Let me be a mob! - Chapter 70- Don\'t worry...
*Knock*
It was around lunchtime when Jin heard a knock on his door.
He already rested enough and ate a grand feast thanks to the hospitality provided by the school. After putting his textbooks and his diary inside the bag he sighed and went toward the door, already aware of the person standing on the other side.
“Come in.”
Jin invited the silver-haired maiden inside before she could have said anything. Fiona was startled by his nonchalant behavior but since she needed to sort some of the things out, she walked inside.
Jin also got in and was about to offer Fiona a chair when suddenly she raised the query she was anxious about since morning.
“Why were you carrying Silvie?” Despite Fiona telling herself again and again to take the conversation smoothly and ask him indirectly, the impulse took over right off the bat and here she was standing like a demanding girl, even though their relationship had no true meaning.
Jin remained silent for a bit, studying her expression. He no longer feels surprised to see this side of Fiona which was unknown to the rest of the world. Even in the canon event, she emerged like a kuudere character who majorly remained cold toward others, and even around Aiden, she was an impassive lover who didn’t show her inner self much. It was such traits of hers that granted her the top position in the audience poll for the favorite heroine for straight three months.
Pulling himself back to reality, Jin answered truthfully, “She was exhausted by the constant use of her spell.” Jin wondered whether now she would ask him about last night or why the Vice-President was chained up, but against his expectation, she remained constant on the topic.
“So can you carry any girl who’s your friend?”
“If the situation arises then yeah, but with an exception and that is you.”
Fiona blinked before frowning as she asked, “So…you can hold anyone other than m-me?” Jin might be imagining things but Fiona seemed to be a little shaky when she said those words. Even her words were not entirely concrete and rigid like always, rather she seemed emotionally unstable.
Jin shook his head before he cleared out the misunderstanding, “Exception because you are not my friend so my treatment for you might get a little different. ”
It took some time for Fiona to comprehend his words before she sobbingly asked, “I-I am not your friend…?” Maybe she was hoping a lot but there was no crime to wish for something more from Jin.
And true to her wishes, Jin responded as he grew a little closer, “Do you think after you confessed, we can remain only as friends?”
His manly fragrance flared in her senses elevating Fiona’s heartbeat, passing each second. Her ears already began to turn red, her mind able to think about nothing but the person in front. She was only about Jin at the moment.
She felt her body growing weak under his strong presence but the girl held her ground somehow before she tilted her head upward and while staring at him in the eyes with her moistened gaze, she asked in a whisper, “Then…what am I to you…?”
Jin didn’t reply to her rather he brought his left arm toward her waist, encircling the thin frame before he brought the girl closer to him and inched his face closer to her.
His breath brushed slightly over his face. His eyelashes are long that she noticed before Fiona’s vision went dark since she no longer had her eyes open. All she felt was his gentle lips overlapping hers and this warming sensation spreading across her chest.
This was a new sensation for her yet she already was liking it. The small peck soon intensified as Jin detached his lips from hers before planting them back, this time sucking on her soft cushions and enjoying the taste she provided.
It was the first time he has kissed someone after reincarnation and he was glad that it was with someone who genuinely loved him.
Fiona just gave in herself to him, her limp body entirely supported by his strong arm and lips enslaved by his passionate caress. Under normal circumstances, the sounds of their lip-locking would have been regarded as indecent by her, but right now she cannot express how elated and fulfilled she was feeling being in such an intimate connection with the person she loves.
Even if he doesn’t love her back as much as Fiona does, she would remain happy until Jin is paying attention to her and not ignoring her feelings. And with this kiss, he told her how much importance Fiona holds in his life…

[Jin’s POV: ]
“Oh…so that happened. I knew that if not something incredibly severe would have occurred, you would not have accused Vice-President.”
I hummed in response to the baby girl who was currently occupying my lap as we sat on the bed with Fiona’s back attached to my chest and my arms locked around her belly.
Things might have escalated after the kiss if I hadn’t regained my self-control. The face Fiona had after our passionate moments was inviting my whole being to take the next steps and knowing her feelings, I knew she wouldn’t have rejected my advances. But I have some principles which I could never let go of.
Since Fiona hadn’t eaten anything since morning I called for lunch and joined the table since good food is something I never can get tired of.
In between the meal, she asked me how come I was holding Vice-President as a captive and the Professor also seemed cool about it.
…seriously, I sometimes believe that Fiona is a little too divergent from her canon counterpart since when things related to political stuff, she was supposed to be the most attentive, being a leading heiress and all. Yet, all she primarily cared about was why I was carrying Silvie.
“That’s why I want you to refrain from meeting me for some time since everyone around me might get in trouble if Phil’s father comes down to it.”
Fiona halted her sway before she barely turned her head to direct her glare at me. Her hand clutched my forearm and for a moment, that fierce look made me shiver.
“No one can dare to hurt you, Jin. You have saved my life once and now it’s time for me to defend you from every threat. So please, don’t hope that I would comply with your words.”
…that wasn’t a request but rather a statement.
“Stop making that serious face. ” I hugged Fiona to dispel the growing clouds of gloom since I know whatever comes, I wouldn’t let anything happen to anyone because of me.
I just need to keep calm and prepare for what is to come in two months.
