Let me be a mob! - Chapter 75- Aiden\'s responsibility!
Aiden was at a loss.
He was barely holding himself from breaking down, after witnessing the scene that no one would ever want to come across.
The raven-haired has only spent over a month with his friends but it doesn’t change the fact that finding them dead would leave him shocked beyond belief.
He was only able to hold himself together just because Jin said something about time reversal and that he could save everyone.
Aiden was relieved to see that Jin was also troubled to find people he cares about in such a condition since if not Aiden might have considered Jin as an impostor in human skin.
“What’s your plan?”
After his initial exclamation upon seeing his friends and professors like this, it was the first time that Aiden spoke.
The atmosphere was heavy between the two teenagers. Neither of them knew such an outcome would turn out just because they were engaged in their respective ideals.
Jin didn’t have to ponder what to say since he had already formulated a plan at the time when he was on his way to call Aiden.
“I would reverse the time by an hour, Aiden. But since my proficiency with Time Spirits is the lowest, I would be pushed near-dead state. At that time, I need you to apprehend the Demon possessing Phil. ”
Aiden was slightly taken aback to hear that Jin would have to push himself that much, but then again, having such an ultimate weapon as time reversal surely would come with a side effect.
What made Aiden genuinely surprised was the fact that Jin was entrusting his own life to Aiden’s hands.
Surely, Aiden was not going to disappoint him in return.
“And when I do capture that bastard demon I would surely kill-”
“No, Aiden, you won’t kill him. ”
Aiden frowned and jerked his head in Jin’s direction, his brows urging the latter to explain.
Jin complied and spoke about the reason, “Killing that demon would immediately sever the connection he carries with this mortal body of Phil resulting that everyone who’s under his spell might never return to reality. From what I know, if the demon terminates his contract and gets his contract terminated unwillingly then he would never release his spell but if he wants to voluntarily discontinue the contract with Phil then he has to end his spell.”
“Human language, please. ” Aiden requested since more than half of it, Aiden actually never heard as he was engaged in discerning the first half.
Jin with a sigh, summarize his motive: “If we kill Phil and the demon gets expelled from this world forcibly then this illusion would never end so we have to torture him brutally so the demon willingly leaves Phil, only after he releases everyone out of his spell.”
Now Aiden understood what Jin was trying to say. He had to apprehend the demon not to kill him immediately or everyone would fall into comatose.
However, something was troubling him…
“Jin…torturing the demon means we have to inflict wounds on his soul since physically damaging him would mean harming Phil, no? ”
“Right, and that’s why I want you to use your Holy Magic on the demon since that thing is practically intolerable acid for the Dark energy users.”
Separating the fact that Jin knows these many things about Aiden and Demons there was something that troubled Aiden as a frown shadowed his eyes.
Jin understood the reason for such a reaction which brought up his following words.
“You have to do this, Aiden, or I, Rena, Silvie, and everyone will die tonight. Just believe in yourself and we will get this through. ”
The weight of a single arm over his shoulder has never felt this heavy before for Aiden. The responsibilities were extreme to undertake but Aiden has to thicken his resolve if he wants to save his friends.
Aiden firmly nodded with his eyes brimming with determination.
Jin patted his shoulder before Aiden saw him distancing himself a little before he sat down on the bloodied floor.
“Hold my shoulder, Aiden so you won’t be affected by the time reversal. “Aiden did as told before he saw Jin going into deep mediation.
A series of unidentifiable words leaked out of his lips, something Aiden have heard Jin saying before as well. It was the spiritual tongue which apparently Aiden doesn’t understand.
Aiden remained vigilant of his surroundings when a spectacle worth feeling awed began transiting.
A grey-white aura surrounded both Aiden and Jin before the surrounding seemed like paused in real-time. Even the sound of blood dripping halted like everything in this room was separated from the passage of time.
‘Damn… ‘ Aiden could have reacted a better way but the astonishment by the spectacle allowed his mind to utter only that.
The reason for his reaction originates from the changing scene in the room. All the blood and gore reverted to their respective owners and everyone who just a moment ago was dead was now standing once again in the position of a statue.
But that effect of reversal influenced Phil’s bisected body as well, reverting him to life. Aiden braced himself, blood boiling in anger and a dagger held in his tight clutch.
The very moment the aura faded surrounding the two, Aiden launched himself toward the bastard demon who was near the staircase, ascending with a knife in his hand.
Aiden’s vision blurred and within seconds he was beside Phil before he sliced his dagger and cut off the hand with which Phil was holding the weapon.
“Hehhh-Who-khakk!!”
Before the demon could shout or ask who Aiden was, the latter jabbed his elbow right into the impostor’s abdomen. The force held Aiden’s anger which made Phil kneel on the ground in agony. The arm which Aiden separated was soon healed up through the Dark Magic Phil’s body now possesses.
Holding the other arm of the demon, Aiden locked it behind the bastard’s back before Aiden pushed him down the ground with the demon’s face smashed against the ground.
“Now let’s examine a demon’s tolerance…”
