Let me be a mob! - Chapter 82- I am f---ed up...
Jin was getting a hang of hunting with his eyes closed. He admits that it was incredibly tough and painful to use his skills while being completely blinded but when the first prey was caught in his trap, Jin knew he could do more.
His first hunt was an F-rank Bone squirrel, which tends to live in holes and under the ground. Their teeth are strong enough to break a human bone and unlike the normal squirrels, these creatures were omnivores.
Jin didn’t have a rough time locating the creature but since it had the agility to move a meter per second, it grew ugly when Jin tried targeting the creature with a Spiritual attack.
It took some time but Jin was able to lift his trophy in hand and extract the marble-shaped mana stone from the head of the dead squirrel.
After that, he advanced forward and soon found a group of three E-rank three fanged serpents whose movements were agile but predictable.
Using the wind spirits, Jin pinpointed the there mana presence and the location they would end up after Jin finishes conjuring the spell. The mana circle did the work and the three reptiles were already in the air before they could have moved past eight meters.
Jin believed his senses and using his dagger he levitated toward the hunt and bisected them in a clean slash.
All while his eyes were literally blindfolded.
From behind, Amanda and Fiona were intently keeping an eye on Jin while watching him with a complicated gaze. Fiona was just purely admiring the sight and wondering how long it would take for her to reach there. And on the other side, Amanda seemed to be feeling proud at the display of her student who was performing way better than she initially expected.
The third girl from the third year, Eimi was listlessly walking around while chatting with any group that came across and informing them what antic Jin was displaying with his eyes covered.
Most of those who heard about the training Jin was put under, sneered or made fun of him. But there were those as well who were stunned and praised Jin for his dedication.
Regardless, Eimi was sure that they weren’t going to win this round at all since where the other groups have more than three pouches of mana stones, an average of fifty in each one of them, the group led by Amanda only had eight so far.
Eimi doesn’t blame Jin for that since under the circumstances, even she would have a hard time hunting the beasts. She does take pride in her mana detection but without her primary sense of vision, it surely would be inconvenient.
“Ah…this one is big… ” Every foot came to a halt since everyone in the group sensed the incoming beast who possessed a presence on par with D- rank.
Since there were no small fries around meant that this beast was probably the ruler of this region. Those claw marks on the rocks support the previous statement.
Fiona looked anxious since this was going to be tough for Jin. The chances for him to get injured were highly probable and if the worse came to occur…
“I have got his back. Don’t be nervous… “A soothing and calm voice arrived from her right before Fiona turned to look at Amanda who has her hand resting over the hilt of her blade.
Despite sounding composed, Fiona could tell that Amanda was on guard and that determined gaze assured Fiona more than her words could have.
Eimi silently whistled at how attentive the Council President seemed toward the guy before she as well, focused her eyes on the incoming beast.

[Jin’s POV: ]
**GHOOOOOUH**
The roar and the amount of mana I was feeling from this beast made me sure that I was facing a Wild Saber Tooth Bear that has appeared since we might have walked in his territory.
I wasn’t sure whether the creature has evolved by now or not so I need to be wary of his innate skill of Berserk.
Its size mostly reaches eight feet and weighs over four hundred kilograms yet the bear tends to be agile on its paws and its jaws strong enough to crush a skull.
I could feel the intense blood lust from the creature who approximately standing fifteen meters away from me. Despite being agitated these creatures tend to have a stable battle strategy and allow their opponent to make the move first.
‘Though entering its territory should have been marked as the first move, but well.’
I was not going to close in on that creature by any means since I have never fought a bear before to know its basic body structure and where should put my strength. With my eyesight blocked, I couldn’t risk nearing the beast more than this.
“@&#&@&@&&#-#&#%%@”
Summoning the water spirits I conjured three mana circles from either side and from behind the bear. The two-meter-long icicle spear would be enough to skewer the creature.
Without my single finger moving I targeted the bear with my mind playing an active role in deciding the trajectory of the attack.
It might sound easy but conjuring the attack and deciding its speed, trajectory, and destination takes a lot on one’s brain. And more when I have to do it consciously while just relying on my mana observation.
Releasing the spears, I braced myself since as I thought, the bear surely sensed the incoming danger and the only direction he could charge was in my direction.
Within seconds he was already mere two feet apart from me when I immediately leaped back and threw the dagger in my hand toward the beast.
**GUOOOOH**
A fierce cry rang out signifying that my attack has landed as my feet once again touched the ground, when suddenly…
*RUMBLE*
“Ah!” I exclaimed since just as when my feet touched the ground the surface began shaking. As it seems, with the previous roar the bear has slammed both of its massive arms on the ground which threw me off guard.
I barely was able to keep my feet steady on the ground with my senses trained toward the immobile bear.
From what I could observe it wasn’t moving but I forgot that the bear doesn’t only need to rely on its body to attack me.
*DHAK*
“Agh”
My head was hit with something rocky and hard, probably a small boulder before I fell to the ground. I didn’t have any time to leap away or block the attack which resulted in my current situation.
It only took me two seconds to once again refocus my senses toward the beast but I was too late.
**GRUUUUUUOOOOHHH**
With a loud cry, I sensed the overwhelming presence just above me. And in that moment I realized how fucked up I was.
‘This is so gonna hurt…’
