Let me be a mob! - Chapter 92- Dense?
Jin is my student..was what Amanda intended to say but for some reason, the word ‘student’ never escaped her throat which gave the impression that she was claiming Jin for herself which assumably derives from her romantic feelings for the boy.
Everyone in the office room froze before Jin tried to pacify the situation since he was the only one who understood the true meaning behind Amanda’s words, “Ah, Senior Amanda is already teaching me some of the advanced sword techniques so I won’t be needing any more tutoring than this. Thank you for the offer, Professor. ”
Jin slightly bowed in apology and gratitude toward the blue-haired lady who was twirling the frills of her curly hair with a suggestive look. She could be regarded as a true trouble creator and someone whom Jin dearly wants to avoid.
“I understand your point and I accept the fact that student Amanda is probably the strongest student of the academy but would she be able to teach you with the same fluency as a true instructor could? Sometimes just being strong isn’t the key to learning something new and effective, Jin. ”
Lisa voiced her thoughts without being bothered by the intimidating gaze Amanda currently wore. The S-rank ex-huntress cared nothing more than her students’ safety regardless of who they were. And to prepare Jin for the unpredictable future, she needs to ensure he gets to learn from the best.
Hearing Lisa’s reasoning, Jin seemed troubled for a bit. He didn’t want to reveal the secret sword art only Amanda could teach him but without revealing that, there didn’t seem any other way he could convince the professors.
While he was thrown into a fit of contemplation, suddenly the girl beside him spoke up,
“Just a week…and Jin would prove how he only needs my instruction. I dare say that within one week he would become stronger than any other student amongst his bachmates and prove to be worthy of being called my student. It’s not my ego but rather the trust I carry in my skills and teaching abilities. ”
Tone down that arrogance a little, would you…was what Jin wanted to ask from Amanda hearing such words of courage she threw at the teachers so confidently.
And the person she was betting her reputation on was someone she had only a few weeks ago. It was too out of character for her, Jin noted.
“Hmm…then double examination is it…Surely then, I along with Professor Brian and Professor Sasha would be present to see the progress in Jin. If Jin comes out on the mark then you can continue to tutor him otherwise….” Lisa didn’t need to continue since Amanda understood the implications of failure.
Without a second thought, Amanda nodded, completely ignoring how violently Jin’s expressions were shifting.
“And as for Aiden then I would personally tutor him starting today. Don’t disappoint me Aiden~” Lisa’s sadistic declaration made the raven-haired gulp as he stiffly nodded.
Soon the three were discharged from the headmaster’s office as they walked down the stairs that led to the main campus.
“Why did you do that, Senior? I could have convinced them someh-” Naturally, Jin didn’t seem all fine with this arrangement. But his complaint was soon interrupted as Amanda turned to look at him with seriousness blended in her gaze.
“Do you trust me, Jin?”
A bit hesitant, Jin nodded his head in assent before her expression softened up a bit, making Aiden surprised since every time he had come across the President of the student council, he had only seen the aloof or solemn side.
With barely visible yet evident traces of a smile tugging at her fluffy lips, Amanda assured him, “Then leave it to me. I must train you to become the best. Just allow yourself to rely on me more and I would let those Professors know why I am the only one for you. ”
‘Phrasing…’ Aiden sighed hearing the misleading words of the senior before they both saw Amanda darting away in a flash.
Left alone on stairs both boys kept on looking at the spot where Amanda stood a moment ago as soon Aiden spoke in a low tone, “She’s kinda cool and weird at the same time. You sure she isn’t in love with you?”
Jin raised his brows before turning to look at the protagonist before he asked in a tone of mockery, “It’s surprising to hear words like love and romance from such a dense guy like you.”
“What do you mean?” Aiden frowned in confusion.
Jin thought about it but in the end, he decided that the plot was already ruined beyond repair so no harm in spoiling some information here.
“I mean…have you noticed why despite being requested by so many a certain someone only trains with you every day? ”
It didn’t take long before Aiden said a name, “Rena?”
They began to descend the stairs as Aiden remained silent for a good while. Jin was grinning from ear to ear by developing the romance of the main leads all of a sudden.
“But…Rena is a beautiful girl…she’s talented as well and not to talk about her background…for someone like her… ”
Jin sighed with a shake of his head before he halted his steps and took hold of Aiden’s shoulders, making the latter startled.
“Aiden, listen…”Aiden nodded in all seriousness upon finding Jin’s intense gaze before Jin continued, “Be more confident in yourself.”
With that, Jin left Aiden away.
Aiden remained frozen at his place with a frown never leaving his face as he contemplated things about Rena and her behavior toward him.
Indeed Aiden found Rena quite beautiful and her outgoing personality was a part of her charm. Added the fact that both of them tended to train until exhausted makes Rena pretty compatible with-
‘No, no, no!! What am I thinking.’
Aiden wasn’t really prepared to think about the relationship when he didn’t actually deserve the lady. Surely Rena has shown favorable behavior toward him but that doesn’t mean anything.
‘Someone like me…’ Gazing at his hand and remembering the things he had caused in the past, Aiden disregarded all the thoughts Jin instilled in him.
Some intense training and he would forget about everything.

After parting ways with Aiden, Jin made his way to the dorm after crossing the campus grounds.
Many people came across him and since he has gained some popularity these days many greeted him on the way. Despite the fact he generally doesn’t like associating with people much, thanks to the regular interactions he had with his close friends that Jin was able to respond to people in a not-so-awkward manner.
‘Hmm…what shall I do… ‘ Initially he planned to sleep for some more hours since he was quite tired of the journey and everything happening recently. But now that he was completely awake thanks to Amanda and her commitment just now, Jin thought about grabbing breakfast in the cafeteria.
Just as he was about to change the course of his route, someone approached him from behind.
“Jin Carter. ” Looking toward the tall man who wore the uniform of security, Jin was about to ask what was the matter when the man’s following words made Jin speechless.
“Someone from your family has come to meet you. Follow me to the administrator’s office. ”
