible wounds over her face.
The healers operate periodically to not overload someone with the effect of magical medication which could decrease the natural self-regenerative pace of a person.
“Not like you are the one who can say that.” Rena retaliated with her index finger poking Aiden’s ribs, receiving a hiss from the latter.
“Okay, okay. Stop it, now.” Rena giggled and pulled her hand away.
Strangely, both of them fell silent after that. Their eyes were aligned but no words traveled for a quite bit between them. However, neither of them felt the atmosphere to be heavy or anything.
After a few minutes, Rena got up from her seat leaned down, and planted a soft kiss on Aiden’s cheeks with a whisper following soon after, “Thank you for fighting for my honor. I appreciate that.”
Whether it was out of pure embarrassment or she wanted to rest, Rena immediately dashed away from the compartment, leaving a numb Aiden behind.
Feeling the warmth still over his cheek, Aiden slowly brought his arm to cover his eyes, and a soft smile spread over his lips.
“Never knew she could make such an expression…”
Today was a memorable day for Aiden.
