Let me be a mob! - Chapter 55.5-SS 1: Fiona\\\'s suspicion, Dia\\\'s guilt?
A/N: – This happens after the conversion of Fiona in chapter 55.

“Whom do you belong to? Seriously, Nana? You said such things as your confession?”
Upon Dia’s exclamation which came out upon hearing the whole story of what transpired today in Jin’s room, Fiona covered her head like those words were hitting her, with her arms with tears daring to roll down any moment now.
Dia was happy that her best friend was finally able to reveal her love for the man she has yearned for a long but hearing such corny and embarrassing lines which were extremely out of character for someone like Fiona, made Dia reluctant to believe her own ears.
The person who usually remains stoic despite what situation arises was able to utter those things, more so when Fiona intended to remain shy and reserved at the topic of romance… Indeed Dia has justified reason to become this shocked.
“Don’t repeat that! It was just in the heat of the moment!”
With teary eyes, Fiona retorted, entirely ashamed of her own behavior back in Jin’s room. She indeed wanted to let him know her feelings but not in such an indecent manner!
Where did all the classes of etiquette and mannerism fly to when she was with him? Wouldn’t he think of her as a cheap woman?
“You are wrong Nana. Jin is not that kind of guy who would judge you just because you made some bold statements.”
It was no longer a surprise for Fiona that her sister-like friend was to perceive her thoughts without her telling but what Dia said in an attempt to console her was not much effective.
Someone so talented and strong like Jin who was destined to become a national or maybe a worldwide hero must have many suitors waiting in line for him. Although Fiona didn’t consider herself any less than those high noble imperial ladies who mainly could be seen in the higher circles of society, it doesn’t change the fact that her first impression of her possible love life was anything but memorable.
Ah, it was memorable but not in a way she would like to recall it.
Oh almighty lord, either revert the time or dig a hole where she could hide herself now…
“You are overthinking Nana. If anything I bet Jin might have been too startled by your sudden shift in temperament which made him stump at that moment. And if my calculations are right then a domineering female must be to his liking.”
That piqued her interest and suspicion.
Leaving the fact of Jin’s possible preference for a woman for now, what Fiona most likely wanted to know was something else.
“And how do you know his inclination to a dominatrix?”
That sounded not that bad and truth be told she has sometimes fantasized about herself in that role with Jin which no one knew about including Dia.
But that would be a matter to ponder about for a later date. Something which mattered as of now was how come Dia was so informed about Jin and when such hidden interaction underwent for Dia to realize Jin’s liking?
Hearing her friend’s query and that narrowed gaze which a moment ago was droopy like a lost pup, made Dia panic a little but she held her stance and replied with slight hesitation.
“You remember the first day…w-when I and Jin were late for homeroom? I pushed him to the wall for interrogation and believe it or not he replied everything in a tamed manner. ” He was cute that day by the way.
The last part never came out since without realizing Dia had some insecurities about admitting her true thoughts to that person from whom the Princess never actually hid anything.
Fiona raised her brows, surprise written over her face before she asked in an uncertain tone.
“You pushed him to a wall and he replied everything innocently? What did you even interrogate him about?”
“Of course, it was whether he was the same person who rules my Nana’s dreams, but alas he lied through his teeth.”
Fiona upon hearing the confident remark, stayed silent for a bit leaning herself back to the bed with her knees folded and locked by her arms.
Dia also sat back on the bed after a small confrontation with her friend as she looked at the anxious silver-haired maiden. Dia was about to ask what was making Fiona so troubled when the person herself spoke up about something completely out of nowhere…or maybe not.
“Hey, Dia…do you like Jin?”
Fiona was not looking into her friend’s eyes when she asked that since somehow Fiona already knew the answer.
In the past whenever Fiona talked about that incident when she came across her savior Dia always listened to it with full attention and also the sparkle in the blonde’s eyes showcased how much she was intrigued by the man connected to Fiona by the incident.
The close bond both girls shared was not because of obligation but the similarity in their liking toward various things in which the story of the Knight in shining armor was also included.
And to add toppings to the dessert, the last birthday Fiona celebrated before enrollment, the gift she got from Dia was a painting of the same man Fiona has described through her words. All those details, that feature, everything was perfect to the very last detail.
Fiona did contemplate such a possibility at that time, but now the chances of her friend harboring the same feelings toward Jin seemed rather more certain.
However…
“I don’t like him as a man, Nana and if in the future, I find myself falling for him, my priority would remain in informing you, alright?”
It would be after a lot while that Dia would realize how she lied to her sister for the first time, that day.

A/N: – Comment. Drop.
lol the author is getting less and less polite in his requests(and now demands) for the readers to comment
also it may just be me but imo I don’t really think that it’s worth translating and putting in those comment request author notes because the author will never see them if we comment here
